Hi guys, So I think I've been away from this game for nearly 3+ years, and I'm about to reinstall it tonight. I was wondering if there are any mods the community could recommend, because I know several of the ones I used to utilize have now basically become features in the game. My primary focus is on QoL, parts, base building, and weapon mods. Also, should I purchase the DLCs? Do they add a unique enough experience? EDIT: What tools are people using to install the mods these days? Back then we just copy pasted them into the folder.

I'm having a problem with the VTOL switching engines. When I toggle them from regular engines, to VTOL, they loop. They keep going down, and back straight, and back down ... ad nauseam. They work fine in jet mode, but as soon as I toggle them to point down, they initiate that loop. Anyone else run into this? -
I have BDAC (BD Armory Continued) installed. I'm trying to figure out if that's the cause, since I had weapons active when it happened, I'm trying to test it with the regular solar panels right now. Hopefully it'll turn out to be something silly, because those solar panels are gorgeous to say the least. EDIT: Full installed mods list:

If this thing will work with the Hangar, or Kerbal Konstructs mods, I think I'll have to start a right, and proper imperial fleet. With this, as the flagship. Also, how reliable are all the engines right now for 1.2.1? I know I'm supposed to wait for the update, but they look so cool, I want to use them immediately, XD. -
Forgive me for the question, I'm a noob here. Do I need the older version in order for these "patches" files to work, or are these latest files all I need to install and run the mod?

I'll have to look into this family of mods, to get the bases, since my 3DS skills are almost zero. Now, you mentioned the bug in the editor, would that have an impact on me if I DON'T want to model my own structures/assets? -

Hold up, so if I'm reading this correctly. This mod can help me build bases on other planets, and launch my stuff from there? Plus, it's up to date for 1.2.1!? Why have I not heard of this mod before? -

I've run into a problem, and I would like to know if others have experienced it. The solar panels seem to be fine with clipping through each other. However, sometimes, when I switch to a craft that has them equipped, it'll violently jerk, and then both the panels, and all RCS nodes will just break off. I'm hoping to find a work around, because seeing those panels deploy on my orbital weapons platforms almost brings a tear to my eye, and I don't want to resort to the vanilla ones.

Might want to check your Steam key bindings, mate. For me, F12 still works (which I am now changing, because it's causing some problems for me, since KSP uses F12 for actual options)

This mod is the last part I need to start building my orbital bombardment stations. I can't wait to see the new version. After seeing so many mods fall into the outdated bin, I was worried this one would follow suit. Thank you for keeping such a fantastic mod working. -
