1. You just need to Copy and Paste your OP into a new thread in the SCE. But if it's the other posts in that thread you want, well, I'm not sure what to do there...
2.
Working on a heavy lifter for my save. http://i.imgur.com/6rDa5SY.png
What a funny angle to launch a rocket at... You must want to go straight to the mun... :P Hmm *Light Bulb* I have an idea for a challenge!! Looks great! YargJay9991
3.
The carrier doesn't even need to be functional. Just look like a carrier. The idea is to spawn it using Contract Configurator on the ocean waters some distance from KSC, and have a small airplane land on it. Stock parts only. Just needs to be able to float level. Part count under 300 would be ideal. Under 200 would be amazing. Under 100 and still looking good would be *gasp* perfect. Essentially a floating prop.
Ok, sounds cool. If I find time this weekend (and possibly the next ;)) I'll give it a go! :) Happy Flying YargJay9991
4. Are there any specific requirements such as part count, VTOL or Horizontal Landing and Takeoff (decides what size the ship needs to be), and does it need to move under it's own power etc? If I knew a few more things I'd be willing (life permitting) to give it a go. When do you need it by? Happy Flying YargJay9991 EDIT: Forget I said part count. I missed the low bit in the OP. :P
5. -1 Yay! We're more than half way to -100. (If you count zero as 50%)
6. Floor 1274: A completely empty floor 3 miles long and half a mile wide, the rest of the stairs are on the other side. However you do not know that the floor is 3 miles long and half a mile wide because there are no lights or windows therefore making it pitch black. So you keep walking wondering why on kerbin you entered the building...
7. Banned because of your excessive addiction to spaceplanes
8. DIED while performing atmospheric maneuvering activities.
9. Do you have any mods? Mods have done this to me in the past, but I'm on Windows so might not be the same thing. Happy Flying YargJay9991
10. -84 We're almost there! (-) Who would dare stop us now! Mwa Ha Ha!!!
11. Unfortunately yes. But if everyone agrees, we may bypass the 6 month rule just for pTrevTrevs U Boat. 3 agreements and it will happen. Sound fair? It really is something amazing, and it should go on the list right away IMO. Also zekes, I updated the rules a little Basic Rules for Nomination: 1. No Self-nomination, your craft must be nominated by someone else. 2. The nominated craft must have existed on the forums for at least six months. 3. Please be very thoughtful about your nominations, this thread is going to last a while. Please only nominate if you really think it's worth it. 4. One nomination per post. A user can only nominate one post at a time, and must wait a week before nominating another. 5. Please check the currently nominated list before nominating. 6. Nominator must provide link to the craft. 7. Stock craft only ??? (Up for discussion) Once a craft has been nominated, it will remain on the nomination list for a month. In order to become a part of the museum, the nominated craft must receive 10 votes. If these 10 votes are not reached within the month, the craft will be removed from the nominated list. This allows it to be re-nominated, but there must be a 2 week waiting period before re-nomination is allowed. Voting: 1. 1 vote per person per craft. Please don't vote twice on the one craft. 2. Max. 3 votes per post. 3. NO continuous posting. PLEASE NOTE: A nomination does not count as a vote. Hope you don't mind that I made these rules zekes Thanks again YargJay9991
12. Cool, but zekes has the OP. So I can't change anything on it. Anyone know how to get on to zekes? Yep I think we should start over. YargJay9991
13. Yeah, I think the time restriction would be handy. I'll compile a list of rules that we can review and discuss: Please read the following rules carefully before nominating or voting. Basic Rules for Nomination: 1. No Self-nomination, your craft must be nominated by someone else. 2. The nominated craft must have existed on the forums for at least six months. 3. Please be very thoughtful about your nominations, this thread is going to last a while. Please only nominate if you really think it's worth it. 4. One nomination per post. Max. 3 votes per post. 3. NO continuous posting. PLEASE NOTE:A nomination does not count as a vote. How do these sound? Please let me know if you think anything needs changing. 14. I don't think so, here's the original idea by myself and the inspiration of this thread. Obviously, a few things are different, in that the general public votes on which craft make it in. However is doesn't say anywhere, that the craft can't work, in order for it to make it into the museum. The craft that should be in are the ones that used innovative engineering techniques that no one had ever thought of, and used them to create really amazing craft. Also I know it says "old relics" but that doesn't really matter does it? KSP Isn't really that old anyway. Hope this makes sense. YargJay9991
15. Ok then, I'll nominate your shuttle zekes. Keep the same number of votes. 6 I think it was. (this is getting quite political. ) Maybe as a rule now, no self nominating would work best.
16. Hey zekes, looks like it's going well. What do we think about self nominating? There seems to be confusion about whether or not you can self-nominate. What do you think? EDIT: Also, everybody please keep in mind when nominating craft, that this is a showcase of craft that have had a groundbreaking effect on the Kerbal engineering world. Just "cool" craft that use standard techniques don't really belong here IMO. Things like azimech turboprop inventions kicked-off quite a trend among daring KSP engineers. EDIT 2: zekes, maybe you should add links to the nominated craft, so newer people who don't know what they are by name, can look at them Happy Flying YargJay9991
17. Ok, this makes sense. I'll help keep track as well to help avoid confusion. Thanks to everyone for nominating and voting. I believe this is going to become a very important thread. Also I'll vote for Life size shuttle, Azi's chopper, and bubbadevlin's stock walker. Happy Flying YargJay9991
18. Thanks zekes for doing this. It all looks great. I think each nominated craft must receive 10 votes in order to become a legend. What do you think? Should we make the vote a poll? Whenever a craft receives 10 votes, we take it down. It can be up on the poll for a month, and if it doesn't reach the 10 votes, we take it down until it gets renominated. Once it gets 10 votes it officially goes on display as a Legendary craft. We don't need a poll, but I think the voting criteria would work anyway. Any thoughts anyone? Let me know if you need help with any admin. I'm not too shabby with Photoshop Thanks again zekes. YargJay9991
19. Yeah, I think the SCE is the best place. Put up a few suggestions for the name, and tell everyone to suggest other names. We'll put that in a poll later. Thanks zekes for your help with my idea. YargJay9991
20. I probs don't have enough time. Maybe we start a "Startup Discussion Thread" for it to see what people think. If you started it zekes, it would get more views. On it, people can nominate displays that have had a ground-breaking effect on KSP Designs. If we dig deep into the history of the forum that would be cool. I think we need a team of selectors for the displays. We can put an ad or something up, with a few requirements like: 1. Must have a rep of at least 150 maybe? (So I can join ) 2. Been on the forums for at least 6 months. 3. We add a poll to the thread, and anyone who meets the above criteria gets voted on. The top three get added to the list. Maybe a new "board selection" every month or two? Anything else we should add? Maybe for the first board, we have myself, you zekes and inigma (if your interested) since we have all been discussing it. A selection commitee of a max 10 I think would be fine. YargJay9991 Back to school.... EDIT: What should we call our "museum". The Kerbal Museum of Technological history?
21. True, but I mean a dedicated museum of incredible and groundbreaking achievements done in KSP. Much like a museum, it would only display really significant things, like the shuttle, and not everyday "groundbreaks". For example, the Sydney Opera House is an important part of architectural history, but your house really isn't. The SOH would be in a museum, but not your house (Unless of course it is quite a special house;)). Some designs I can think of that I think would fit would be, obviously this shuttle, Azimech's stock turboprops, and your STS series inigma. If you know of any others.... Happy Flying YargJay9991
22. Why don't we start a thread for "old relics". A bit like a KSP Museum. A selected (possibly voted in) team of specialists would decide what significant craft might make it into the museum, and then compile them into one thread for everyone to enjoy and remember. What do you think zekes? Would you be interested? EDIT: It doesn't have to just be craft either, it could be any feat in KSP that is worth remembering. Happy Flying YargJay9991
