They are NAS guns, so they have the smoke effect, and the yellow things are the projectiles.

Hmm, I'd be interested if you could build a fairly low part count Arado seaplane to go with the Bismarck. @Azimech I used quite a few large boilers. Probably went overkill, but I can use redundancy as an excuse.

The Saturnian Naval Dockyards Presents... THE BISMARCK! The Bismarck was the first of the twin Bismarck-Class Battleships. She served in the Kriegsmarine during WWII, and entered service on August 24th 1940. She was named after Otto Von Bismarck, the primary force behind Germany's unification in 1871. It led a short career participating in Operation Rheinubung in May 1941 to raid allied shipping in the Atlantic. The British spotted her and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen several time in Scandinavia. They intercepted her and Prinz Eugen at The Battle Of The Denmark Strait, but soon HMS Hood, pride of the Royal Navy was destroyed, and Prince of Wales was heavily damaged. Bismarck took multiple hits and suffered an oil leak, and it split off from Prinz Eugen to reach Occupied France. The British Fleet’s Ark Royal deployed Swordfish bombers and one scored a hit on the battleships rudder, disabling it. In the final battle involving a huge portion of the British Fleet the next morning, the heavy bombardment resulted in her being scuttled by the crew. 2200 men were killed. Imminent release on Bismarck, added ballast tanks, as my battleship was always pitched up in the front. Also added action groups for the guns. -
ExoMars 2016: on its way to Mars!

Apparently the Breeze-M stage broke up into 9 fragments after the spacecraft separated, but TGO seems fine.http://spaceflightnow.com/2016/03/23/europes-exomars-orbiter-smoothly-cruising-toward-red-planet/ -
A Thread for Writers to talk about Writing
SaturnianBlue replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP Fan Works
Hmm, any tips to try and make Jeb and Bill a bit more... Original? I'd imagine with the ground crew and Val I suppose it's that I simply haven't given much to do but talk. I wonder if there's something I don't have or too much of in The Asteroid Sentinels, like keeping the reader engaged or anything. For one thing, I'm rarely consistent with what I do sometimes. -
Show off your awesome KSP pictures!

My ~890 Part DKM Bismarck sailing not too far off the KSC Coast. It was in 2X physics warp, though that isn't much with so many parts. -

The Bismarck Is finished, but some testing still needs to happen, as at anything above 2X warp the front tower sort of flops around in a bizarre fashion, so strutting is necessary, and the bow needed to be fixed, though since these screenshots were taken I think i fixed the problem. The album has a picture of the ship as whole, one compared to @Azimech's CVE, and a KVV. -

I've tried to somewhat establish kerbal roles in the newest episodes, and and have their relationships be looked at from their own perspective, but perhaps I've made it too direct. Also, what do you think about the kerbal characters in general? What has worked in series 7 so far, and what hasn't? -

SaturnianBlue replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yes! The front half of the superstructure is almost totally complete, and now I'm currently working on the smokestack bit, and then I'll work of the the back half's mast, and a couple more details, attach the armament, and then send it off for some sea trials and i'm done! -
Here we are! 5 Pages tonight, as the kerbals try and recollect the scattered pieces of the space station, and Wernher plans a meeting across the sea... Of course, the purpose of this Kerbal from the station is likely to be contested, but i'm not telling you why he's here! Also, that plane on the 3rd page is technically and X-Wing right? It's capable of Mach ~4+ at height, and Mach 3+ at sea level.

A Thread for Writers to talk about Writing
SaturnianBlue replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP Fan Works
The talk about relationships and conflict and etc makes me wonder about my story. I've tried to some extent to separate characters by speech style, but I'd like feedback about the personalities of my characters, I wonder if their ok or potentially in danger of blending into each other. Relationships in The Asteroid Sentinels haven't really gone to much extent, sure the occasional debate and dialogue might demonstrate things, but I don't know if this really goes to show. Obviously the conflict between the kerbal public and the KSC/Kerbonauts is the main thing, but many of the romping around the kerbonauts do doesn't really show much in the conflict, though perhaps that conflict is more or less between the KSC. Conflicts also make me wonder about character development, and I feel as if the graphic novel hasn't been great at the interior though of my kerbals. Now here's the thing: The Asteroid Sentinels has had multiple stories through the times. However, the story sort of blends into the earlier stories, which would make a "beginning" to the current story hard to really pin down, as stories overlap. -
WW2 Escort Carrier - 97 parts
SaturnianBlue replied to Azimech's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Ooohhh! Target practice for battleships! /s In all seriousness, I will likely be checking this carrier out, it's a nice low part count, simple design. -

Work on the Bismarck continues, with the upper deck, the bridge, and almost all things in the aft superstructure complete. The main tower still needs to have work done to be completed. Over all though, the Bismarck is likely doing better than Prinz Eugen was at this stage, as i'm at 587 parts. Provided you don't use very slow Swordfish torpedo bombers with some luck.... -

I've successfully updated to WW2 Warships 0.5, and the Bismarck's 1st Deck is finished, and all for turrets have been installed. The ship still reaches a good 16.5 M/s, but I need to figure out how to STOP breaking the bow is spectacular fashion. The Scatterer shaders weren't working as planned, unfortunately. At 363 parts now! -
Woah... This is probably one of the first times a graphic novel or for that matter a fanfic made me close to tears... This chapter has everything!
