  1. Hello everyone! Just a little request, if you have some input that I can use it would be very helpful! For things like craftdesign, explorations, transfers, mining or any other topic. greetz, Ferdoni
  2. Hello fellow Kerbonauts! I'd like to share with you my Baxter P5. A great plane to be controlled entirely from the cockpit! It weighs around 70 tons on the runway. It's based on the boeing 747 jumbojet as you can see. the second plane is the Baxter X5. The same as the Baxter P5 but without the cargo capacity. It has more manoeuvrability due to the large control surface area. Kreetz, Ferdoni
  3. little bit of double post but hete my replica's of the Catalina PBY and the Boeing 314 Clipper The last picture is a real one so you can judge for yourselves The second one is the Boeing 314 Clipper. One of the most biggest waterplanes ever flown. It has a cool pod so you can actually get out and back in. handy for on water crew transitions. Here also the last picture is a real one Kreetings!! Ferdoni
  4. ~Kerbin Explorations~ Hello fellow kerbonauts!! In the last episodes I gathered most of the science around KSC. But now is the time for the first real exploration mission!! The Kerbal team of this mission is going to be: Pilot - Jedpont Kerman Flight Engineer - Caricca Kerman Commander - Bilmon Kerman Recource engineer - Jengan Kerman Chief Scientist - Will Kerman Scientist - Ergee Kerman Junior Scientist - Cerdra Kerman Expected flying time: 5 hours I will depart just before sunrise at the first light to get the most of the day. 5 hours of flying time means around 13.000 units of liquid fuel is needed. Given the fact that I only have 8000 units, for the refueling point I will refuel at spots when I have some time left to sunset to get the last bits of sunlight. Biomes which have to be covered are: - Ice Caps - Northern Ice Shelf - Southern Ice Shelf - Tundra - Grasslands - Deserts - Badlands - Atmosphere The planned route wich is going to be followed is as follows: Because I saw that the wings and ore tanks were empty, I made a small refueling vehicle to pump the last drop of LF and ore in the KBE. First step, all the way to the south pole! I also converted some ore to fuel mid-flight. It took me around 1,5 hour real time to fly there, so some homework was made underwhile After the southern ice caps I went to the ice caps! landing was tough, because the relief of the terrain. flying through the landscape was absolutely astonishing!! look for the pics, I couldn't imagine the beauty of kerbin until now. I mean, look at this! Flying to Tundra also was not a punishment at all. I discovered when I put down my plane that I had some sunlight left. My ore drills and converter gave me in around 30 minutes 600LF! Which I found a pretty good deal. When its dawn again, we're going to pick up the route. Because flying around Kerbin costs me quite a bit of time, I will cut this exploration in parts. In the next episode I'm aiming to get at least to the Northern Ice Shelf. Kreetings!! Ferdoni
  5. ~Vessel introduction~ Hello fellow kerbonauts!!! So here's a little update about all the current missions: As you can see in my space centre I use some abbreviations so I'm going to explain some of them to you: The first two letters means the body they are going to, meaning: - Po = Pol - Mu = Mun - Mi = Minmus - Gi = Gilly - Ik = Ike - Ee = Eeloo - Mo = Moho - Dr = Dres All the abbreviations are unique and the science ships are all called <body> explorer. For the second two letters, they mean a specific purpose, which are: - OS = Ore Scanner - Ry = Relay - MB = Mining Base There are also some exceptions, such as the Mun Space Station which is called MuSS or the MM Explorer which means Mun and Minmus explorer. And one is called Ike Comnmnet, but I will rename that soon. Many relays serve more bodies, such as the Ike Relay, Gilly Relay and the Pol Mining base. They have to serve the local system. The preparation is not clearly finished yet, I still have to make a suitable Explorer for the Eve system and for Jool and Laythe. The Tylo Explorer will be renamed for exploring Pol, Bop and Vall as well. Enough said!! Let's look at the ships! A overview in the tracking station, quite a lot of ships... Of course, first the Kerbal Space Station! Here will all the returning missions dock and will the science be gathered in one science container to be returned in once.... As you can see, a space shuttle is still docked, it's because Jeb, Bob, Bill and Vall just brought a module replacement to the station. The Mun station! Nothing spectacular, after the main tank is empty, it will be undocked and then a tanker can be connected. This is a mining base (from the the grey tank to the front) and a tanker (the orange part). The tanker can fly on its own from minmus to Mun to replenish the MM Explorer The Jool system has also a station, for organisation reasons... An example of an explorer, this one has mining capabilities (I think this is the Duna Explorer, as you can see it's more aerodynamic) I also made a little ship to explore the Kerbol Space Fun pic, you can see how many kerbals are already on a mission... 51! But I want more! (And that's going to happen for certain) Kreetz! Ferdoni
  6. Hellow fellow Kerbonauts!!! So I thought to share some of my waterplane replica's with you guys! The first one is the Catalina PBY. In my mind the most beautiful!!! Note that I made some cool gear storing bay The last picture is a real one so you can judge for yourselves The second one is the Boeing 314 Clipper. One of the most biggest waterplanes ever flown. It has a cool pod so you can actually get out and back in. handy for on water crew transitions. Here also the last picture is a real one Kreetings!! Ferdoni
  7. Always loving your contraptions Cupcake! And loooove your channel! I always check for a upload from you when I'm on youtube
  8. ~Roving the KSC~ Hello fellow kerbonauts! Okay, so after a hopeful post that gave me a slight headache, I made a small rover-like car to gather all the science from the micro biomes at the KSC. I used this map from reddit: As you see I added a science lab to clean out the mystery goo and materials bay, if I had to do that by a scientist every time, I would went crazy pretty soon! I had to use quite some 'acrobatic' manoeuvering but got some nice biomes! But at last!! i gathered 290 science expirements!!! that means 29 micro biomes ^^ Docked it at the Kerbin Biome Scanner Turned out I scanned 2 biomes twice, runway and vab, so my science container now contains... 348 science expirements!!!!!! Pretty succesful round while not moving more than 1km from the KSC ^^ Gathered 35 biomes, that means only 8 to go for real now, but that comes in some other episode. Thats it for this part, in the next part I will show you wich spacecraft are already airborne so stay tuned!! greetz Ferdoni
  9. ~First Steps at Kerbin~ The first part!!! I've launched a zillion spacecraft already but i wanted to show you the first steps on kerbin. This is the Kerbin Biome Explorer: This plane is made to fly to every biome and gather the science. It can also mine and refuel at any place and on board are science experiments and a lab to restore the materials bay and mystery goo: Because I dont want to drive all the way around KSC with this thing, I made three other constraptions to gather science, plug it on the Plane and let the container gather all the science This includes the biomes: Crawlerway, Runway, Launchpad, KSC, Shores, Water, Mountains and Highlands. This is because the plane is unfit to get there. Biomes explored in this episode are: -Kerbin- KSC Launchpad Crawlerway Runway Water Shores Mountains Highlands only 8 more to go on kerbin! Ice Caps Northern Ice Shelf Southern Ice Shelf Tundra Grasslands Deserts Badlands Atmosphere oh boy... that means quite a long fight from the north to the south... Stay tuned!! Ferdoni
  10. Hey fellow kerbonauts!! So I started a new career... and I thought; how many science is there to be gathered troughout the kerbol system? so all the expirements in all the biomes on all the bodies. not including: - station science - repeating science experiments - asteroid science - etc I started a new science career and edited the savegame so I could unlock the whole techtree. mods I use are only for convenience: Mechjeb RPM Vesselviewer Final Frontier Trajectories Astronomers Visual Pack Im planning to keep you guys up to date in the coming period on the findings of the Kerbol Exploration Program!! Parts: First Steps at Kerbin Roving the KSC Vessel introduction Kerbin Explorations part 1 Kerbin Explorations part 2 Kerbin Explorations part 3 Onwards to Mun! From Mun to Minmus with love KHASE KSR Mission Departure Party and Mohole (not) in one! Progress: Edit: Any suggestions for craft, explorations or other topics are welcome! Kreetings! Ferdoni
  11. Hey fellow Kerbonauts!!! So I have a problem. I want to set up telemachus with another pc. On the laptop where I run KSP on, everything works fine, no problem. Then I go to my pc, put the good link in the adress bar (with the IP adress of my laptop of course). But it says that the IP adress denied acces. What do i do wrong!? Thanks in advance!
  12. thanks! I'm using free IVA for the images in the ship. And for the computer monitors I use RasterPropMonitor! Grtz, Ferdoni
  13. Hello fellow kerbonauts!!! Here is the part IV of the Dunares Mission!! Part 4:Duna descent and discovery It's been a few hours after the orbit insertion around Duna and Mission Control has sent their data for a suitable landing site. Jebediah Kerman:"Val! Bill, Bob and I are ready!" Valentina Kerman:"Allright Jeb, the bay is opening, you can go whenever you're ready!" Jebediah Kerman:"Undock!" The DLV floats away from her mothership... Bill Kerman:"We are undocked and floating away from the ship!" Jebediah Kerman:"Prepare for deceleration burn!" The DLV is now slowing down to lower her periapsis just above Duna's atmosphere At the dark side, Jeb reduces the speed of the lander even more to enter Duna's deadly atmosphere.. The DLV hits the atmposhere and slows down even more "Fire the engine!!" yells Jeb in order to reduce the chance of ripping the parachutes apart. Jebediah Kerman:"Now!" The parachute opens up and the boys squeeze together by the g-forces as the craft loses her last terminal velocity. The landing legs are lowered And the crew see the Duna surface slowly becoming closer and closer... Moments before impact, Jeb urges to fire the engine one last time to help the parachutes slow the craft down for a soft landing.. And with a blast, the DLV lands on the Duna surface For the first time ever, the Kerbal landed on a new planet. As part of the bigger mission to colonize the rest of the universe! As commander, Jebediah Kerman has the honour of planting the flag (and his foot) on Duna! After a while of walking around and enjoying the violent and deadly atmosphere of Duna, Jeb realizes that he misses someone... Jebediah Kerman:"Hey Bill, where's Bob??" Bill Kerman:"No idea, but propably wandering around somewhere.." And yes, Bob was going for an adventure and discovered loads of sand! Afther he hears Jeb talking to Bill where he is, he turnes his head and realizes he went a little far. The DLV is now only a little dot at the horizon... Boof!!! Jeb and Bill hear a thud behind them and sea Bob rolling towards them. Jebediah Kerman:"Where were you??" Bob Kerman:"I've found loads of sand!!!" Jebediah Kerman:"Very interesting! But we have to go, we have to head back to the Dunares for a mission report. And we have limited supplies here" The crew goes back in the DLV and Jebediah turns his head to look one last time at this beautiful red planet... The solar panels and ladders retract and the DLV is moments away before she begins here way home... But that is for another episode!! Stay tuned!
  14. A couple: AutoRove, EVE, Chatterer, DMagig Orbital Science, FreeIVA, RPM, Kerbal Alarm Clock, KSA, Mechjeb, MK3 internals, ResearchBodies, Scansat, Scatterer, ScienceAlert, Trajectories and Vesselviewer Ehm I don't see anything odd to be honest. That's not clear, I think everytime I restart the game, they're on again. Not always though, just a moment before I unclick the infinite fuel and rcs. Then it doesn't come back until the next time I restart KSP. I don't know, I will try it out asap I don't know if this works because I run also two other sandbox savegames, and each time I have to turn them off, regardless how many times I save them. Not that I know of, I searched for cheat data in the files but i couldn't find any
  15. Hello fellow kerbonauts!!! It's been a while but I was a little busy these days, but here is the part III!! Part 3:Duna arrival and preparations The crew of the Dunares are underway to Duna and have to test the DLV. The plan is to undock, manoeuver and redock te DLV. Maxigh sets up an connection and a direct TV-link with mission control to supervise and directly evaluate the test. Jeb, Bob and Bill take their places in the DLV and the doors open up. Valentina Kerman grabs the intercom:"Allright boys! You are all set?" Jeb replies with a brief answer: "Yeep!" Val: "Undock!!" Bill: "We are undocked!" The DLV slowly floats away from the Dunares. Jeb: "All systems are working sweet like a baby!" Bill: "No complications here" Val: "Allright boys, good work! That's good for now, come back in!" Jeb: "That's what she..." Val: "Shut it Jeb, just redock it without a scratch" Jebediah takes his job very seriously as he manoeuvres the DLV smooth back in the bay and Bill redocks it quickly. And the DLV is again a part of the Dunares again! The test is carried out smoothly and Mission Control content with the results. As Jeb, Bill and Bob go to the passenger module to evaluate the mission with Val and Mission Control, the cargo bay slowly close. After a while the Dunares has almost entered the sphere of influence of Duna. A sharp eye on board of the Dunares can allready spot the red planet. Ten days later Duna is almost within arm's reach. The crew and Mission Controlis prepare the orbit insertion to circualize Duna. Val: "All set?" Hadmin: "Go!" Neldon: "Go!" Mission Control: "It's a go for the insertion burn!!" Val: "Gooo!" After the burn, the Dunares now officially is a moon of Duna as it orbits the beautiful and both deadly red planet... And that's it for this episode! Next time Jeb, Bill and Bob will land on Duna and discover this new unknown world! Stay tuned!
  16. Also make sure ksp is NOT installed in the program files folder. You can store it anywhere you like but there
  17. Also bear in mind that you have to attach some parts to the satellite like a antenna, solar panels or sometimes science equipment. You are not the first to find out why the contract is not accepted that you miss a thermother for instance
  18. Yes you can do that, I did it as well with 1.0.4 and 1.0.5. But for me the game didnt work in the program files folder so maybe you want a different location. With me the game is in my google drive folder so i can acces it from my laptop and pc. Works fine
  19. You have to attach the mechjeb part first. If you are on the launch pad, open the mechjeb menu and select 'Ascent guidance'. Enter the apoapsis and periapsis and optionally the inclination. Make sure the staging is correct, hit 'engage autopilot' and hit spacebar. Mechjeb wil automatically stage for you the rest of the launch. It wil disengage the autopilot when the requirements are met and voila! Your contract should be complete. My advice is to test this first in sandbox mode! Greetings, Ferdoni
  20. Yes whenever I launch I check it and turn it off when its on. But it keeps coming back
  21. Hellow fellow kerbonauts! So once for a test I did select the infinite fuel and rcs. Everything is fine for so on. But in my career (another savegame) and on almost any other launch the buttons are always on! And its annoyi g because i want do launch without cheats! Anyone who has a solution? Thanks in advance! Ferdoni
  22. Hello fellow kerbonauts!!! The second part of the Dunares mission is finally here!! Part 2:Duna transit and Jeb has a problem Its been a few days in wich the brave kerbonauts have orbited their homeplanet Kerbin and made preperations before the transferwindow. Valentina Kerman grabs the intercom: "Allright guys! Within two orbits from now we will begin our transferburn towards Duna! Maxigh, set up a direct link with Mission Control in the KSC. We have the data for the autopilot burn but we need backup info. We also need the go ahead from Mission Control" "Hadmin and Neldon, you have got the settings for the autopilot and everything should be fine. If there's anything wrong, don't hesitate to react. Keep a sharp eye on any irregularity." Two orbits later: Valentina Kerman:"Let's do it!" Hadmin Kerman:"Autopilot enabled, ship is on course, pilot is ready!" Valentina Kerman:"Requesting go for transitburn" Mission Control:"Go ahead!" The whole ship shakes as it trembles under the mighty engines. Mission Control:"Allright Dunares, you are under way! We'll check in on you guys later on. Mission Control out." The crew sees their homeplanet and the lovely Mün dissapear... They are now under way to the unknown planet Duna... The crew is now a few days underway in the trip to Duna. Jebediah Kerman:"Hey Val, can I talk to you for a second?" Valentina Kerman:"Of course Jeb, what's up" Jebediah Kerman:"Ehm.. I have to show you" Valentina Kerman:"Okay, let's go then!" They put on their EVA suits and go outside to the rear cargo bay and Jeb opens it Jebediah Kerman:"Look, this is the problem" Valentina Kerman:"What? Is there is something wrong with the DLV???" Jebediah Kerman:"Yes.. very wrong, it has to few boosters, it need moar" Valentina Kerman:"Jeb... it has far enough DeltaV to bring you down and up from Duna!" Jebediah Kerman:"What's a deltavee?" Valentina Kerman:"It's Delta... V! It means the differince in speed. It's a measuring for spacecraft to measure theire range" Jebediah Kerman:"Why don't you measure in boosters?" Valentina Kerman:"It doesn't work like that" Jebediah Kerman:"Well, but it needs moar!!" Valentina Kerman:"Jeb, we can't right now, we are already underway remember" Jebediah Kerman:"Oh yeah that's true..." Valentina Kerman:"But I asked for more boosters back on Kerbin but they wouldtn't build them" Jebediah Kerman:"You did??" Valentina Kerman:"I did... for you!" Jebediah Kerman:"Thank you.. you are moar nicer than I thought" Valentina Kerman:"Thank you Jeb, shall we go inside and start planning the Duna landing?" Jebediah Kerman:"Yeees!" And that's it for this episode! Next time the crew will arrive at Duna and prepare the landing! Stay tuned!
  23. Yeah, Jeb too thats why Jeb and his comrades had to stay in the passenger module so far...
