  1. Thank you! Probably my most detailed stock replica, and also, 100reps Really proud about the tank, I used the decoupler because that was the only part that fit the size for the stage.
  2. I've used them to make a gold foil ball for my Ariane 5G's 2nd stage.
  3. Ariane 5 G Replica Here's my All Stock Ariane 5G replica, which after a week of being with and without a MacbookPro, and having bugs, has finally been released! This features the use of skipper engines as the Vulcain, with a custom pipes on the side, as using a KR-2L is not only underpowered, but also in terms of size not as exact. The SRB's feature thrust curves using the clipped SRBs, which burnout one by one to simulate the slow tapering of SRBs. This replica also applies as a Ariane 5G+, but not exactly a Ariane 5ES (More SRB fuel/power, Bigger engine, slightly larger core.) The 2nd stage is equipped with round fuel tanks, built using a combo of RCS spheres and Round-8 tanks clipped to make a ball. The Interstage between it and the core is structural panels to avoid faring bugs. This replica features SYLDA, the 2 satellite adapter. It is a fairing, which allows for an accurate shape, but still confetti... The Satellites are inspired by the Eurostar 2000 bus and the GEOStar-2. Below is the launch sequence pictures. DOWNLOAD (KerbalX) Flight Trajectory (Direct GTO insertion, and not necessarily most efficient trajectory) -Take Off! -Reach 80 degrees at 1km -45 by around 10km. -Slowly turn, dump SRBs -Reach 20-30 degrees at about 30 Kilometers. This is where you are likely to stay at in pitch for most of the flight. -Dump farings, dump Cryogenic First stage. -Ignite 2nd stage and feel free to fly how you'd like, but keep going vertical, and reach a height of 2868km, and you are in GTO. -Once you jettison the spacecrafts, warp to apoapsis, and burn till you are in GEO (KEO?). The upper spacecraft has more thrust, but less Delta-V, while the bottom has more, but only 1/9th the thrust. Enjoy!
  4. MESSENGER space probe replica with the whole trajectory, and the whole mission story, which was hard to gather the pieces on. Spent almost a month making it fly. Edit: That album is really long, to actually get a good view of the spacecraft, skip to like, image 20. Took 2 weeks to build, a week to make the rocket fly, and another week flying it across the solar system... Havent really done too much in orbit construction however.
  5. Does this mod have any plans for tweakscale support? I love it, but I'd like to scale the sizes.
  6. Personally, since I built lots of replicas, for myself it it a challenge to try and build something that looks like the real thing, while keeping up with scale and weight. You can apply what you learn from replica building when you build craft you have thought up. My MESSENGER spacecraft replica, despite using several mods, still made me think about how to use the parts in a way they come together (A Dawn replica with a similar set of mods provided a base for my experience!). In short, replicas make me change perspective to try out something untried, making my ideas more creative. Makes me surprisingly picky as well...
  7. 7/10 Aha! Those builds are brilliant! I visit The Spacecraft Exchange a lot so your replicas are familiar to myself.
  8. Probably, the little lips out on the bottom of the BACC booster does screw up the width measurements. (Tweakscale and procederal parts make me happy when that happens )
  9. It's good practice before it gets shot off by River Song!
  10. Alright, here are some of the pics, hope they can be of help. http://i.imgur.com/9rNATbN.png http://i.imgur.com/HL3oFux.png http://i.imgur.com/4bsVKrk.png http://i.imgur.com/qFRn81J.png
  11. As another update, I found this only affects crafts with descriptions it seems. Huh, I deleted the description, bug stays, I think it always needs to be fresh?
  12. I ran the rocket flight again, clicked revert a couple times, and found null ref in the player.log, hopefully this will help. This is all stock this time. 13. KSP 1.0.0 Sandbox mode What happens: I edited my Ariane 5 and Atlas 5 a bit, but when I launch them, I cannot leave flight, and even after restarting the game (unlike similar bug), it fails to be fixed, unlike other bugs somewhat like this. I can click anywhere in the space center. I've noticed a few null references, but it seems each craft I edit becomes corrupted with this, making my saves unusable. It's multi-save affecting as well, same craft causes same issues. The Mac I use in KSP is low on storage, and my persistence files have been wiped a lot recently as well, though I've replaced them with quick save ones, and it seems to be fine. I can esc, I can't revert, go to space center or recover. I switched to a craft that seemed to be stuck in space, claiming it was landed, but obviously in space, similar to what happens in the fairings cause map view to break (documented in Enterelysium's career as well). This bug with the rockets started to happen after that incident. I'll try to get the ksp.log when I get back to ksp. Maybe the crafts as well. Mods I've got 2 over dated mods, KER and contract configuratior 1.0.2, Kerbaltek/Historic missions 1.0.0. These mods though seem to not be the cause of the bugs. I also have EVE, boulder Co, and Module manager and KAC MacBookPro, 2012, Yosemite.
  14. Here is my Replica of the Vega Rocket and Sentinel 2 spacecraft, which if all goes well, will launch on Jun 22nd. The Vega rocket is the lightweight rocket of Arianespace and ESA's workhorse, with 3 solid rocket stages and a small liquid 4th stage. Vega rockets can carry up to 2,500 kg to LEO. I've added the Sentinel 2 spacecraft, an Earth Observation spacecraft of ESA's Copernicus Program. It carries a Multi Spectral Instrument, with 13 spectral channels. Download This Replica clocks in at a lightweight 84 parts, and as a note for the 4th stage, i've set the thrust to 10 kilonewtons, but if you want the real thrust the actual AVUM stage has, quarter it. I've made it run off monoprop, as it has nice round tanks like the real Attitude and Vernier Upper Module. I've made the 3rd stage liquid fueled, because it had the nozzle shape like the real one, and for gameplay reasons, as it has around enough delta-V to reach suborbital, and one might want to shut down the engine before the apoapsis is too high. Thank you for orbiting by!
  15. Not much, have done block coding and such, but in general I don't really know programming languages.
  16. Here's my Ariane 5 G, still has some issues, but I've tried making a "thrust curve" where each of the clipped SRBs use up the fuel one at a time to simulate the tapering off of thrust. Here's my try at a Vulcan, turns out they are quite small in proportion to the rocket... SRB seperation Still some kinks to work out like this, where the 2nd stage is separating... rather sub optimally. Here's my Atlas 551, (hopefully someday with a New Horizons payload). Still some problems such as aerodynamically sensitive (getting ~3 degrees off prograde sometimes is easily enough for it to tumble). I've gotten most of the problems regarding asymmetrical SRBs dealt with, but quite wobbly.
  17. Pioneer Venus Orbiter Probably the most detailed replica I've ever made in stock.
  18. The Pioneer Venus Orbiter was launched in 1978 by an Atlas-Centaur to be America's first orbiter to Venus. It carried a slew of Radars, polarimeters, Magnetometers, and spectrometers to investigate Venus. It operated till 1992, and reentered the atmosphere. The spacecraft was based off the Hughes 507 spacecraft bus. Download
  19. The Atlas-Centaur rockets flew from 1962-2004, flying 197 times with only 13 failures (and 3 partial ones). They flew many prolific missions, including Mariner 9&10, Pioneer 10,11, and Pioneer Venus, SOHO, and the Surveyor Moon Landers. This rocket features ½ staging, where booster engines slip off the side of the rocket while the core continues the ascent. On top is the 2 engine Centaurs used in the Atlas-Centaur era. Built in 1.0. Download
  20. You bet! I re-uploaded the craft:) Turning the Booster rockets 90 degrees from East was enough to keep tail connectors safe, and I edited the bottom a little to help with stability.
  21. Is there a way to update craft files on KerbalX? I fixed the problems regarding the rocket.
  22. The Atlas-Centaur rockets flew from 1962 to 2004, flying 197 times, and launching many prolific missions, including Pioneer 10&11, Mariner 9&10, The Surveyor Landers, SOHO, among others. Press 1 to disable the side Booster engines. Download
