  1. You might have had a similar issue to me, the Kerbpaint got messed up for some reason. Though the paint menu still worked.
  2. Especially being the IJN's largest battleship. There's probably a sense of "revenge" that went on. Nagato after all was (I believe) where the attack on Pearl Harbor was commanded from.
  3. I use a several year old MacBookPro for KSP. It's crashed a couple times, but considering the part count, I think that's fine. A Yamato would certainly be something I could build, but It would probably be the highest part thing I ever made. Also, I see the reference to the Type 93 in your title.
  4. The Saturnian Naval Dockyards Presents.... THE MIGHTY HOOD! The HMS Hood was to be the first in a series of four Admiral Class Battlecruisers designed during WWI, with Germany building large Mackensen-Class battlecruisers. She was laid down the same day as the Battle Of Jutland, and the loss of three British battlecruisers caused the work to be suspended, and was redesigned, with more armor. In 1917, the construction of the three sister ships (Anson, Howe, Rodney) were halted, as the construction of merchant ships would be more important, with the U-Boat blockade. HMS Hood's construction continued. She was commissioned on May 15, 1920. The Hood was involved in many "showing the flag" missions between 1920 and 1939, including a circumnavigation of the world with the Special Service Squadron in 1923-1924. She was given refits from 1929-1930. While headed to Gibraltar for a Mediterranean cruise in 1935, she was rammed in the port side quarter deck by the battlecruiser Renown, damaging her left outer propeller and leaving a dent. Both captains were court-martialed, as well as the squadron commander. The squadron commander and the Hood's captain were acquitted, but the Renown's captain was relieved. The Hood was due for a badly needed refit in 1941, as the ship was outdated and her material condition was badly deteriorated. However, World War II broke out, and this was soon an impossibility. She was employed with patrolling the vicinity on Iceland and the Faroe Islands to protect convoys and intercept merchant raiders and blockade runners. On September 25, 1939, the Home Fleet was spotted by German aircraft, and the Hood was fit by a 250Kg bomb, and needed a refit. In 1940 the Hood participated in the destruction of the French Fleet to avoid them falling in enemy hands. When the Bismarck sailed with Prinz Eugen for the Atlantic, the Hood and Prince Of Wales set out to intercept them. On May 24th, between Greenland and Iceland, they met. The Hood engaged the Prinz Eugen, the ship in the front. The German ship returned fire several minutes later, with Prinz Eugen scoring a hit, starting a fire with the ready-use ammunition. The Hood was turning to reveal her rear turrets, when she was hit on the deck by a shell from the Bismarck, at 16.65 Km away. A huge jet of flame shot out, and a devastating magazine explosion followed, destroying the back of the Hood, and the ship sunk in only three minutes, with the bow pointed near vertically. Only three survived. MODS For the ship to appear in full glory BDArmory (Requirement for NAS) C.A.L++ (Community Ammunition Library for BDArmory)(Ammo for NAS guns) KerbPaint(Hull Paint) NAS - Naval Artillery System (Weapons systems) TweakScale - Rescale Everything!(For parts where the ship needed specific sizes and I wasn't willing to raise part count) WW2 Warships(Hull, much of the superstructure) Recommended Vessel mover/Hyperedit to move around, Hanger extender to see the whole ship in the SPH, Scatterer-Nice waves DOWNLOAD This ship is part of my Battle of The Denmark Strait pack. 883 parts, over 260 meters long, capable of reaching 20 M/s (5.5 M/s after than the real thing...) 5. Finally got 1.1. Sadly with Kerbpaint gone wrong and having trouble with hyper edit, I decided to do a high velocity deceleration test, but with the 10Meter Heatshields. The scenario- At ~15 Kilometers, the engine controls are down, and clearly the landing in the water is the only option. (Ignore the Island Runway). Unfortunately, with the throttle stuck, they will be coming down at over Mach 2 (and ignoring the idea of turning then landing), but they've got a heat shield... Results-Success! The deceleration slowed the ship down to about 100 M/s, and allowed a good enough splashdown that while the fins and the engines didn't survive, the general structure did, so everyone lives.
  6. I think I'll restart work on the project once my Battle Of The Denmark Strait pack is done.
  7. Love the Whitewing 1 design! Valentina's sense of humor is quite a contrast from Plan Kappa, and was certainly delightful!
  8. I gave HMS Hood a paint job, and it seems to turn fine, accelerate fine, but I still need to get it in such a way that at 2X warp the ship won't end up in a distressing form. I'm not sure about what to do with the floating stern, 881 Parts now, nearly equal to the Bismarck.
  9. I forgot to say hello when I joined the forums, so here's me officially saying hello, 1 year to the day i joined the KSP forums. I joined to come ask about a strange bug, and titled the thread "Spacecraft/Rocket Suddenly pitches over/Explodes (Debris ejected at light speed)", when I was working on my MESSENGER replica, the result which was the above, once I had managed to fix the bizarre issues. For a while I didn't post much, though soon I posted stock replicas of spacecrafts/rockets, before (mostly) moving on to modded ones. I also started The Asteroid Sentinels, the 2nd graphic novel mission report on the forums that I know of. My general focus is generally naval ships (in KSP yes,) for now. Hello!
  10. HMS Hood is structurally complete, but unfortunately I still have to do Sea trials, and the ships stern is still hanging in the air disturbingly. Here's an imager album with the ship "finished", though the kerbpaints got messed up a bit, not sure why. Also, a gif of what happens when I blow up something like 10 Tallboy bombs in the back sections... Also, the reason he back turret is missing is because it sort of just fell off when I entered vesselmover.
  11. Still on 1.0.5 for now, i've resumed progress on the HMS Hood after finishing a episode on the Asteroid Sentinels, and with about a month to go till the 75th Anniversary of the Battle Of The Denmark Strait, i'm 80% done with the Hood, I need to complete the mast, the one "Chicago Piano" Pom-Pom gun mount, a couple more turrets (and the border around), and a bit more. Today i finished the main aft structure, added a rocket, and the little bit between the aft and the middle. I have no intention of building the little boats/rafts though.
  12. Great, I don't really want to confuse the readers with a strange subplot with strange premises.
  13. Really though, I just use PowerPoint's Remove background function. And yes, Blue Screen are also a thing to try, but IVA suits happens to be light-blue, so the very bright shade of green I use now seems to work.
  14. @KuzzterI posted the newest episode, does the dialogue flow well, and are the portal explanations too confusing? How was the stations diagram, the use of "green screen"? Are the traits of the characters showing well, and what about consistency? Format?
  15. Here's the fourth episode of Series 7, and personally, I think it's the biggest one so far! And A choice. One that could be dumb, one that could be smart. But what will it truly mean? Tell me what you think about the portals. Have the explanations been a bit too hard? How's the characters if the Real Deal Front? What did you think of the set designs and my use of Greenscreen. What do you think about the reactions to Jeb's Plan? Whose more reasonable? And don't worry, some more context is coming as to the station, Bonnie, and Jeb, alone... Without anyone, back in time. Also, anyone find any of the references? What about format?
  16. @KuzzterI see you have a green-moon, and I raise you a green-cube. In any case, the tip is really useful, I'm using it to the full potential in my next episode.
  17. Hyper edit. The problem is that with The Asteroid Sentinels is new ideas and crafts keep coming up, but physically in game it would take too long to get stuff while the ships being focused right now reach their destinations, the crafts being sent there. Or the problem is that it would just take too much IRL time, considering that my posting schedule could potentially be described as "Adams-esque", considering home many times I talk behind schedule. The station, while hyper edited up, is still fly able as smaller rocket pieces, with a "core", the four sections attached on the core, the escape pod, and that craft shown earlier.
  18. That bit with Fabien and Damien fighting each other with Sterline coming back to get Fabien has an uncanny similarity to Interstellar... Especially when Damien seems to have gone crazy...
  19. The KSP Crashing situation is mostly under control, at least for now, here's another teaser!
  20. So essentially right now the only way is to just go and edit the craft configs?
  21. @AzimechIs there a tutorial on safely switching from WW2Warships to Realships? Since right now HMS Hood won't load with all the parts missing.
  22. KSP Seems to keep crashing, so I may have to put the show off till 1.1 (I hope not).
