  1. Thanks man! Yep, moar struts... However because of the horrible connection strength of Mk3 parts, having to add enough struts to hold it together would almost double the part count... If it's part of the game, it's not cheating! That's what I say at least. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  2. Huh, ok then... It worked for me that way. I'll have to double check it at sometime Happy Flying YargJay9991
  3. Instead of the hangar extension mod, just use the offset tool and shift-click the craft to select the entire thing. Then just use it normally, you can offset the whole (almost) infinitely I think. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  4. I think what I'm working on will blow your mind... I've been working on this for about 4-5 months across many versions, with help from JetEngineStar on the wings (thanks man). It has 32 Goliath jet engines and weighs around 600t from memory. I think it is the largest flying machine ever built in KSP that uses wings and lift to carry it through the sky instead of rockets. It has just over 600 parts and carries 550 kerbals. Still working out the kinks, like landing.... For size comparison with the KSC: Unfortunately, it must have Un-breakable joints turned on, as it falls apart on the runway. Will release soon so let me know what you think! Happy Flying YargJay9991 (This post was copied and pasted from the latest spacecraft friday thread, just to save me time. :))

  6. Yipee! I'll watch this with interest... Happy Flying YargJay9991
  7. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS IS AWESOME!!! I just saw it about an hour ago and I loved it all... All the FX are amazing and anyone who hasn't seen it yet will love the classic action scenes as well as the more tender side of things that all Star Wars movies have. I won't reveal any spoilers ever, as they would probably ruin your life if I did (is you're a die-hard Star Wars fan that is). I also won't write a whole review, because that would take forever. Instead I'll just sum it up in single words: Awesome. Amazing. Epic. Intense. Confusing (in some parts). Mysterious. Force-y. Lightsabre-y. Umm.... Well you get the idea. Happy Flying YargJay9991 May the force be with you....
  8. Are there any modelers out there who might be interested in making more KSC style buildings. This would save the devs time, in the lengthy modelling process and may also persuade them to add it in, considering some of the hard bits are done. Of course they would have to tweak them to what they think fits. I am 115.65% on board with this idea. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  9. The idea is good, but there is already a mod for that, and I don't think it will be part of the game. The part count limit is not a strict part limit (except in career mode), but is more limited by how good your computer is. Mine for example, which is an i7 Quad-core with 16 GB RAM, can run a 600 part ship with only a little lag (say 15 FPS) where as a smaller, low end computer could only run a 50 part ship before getting extreme lagging. Regarding the code, I think they like to hide that, but I'm not sure. Ask some modders out there and they can tell you. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  10. Maybe instead of a 500 part count, make it 500 tons. That is more of a challenge. Hey, he's new! Cut him some slack. How do you know he hasn't been reading the forums? Most peoples first challenges are very basic, but they could be fun. Besides have you ever built a massive plane? Happy Flying YargJay9991
  11. Um, guys. Not having a simulator, is kind of the point of the game. You need to use your own knowledge, however basic or advanced it may be, to achieve these goals. The only other alternative to HyperEdit is not certain failure (ok, sometimes it is). The game is designed to be able to: visit planets, make orbit, build stations, build bases, fly planes and explore; all without using HyperEdit, or simulators. The idea is your knowledge grows as you experiment and go beyond your comfort zone. A simulator is a comfort zone... I think a simulator would detract from the original game and shouldn't be implemented. It's just not KSP. If you want it, mod it. There are plenty of people out there who are probably capable. Sorry to throw a wet blanket on the works, but I don't think this is a good idea for the stock KSP. Great idea for a mod though. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  12. Yeah, good idea! what do you think @MadRocketScientist? Wait until KSP 1.1 to implement featuring showcases?
  13. MRS and I have already been discussing a bit about the SCF featuring showcases. @selfish_meme Yep, that's right. It won't dig up anything that is really old. If we do implement it, the showcase would had to have received a decent amount of attention in the last week, as well as have a craft posted recently. Now, MRS said at one point, that he does try to limit craft features to ones posted in the week, but if he had to, he would feature older craft (not too old, mind you ;)). It's going to be a bit tricky, but if we figure out guidelines it may be possible. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  14. Thanks man! Glad you like it. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  15. The only problem with showcases, is having to look through every single showcase thread to see if a craft was recently posted, and if it was worthy of SCF. That's the only reason we don't include craft from there. People who do a SCF can feature from a showcase if they want to, but it's not a requirement. Since the RB went away, a lot of showcases appeared on the SCE, so MRS and I are (kind of ;)) figuring out a way to feature entire showcases. Hope this clears it up. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  16. It's got almost everything. But unfortunately, there is no kitchen sink. Trust me, I looked. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  17. More variation on rocket tanks, a texture revamp would be nice too. Dedicated VTOL Engines, burning more fuel for lots of thrust and over heating quickly.
  18. Just copy and paste one of the recent ones, and then change the words and pictures bit by bit.
  19. True, but we can have repeats maybe? At least 3 months before being elegible for another showcase. Maybe only feature showcases that have had recent achievements. A lot can happen after three months. We'd have to eventually compile a list of showcases currently in waiting so no one features them. Maintainers would have to make sure they write about why the showcase got featured. We'll see how it goes if we decide to give it a go. Anyone else wanna have a say? After all, this is a community thing! Happy Flying YargJay9991
  20. Yeah, they will be broken because of the forum migration, it broke existing forum thread links. For now you have to sift through the thread. Happy Flying YargJay9991
  21. Maybe if maintainers are required to highlight one showcase thread, as well as the individual craft from the week. It would have to have craft recently put in it that are worthy of the SCF, and the latest post on the thread (other than "bumps" of course), has to be during the week. Since there are more showcases nowadays on the SCE, I think we should showcase them in SCF as well! Happy Flying YargJay9991
