The launch of a Long March 3B carrying BeiDou-3 M7 and M8 on January 11th was a success. An alert was, as usual, issued 48 hours before the launch to the residents living on the flight path to prevent any victim due to the fall of the YF-25 boosters. However, some villagers were able to attend the event, and one of them was able to film the fall of one of the boosters as well as its impact and detonation, forming a large toxic cloud. Original source: https://weibo.com/tv/v/FDZAzteEQ?fid=1034:1f7e0a18988adfe958f3b4e2ce04b641 The video also is available to look at on Spaceflight101: http://spaceflight101.com/chinese-villagers-capture-falling-long-march-rocket-booster-on-video/ Unfortunately, these villagers were not warned of the danger of the hypergolic propellants residues.

So nice. I don't know why, but strangely, I just love the Belugas and the Guppys which preceded them, but my favorite of all will stay the CL-44 based Skymonster. They even haunt my coffee... Plus, the choice of the Trent 700 will bring a new and nice buzzy melody.

I just realized a kid's dream, without joking. Let me introduces the... Exocet! The flying-fish which cannot land on the sea. The story of this aircraft is a bit strange, and long, as I drew it the first time at 8. Of course some things had to be changed, like the wings profile, another fuel tank to lengthen the fuselage, and the wing tanks, but otherwise it is the representation of the drawing. What I wanted to draw at the time was an aircraft which would not be depend from controlled terrain and good runways, it should have been able to land anywhere at anytime, for this reason the tailplanes were acting nearly like a true wing (CoL and CoG were not in my minds), the aircraft must had its engines on the main wings, and the landing gear was high enough to evade the rocks projections. And the surprise? It works! Even better than the other biz-jets-like I made... Taking-off after approx 300 m of roll. Rotate at 49 m/s. The destination, once again was a Pole, but the North one this time. About 50 minutes of cruise flight at an altitude of 11 km and at a speed of around 954 km/h. Da Jeb' and Harmon enjoying an eternal sunset. For sure it changes from the traditional Minmus views that they have normally... but they already had enough and were hungry as they forgot to grab any found before departing. They knew something was missing... Hurry man! We gonna be late for diner now! Finally they could see the abandoned airfield after another hour of flight and a lot of stomach rumbles. Alas, runway 27 was closed at the time and a direct approach impossible! Speedbrakes extended for an imperative descent. Exo-1, the ground emergency services were alerted of the situation and are one the way with food! Despite a slow, soft, and good touch down, Harmon soon became desperate to see that no flashing beacons were waiting for them, and still less the promised food! Anyway, they were entitled to a second official photograph, as required.

Ok it's a tortoise, but still.

He was waiting for you...

Not afraid. The kid is taking care of it.

I love to take the coms links screenshot too. Some of my actual Kerbin's network: The Dwarf constellation and its 16 members. Followed by the 8 members of the 3 tons Jupiter I klan. The constellation needed only one launcher, but hundreds of Kerbals days to position it correctly. I started to make another "row" along the equator, with even more powerful relays, but it is long... and I'm so lazy.

Awesome package here! I don't know what I would give to find some airsoft passionate to play again. Alas, around where I'm living right now there is only fat guys with real fire weapons... nobody else. I only have one picture (from 2013) of this cool era. Yep, training on a chair. I later modified the SVD in a Chechen-like style.

Took about three weeks ago at LFPG: I know it seems like it's a fake one. We took it a couple a minutes after having landed, as we stopped at the inner runway holding mark I waited with the camera for an aircraft to appear, and this China Southern A332 suddenly showed up, too fast for the camera to focus precisely on it.

After more than a month without playing, it was time to do at least a little something of the evening. Since I sent my first probe to Jool some months ago it became my favorite destination, and now it is mandatory to start to explore its satellites, starting by Laythe for the atmospheric helps. The launcher is some kind of an hideous Titan IV-wannabe... But enjoying a good TWR with its six Kickbacks and dual Vectors. Appreciating the beauty of the rising starting while climbing. After approx 01 minutes and 20 seconds it was time to get rid of the S.R.B. Fairing separation. And a succeeded orbit insertion. With a bit more than 2 km/s of impulsion available, the second stage should be able to kick the whole craft to Jool, and maybe to help a bit to align with Laythe. Anyway, the lander benefit of nearly the same amount, while the probe enjoy 6 km/s. It should be enough to complete the mission.

10 days of break gave me the opportunity to discover Florida a bit more (still I didn't go to Pensacola), and to go to different memorials and static displays. It was a great occasion to see some aircraft by myself for the first time, here are some: The B-52D (56-0687) resting at KMCO: The RA-5C standing at KSFB: I don't know why, but this [picture gave me the impression to see it flying low of the Vietnam moist forest. The F-15A of DeBary Memorial Park: The pylon is horrible, alas. An F-16A also is standing in Pinellas Park: And a beautiful and rare piece, the F-106A of Camp Blanding:

Yep, we can easily recognize the Progress D-27 propfan which is equipping the An-70s. The aircraft here is one of the LL variant used by the GFR Institute of Zhukovsky.
-
The MiG-21s!.. more seriously, I just love the second one, such a beautiful depiction of the RF-4C during Desert Shield, with the famous twin towers of Kuwait City.
-
Just coming back from CC for ZUMA. Well... If only I had a true camera to take nice pictures, but no, it's a camcorder. Just like with the other post the remaining screenshots are in the spoiler to not invade the page.
-
So lucky, I didn't know what I would give to have a close look of the An-225 at least one time.
-
Zenit-3SL by far. Followed by Ariane 44L and Pegasus-XL.

I will never forget, it was on July 14, 2000 at the Guipavas airport in Brest. The Concorde F-BTSC came here for the national day and my uncle, my father and I stayed at the fence for many hours, waiting for her to take-off. She left in a beautiful cracking noise with her afterburners on, leaving some yellow orange fumes and a high smell of unburned kerosene behind her. Such a beautiful and elegant bird. Then eleven days later she crashed after taking-off from LFRB... It really marked me, like a day where an unique symbol of aviation history was broken.

Absolutely wonderful, thank you so much. If only I had discovered it before. -
Thanks Delay! If you are interested here are some from the launch of EchoStar 105-SES 11 in October (took further from approx 22 km/14 miles South of the LC-39A ). Fishing while looking at a launch. And Dragon CRS-12 Took with a phone... If only I had what that guy got!
-
I shared this picture took yesterday in the Lounge some hours ago, but I think it could have been fun to show it here too. Two falcons at the same time for the price on one!.. or the Peregrine Falcon 9?
-
Some pictures from yesterday's Dragon CRS-13 launch, took from the Samuel C. Philips Parkway (about from 16 km/10 miles the SLC-40 and 10 km/6 miles from the landing zone): (Sorry for the really bad angle, all these pictures actually are screenshots from my video.) As they are a bit heavy it's probably better to place all the others in a spoiler.
