You should make a tutorial for making bearings, y'know. -

UKSA Archives - My RSS playthrough.
Sharkman Briton replied to Sharkman Briton's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
In preparation of UKSA's planned advancement in manned orbital missions, E.X.H.U.M. (EXperimental Habitation Utilities Module) has been created, these pictures are of the testing on the launch pad. Everything worked fine, and as a bonus, EXHUS's communication applicance (as it's designed to work unmanned as well.) picked up the last signals emanated from SPECTRESat-1B, as it plunged into Earths atmosphere, at approximately 30km from the ground, communications with SPECTRESat-1B were lost. EXHUS is intended to work as a sort of space station base of operations for manned orbital flights, providing comfortable living for four Kerbals, a steady supply of power from it's Megalador solar arrays, and compact to launch as it's habitation module is inflatable. Once EXHUS is launched, it's main crew of ONE undecided Kerbal will be sent up to dock and transfer, after that it will have room for three 'visitors' where they can work on experiments via a science package that will be attatched to the spacecraft, not only will the main crew take care of the station but will also take regular tests on himself (e.g blood pressure, blood samples.) to find out what extended time in space can affect Kerbals. Alot will be learned from this mission, although the EXHUS is not fully completed and a launch vehicle hasn't even been considered, but the UKSA promises that the plan WILL get into space. -
Hi, I'm working on the Robo-Kerbs mod with some other people, and I've made a part for it, but when I spawn it, it makes the camera shake and has a velocity of 140-something m/s, heres the .cfg of it. .cfg contents (pastebin) Thanks for any help.

[WIP] Robo-Kerbals (Help Wanted)

Probes, of course, whether it be science probes to just stick in orbit or part of an interplanetary probe, ATM it's suffering a weird bug. -
[WIP] Robo-Kerbals (Help Wanted)
Sharkman Briton replied to Aelixander's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Welcome aboard Cliftomm, now that we have a solid team worked out, I can start working on the simple parts for it. I want to also expand on unmanned technology and things that could be used with Robo-Kerbs, I think I'll make a probe thing. - - - Updated - - - Update -------- I am working on a new part, the PB-1 Probe Body, designed for probes close enough to Kerbol to get solar power, it has built-in solar panels, a low-gain antennae, slightly better reaction wheels than other Probe Cores, higher battery capacity and it's own science experiment, so far things have gone swimmingly, for now it uses the Probodobodyne OCTO model, in the future I need someone to model and animate this thing with it's low-gain antennae (if we decide to have it deployable and not static.) and the static solar panels surrounding the body. Thanks for reading, all! -
Saturn Shuttle Mission Archive [SSM-17]
Sharkman Briton replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Thanks, and glad to hear Skysat will be easy breezy, about the Hyperion... Hyperion, the only Moho-Class Space Shuttle (as of now) has her upsides and downsides, on the upside she has over 4km/s (empty, has yet to be fitted with a theoretical payload.) along with good vacuum DV, on the downside, she only has one small MK3 cargo bay of cargo capacity and it pretty heavy, but the Hyperion will be perfect for launching (most) small payloads that fit in it's bay, the launcher will be designed to be able to lift this thing into orbit without use of the Shuttle's own fuel. -
Saturn Shuttle Mission Archive [SSM-17]
Sharkman Briton replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
No problem! --------------- SAP-C is waiting for their new Moho-Class Shuttle "Hyperion" to finish, which may take a while as it is in very early development, in the meantime, SAP wants to offer the Saturn Shuttle Project a rather bare-bones contract, but with a special purpose: Introducing.... Skysat 1! Skysat 1 is designed to be launched into a polar orbit (try and get 90 degrees!) where it can secretly pick up signals from aircraft, check which planes they come from and if they are military or of enemy origin, relay the signals back to mission control, where they can monitor the signals and if needed deploy fighters. Skysat 1 thus needs an orbit where it can easily observe these signals, we've figured out the perfect orbit for this: 280km, too low and the Skysat 1 could be detectable, too high and Skysat can't pick up strong enough signals, so SAP needs this done, and fast, as tensions are rising in the southern hemisphere between SAP's polar defense base and the nearby Kingu tribe, who has been stealing and using technology from anyone who comes near for over eighty years, so it needs to be stopped. download Skysat-1 -
Love it! Maybe you should make a bigger helicopter - even a chopper!

Love the shuttle missions! I may or may not give the Saturn Shuttle a mission soon, SAP-C would love to help with the funding of this program. -

Kenlie, the Clo-I mean (twin?) Kerbelles and that guy who was on a Munbase for three years would be a good combo for a mission, the Kerbelles are very unique, Kenlie is, well, Kenlie and the Munbase guy kind of reminds me of Dilsby, he could be a great commander!

Theory: Wingless aircraft.
Sharkman Briton replied to Sharkman Briton's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
When I said elevons I meant to be put on the side of the fuselage to give control, thanks for the input. -
I've been thinking about the MK2 fuselage parts, and how they have a lift rating, and I thought to myself, (what a wonderful world~) would it be possible to make an aircraft without any wings, only MK2 parts? They DO have a lift rating, so just add elevons and you're golden! So I'd like to see if anyone can make a wingless aircraft, as long as it has no main wings it's fine, so tail fins and elevons are fine, as long as the Elevons aren't the main wings themselves.

Made a Sopwith Camel, haven't done a test flight yet. I'm very proud of it

Sopwith Camel, Britains most famous aircraft! The reason it has twin Brownings instead of twin Vickers is because the Vickers in BDA are way too big for the aircraft, it's WIP in the fact that I haven't flown it yet. My proudest part of it, though, is the tail, where it looks like the Camel's tail exactly! The structure of it, not the wings. -
Kenlie should be on the Jool mission, he deserves it, unless the Dres mission is more exciting, you could call it Dres: Aster among many! Geddit? Aster? A star? Asteroid? Nevermind. - - - Updated - - - It's like the terminator, T-800 disguises as the guys foster parents and kills them. "ya foster kerbals are dead."

Okay, I've made an experimental aircraft (not a replica.) - - - Updated - - - The UKSA's latest mission to create a Sub-orbital rocket plane have turned... Disappointing results. The space program hired Madphie Kerman, a daring test pilot for experimental aircraft to test their XA-2, which used 2 SRB's to (theoretically) put it on a trajectory to bring it out of the atmosphere, stability issues caused problems though, and ultimately, Madphie survived her 88th (should-be fatal) launch failure with nothing but a maniacal look on her face. Sorry, no pics because my stupid laptop didn't seem to notice I was pressing a button to take a screen, but the plane basically looked like a normal plane with the Taerobee cockpit and MOAR BOOSTERS -
