My version "LE" (named "Like Elon") 2 stages rocket . All stages separatron-powered return... kerbal-like, and...... some kind of lift for kerbals :)))

Hi, i build this "Kama" (named as river in Russia) PSTO shuttle (parallel stage to orbit = all engines ignites and used all time) for anoter challenge in this forum, but now... (...why not get also official badge here ? ) . Plus this is not are common shuttle disign... so why not post it here? And it fly good in RSS+realism overhaul and not common solve of overheating problem and hypersonic flight stability and maneuverability...

Try to build something like this in RSS+RO , but procedural fuel tanks still not updated for 1.22 so i cant create a good 1st stage recovery system... but for now it just Realism Overhaul PSTO and good one hypersonic glider, what well change descent precision tragectory from mach 12 to mach 5 . It parts resist temperature only max 2500 (except 4 heatshields, 2 on bow, 2 on landing gear in tail). But descent is ok .

it's simple challenge IF SSTO can drop it cargo (spaceship) to LKO /or split apart . Then go to Mun/Minmus and come back to Kerbin , dock and land.
Or SSTO-ship must be in ONE piece?

Eve spaceships - always are behemoths, and if it reusable - it is modded behemoths . For Dune, Laythe you can make a simple nuclear propulsion winged SSTO / or SSTO with winged lander (tons of contructions in this forum) . So there is not 1 good AND simple construction for different atmospheres.
ps: and if you have are wings and mining module - you don't need reusable heatshield at all . 3200 for empty heatshield is normal temperature even for Eve gliding descent.
my one-year old Eve spaceplane (not reusable, but also not behemoth, atmosphere aerobraking and gliding, not need ablator in descent and about yor asking - you can use this idea for wing protection in your ships for Eve descent):

Just wanna say what i LOVE this mod!
Today i go to space with "hyperblast" scramjet and monopropelant only. Veeeerrrry interesting to build scramjet vessels!!!!
Tooo bad stock parts not give us a chanse for scramjet

My prototype name it Long-Arm-ed . orbiting at 16.5 k, then fire gun, also make some kind of aim .... build are normal spaceship to deliver it to Moho orbit later . (hit from 16.5k orbit inner walls of Mohole). Pure stock

I create psto (parallel stage to orbit) "Kama-Ls" shuttle for other challenge, but now i thought.. why not get an extra badges here ..so its my flight ...

Flight mod used for this mission: Kerbal Engineer Redux, NavHud, KerbinSide (for map navigation after reenty)... other mods i really not use it

of course all engines (and even juno strats at same time then i hit "space" button :)) ) , only one engine is shut down - sputnik payload. (i record video now)
ps: and concept of return back has it prototype - maybe you know about Baikal boosters for our Angara rocket ... it is the sort of same

this my "Kama-LS" PSTO system. It have 2 cheap boosters, 2 cheap (juno) atm.engine and 1 cheap rocket engine (trust limiter is half),
It can deliver 2-3 tonn payload (comm sputnik) to LKO.
Boosters return system with 2 junos (and with its big wing are good glide)
Main ship land with it wings to runway after orbit (but as always i get tooo much delta for orbital flight... but... as i say before it depends of payload)
Deep night right now in my country, so I make video for this ship only tomorrow or at weekend... so sorry for this and good night.
booster looks like cruise missile. not a problem to do this in RL
construction of main ship is simple, but I made it nose with heatshield for more realism
the only thing is not good - the dimension between booster can be mach more , or it can be burned with main engine..(in real life). But I think I make it also in RSS for real severe test, but later (still not lose hope for FAR update for 1.2.2)

My "2 Strange" early and low-sci parts Mun stock mission, 7panter engine. This is a 10tonn of payload SSTO-freighter. Sorry i lost pics somethere... so today - only video. The Mun-ship is also interesting - i put this ship inside 2x*mk2 cargobays (without clipping parts inside each other).
