  1. How is this possible since there is no fuel crossfeed through a decoupler or separator? And the answer on the question is very simple, dont attach the tanks of the lander and the plane but put a strucural part in between. If that doesn work, put a fuel duct from the plane to the lander.
  2. Replace the rover body with girder parts, in that way it wil just look more like Curiosity more than yours does now
  3. So super thrilling!!! Can't wait for more to come!
  4. Let's go for a Kerbol landing! Kerbalston, I think i'ts becomming hotter here, but i'm going in for touchdown Kerbalston.... You cant walk on Kerbol...
  5. Lol, I found out a week ago that the kerbal wich you rescued would become yours.... until then i've been hiring them at one point for L300.000 per kerbonaut.... Now I've around 30 (or more, I don't know) rescued kerbals in my Space program ^^
  6. Also bear in mind that the LV-N doesn't use oxidizer!!! Only liquid fuel. I'm ashamed of the fact that I found it just a week ago, also in the turorial of Scott Manley.
  7. Maybe also, don't choose the option 'mining for ore' ore something like that. You have a second option on an Asteroid called 'start Asteroid harvester', you have to choose that one
  8. The optimal way to the Mun is to start your transfer, burning prograde when the Mun is rising over Kerbin from the perspective of your vessel
  9. Put a Oscar-B fuel tankt under a probodobodyne OKTO, a Ant under the Oscar and you have 3000 deltaV!!! Super easy way to position mini probes or mini landers on outer planets
  10. Then make it smaller, Curiosity wasn't that big anyway
  11. Another question, can you post the mission report of the JOOL 5 challenge in 'Mission Reports? In that way I can have my 'own' thread with feedback etc.
  12. Well, with bases it's kinda different, you don't easily put a base on one body and then move it to another.
  13. It does, you can cash L80.000 for a L10.000 rocket, and besides, you can of course load multiple satellites on your rocket
  14. This could be the start then for commercial communication satellites?!
  15. Not even in the extra large one??? (3,75m)
  16. You can use the formulas to calculate your everyday kerbal needs: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Cheat_sheet a few examples of formulas wich you can use: Thrust to Weight ratio (TWR) = to calculate if you are actually ascending. a TWR of less than 1 means you are not escaping from the celestial body on wich you are. A TWR of more than 1 means logically that you are actually going to take off! DeltaV = to calculate the required change in speed. To orbit Kerbin, you have to go at a speed of around 2250 metres per second. Escaping from Kerbin's atmosphere costs around 1250 metres per second. So if you want to go from the surface to a orbit you need 1250 + 2250 = 3500 m/s. The formula: "9,81 x Isp x LN(weight full/weight empty)" calculates how many 'change in speed' your vessel has. (Isp is the specific impulse wich counts for the engine that is thrusting your vessel, can be found in the engine info in the VAB/SPH) It's really not rocket science once you understand it.. it's just basic math For me, KSP would be incredible harder without these formulas also: there are mods, like MechJeb, wich calculate these number automatically, and per stage. But you need to understand them first
  17. Yes you can transfer fuel but also monopropellant, kerbals, even electricity. Just beware of the type of dockingport you use. The junior for instance cannot transfer kerbals but only fuel and the normal one can transfer almost everything.
  18. Hi fellow kerbals! So i'm doing carreer and I just want to check your opinion about the set up of a satellite contract. It says: Launch a new satellite So if you are already have one in orbit, that one doesn't count, fair enough so far. BUT! If you accept two here's what I can do: - Accept 2 satellite contracts - launch 1 satellite - position it for the required orbit (contract 1 completed) - change orbit and position it for the required orbit for contract 2 (contract 2 completed) So It's like the company of the contract says, hey! as long as you bring it up there for 10 seconds you get tons of money.. I think this isn't real. The better way for instance is if you position a satellite for a contract, it fixes it path or just dissapears What do you guys think?
  19. Schock Cones have an intake speed of 12 while the RAM has only 10. The ram is 10% better in surface and intake but loses it advantage at higher speeds.
