  1. You could ship it to India if you so desired, but I can't find anything comparable on amazon india so i dont know where he has found this laptop. Further, I will say this. A desktop will perform, in terms of power, far better than any laptop for the same price. For $900, you are looking at 6th gen i7 quad core, and a GTX 950. For $800 in India you could still get a 6th gen i5 quad core and GTX 950.
  2. I'm sorry. Better as in faster, and good iGPU is my definition. This is also quad core i5 though, turboing faster, and with a good GPU for just about $20 from his pricing. Here you are. GTX 960M i5-6300HQ 2.3 GHz Quad-Core (6M Cache, Turbo up to 3.2 GHz) 1080p screen That is 6th gen. and clockspeed between haswell and skylake is comparable with about a 15% addition(4790k vs 6700k performance difference).
  3. Yes I can. He has a dual core i5, because no quad core i5 laptop has those clockspeed. The quadcore i7 will always have a higher clockspeed, and more cores.
  4. No, get a 4th gens quad core i7 if you can. It will be far better.
  5. Don't think you can open that cargo bay. I'm saying this before you get the persist. We can discuss it here.

I would suggest surrender by the way. I don't want to have to kill Jebediah Kerman, and we both understand how easily my main missiles can easily destroy NCPEs, when they one shot the AAMC.

I'm sorry, but im kinda not sure i want to surrender. At least, not until the end of this turn. I just really want to see if the lazarus' front half is still effective (both now and in future remakes of the craft). It's also a cooler story if jeb "holds out until the end against insurmountable odds".

Also, you'll only kill jeb if you hit the 1m^3 cockpit he's in, and he respawns anyway. Though If you wish, i can evacuate him from the ship at the end of my turn so there's no risk to him.

I would recommend moving him away from the ship on your move. Jeb's bravery is admirable but I am afraid that the missile is designed to split apart. It is rather likely to fragment and easily hit the rest of the ship with a main missile. A secondary missile will likely hit the same way that EEEEEE was, and kill.

  6. There was a stress fracture. The vibration caused by the hit severed the core from the body. You need better armor layering, but then you need to build effective impenetrable armor. I am over penetrating your armor at any longer range.
  7. A kill via rule 5 saying no weapons are available due to none being attached to the core, and no propulsion being on the second part of the ship. No weapons, no engines, full kill via rule 4.
  8. Interesting: those wings ate quite a few hits. Bravo to QSS Courage.
  9. I have a stealth fighter in the works right now. Perhaps a duel could be arranged?
  10. @quasarrgames What exactly is going on with your computer? Perhaps I can help.
  11. Also, do you like the EVE and Scatterer that I use for images? That may have caused Vall's lag, but it shouldn't have. I'll try a test install in future.
  12. Those were 2 of my small missiles. I believe that I clearly stated why I felt that my shot was a kill, citing rule 4 and 5. Also, its fine with your computer. I can wait. In the mean time, perhaps @Spartwo could clear this up? I removed the root part from the ship, the core so to speak. If the core and main body are synonymous, then both 4 and 5 are valid. I am seriously sure that's a kill, but the confusion is because the core had no surrounding armor. If it had some armor, then the core would have been destroyed by a penetrating hit. Rule 5 hurts me too, and sort of means that my dual spine ships don't work at all because if split, they can't operate alone. I love the centurion 4 because after it's torn in half, it can stay combat capable, though. The core will stick to 1 side of the ship or the other, even if the vessel is split down the middle.
  13. Well okay then. I think there is an argument for it, in that a PSU upgrade is unnescessary whenever I want the... GTX 1280 that uses 300W instead of my 970 that uses 140W. I'm covered then, because those 160W are in my budget. Especially when I want an i7-9770K, which means I'm pushing my limits, but am inside of them. With a 430W PSU, that isn't an option.
  14. 600 watts was an example. It also nicely scales to 300 watts with a 500 watt PSU.
  15. Yes, but fans will be spinning at that load. PSU fans are generally loud, so he would want a PSU with fans that spin up at 350W or so. Tom's Hardware has comprehensive graphs in their individual PSU reviews about this. It's a rather nice laptop with a greater than 1440p screen, and a non-mushy rather tactile laptop keyboard.
  16. The benefits of SSDs: when not gaming, my system is shut down. When I want to game, I can 10 seconds later. So, my system is always under gaming loads. I have a laptop for other purposes.
  17. Oh no, I meant percentage of load, not efficiency. I use 80+ Gold, which is 87%. I meant that if you use 600 watts, you should get a 1000W PSU. PSUs are more efficient in that 40 to 80% of max load range.
  18. It allows upgradeability, and many PSUs are most efficient between 40% and 80%. So, there's your average. With upgrades, maybe you will see that 80%.
  19. And I would say that you aren't wrong, if you want silence. Look for PSUs with fans that don't turn on until about 300 watts of use. You may even need some 1000W PSUs. But if you want efficiency, go for predicted power usage being 60% of the PSU maximum.
  20. No it wasn't on, or the missile would have been switched out of.
  21. Its perfectly fine. I'm still waiting for quasarrgames to download mine.
