    You mean RD-191? Yes, it wasn’t. But Energomash needs work, right? So, here’s a good reason for new RD-19X. Make it RTLS then. Proton is old and not quite environment-friendly. And it’s retired, no? So Angara will have to take over at some point in the 2020s. Aaand there’s that Russian SLS Yenisei that needs an upper stage from Angara. This rocket is unavoidable.

    @sslaptnhablhat wish you well. I’ve never had a depression, but I know people who did. One of them got through it with medicine, and the other started drawing manga, got really obsessed with it, began meeting with other artists, even traveled to Japan, etc. She seems quite happy now. Sorry, I don’t know much about the condition, but there are ways out.

    Virgin has their own astronauts-pilots, can't see why SpaceX won't be able to have their own. They'll have to anyway, for that Starship mission, Moonshot i think?

    I think space tourism is still on the table for SpaceX. Great way to make some quick cash before Starship comes. Its max capacity is 7, so 1 pilot and 6 tourists is doable. Let's say 1 full day in LEO without docking. Sounds fun.

And that Russian tweet is weird, as if it was written by someone very drunk. “We welcome the development of cooperation and hope that the cooperation will develop”. Vodka much? Just thought - Oleg Kononenko (ISS commander) didn’t mention SpaceX in his speech too, only NASA. Interesting. Do they hate Elon that much?

    Good, they understand. Lukashevich isn't wrong. Years pass, more and more technology and experience of Soviet era is being lost. New rockets and spacecraft are constantly postponed and over-budget as corruption and incompetence increases. At the same time, usual boasts from administration that our engines are the best, that THEY have to fly to space on our rockets, that booster landing is cheap publicity stunt. Pathetic to the extreme.
