Don't even know what War Thunder is. Looks like a typical WW2 plane... -
Now, gonna try not to rant on but here goes... I hate it when people get all, for lack of a better word, butthurt... Sorry that was a bit too much, I can't think of a different word though. Yes, butthurt about getting one star, sure, it means someone doesn't like what you did, but that can be used in many senses, some people might not even understand what the stars mean, I used to think stars were good, one star was good, and five stars even better. I'm sure other people will make the same mistake, though back then I didn't know how to rate a thread. Now, a few people are saying there might be some troll going around throwing about single stars, but does it really matter that much? That person could just be misled, as I've explained, and even if he IS some troll doing it to annoy people, they're probably getting a kick and doing it because people complain so much about the fact that someone gave them one star. IMO there are two resolutions to this problem, either A: People stop complaining and ignore their rating, or B: Overhaul the star rating to the method I mentioned above; five stars are good, one star is good as well. Because it seems as though some people (not saying they are doing this) are complaining about getting one star so people will shower them with high star ratings, I've seen a thread with one star that rocketed up to four or five stars after the maker of the thread complained and all that about the fact that he had one star. To quote one user whose name I will not state... "Saw someone rated this one star... Jealous, huh?" or something like that.... In a nutshell, I want two things: For the mods to do something about the hard feelings emitted by the star rating, and for the users themselves to stop being so butthurt about star ratings. Who says it WAS a troll, anyway? No hard feelings to anyone who might think this is directed towards them, I know myself that it's directed to a multitude of people, the mods, the people who complain, the people who may be rating one star to troll, and the general public of the forum to ask them not to do what the complainers and the bad raters are doing.

Players usually consider Duna or Laythe to be a prime location for Kerbal Kolonization, the attraction of Laythe being it's oxygen atmosphere and liquid water oceans that cover a vast majority of the planet, and the attraction of Duna being it's close proximity to Kerbin, and it's possible water ice in the planets poles. But what people don't consider is Tylo, though it may be a barren, dead, moon thats hard to get on and off of, Tylo has a high gravity which means a Kerbal could live there for a rather long time without a centrifuge and be able to return to Kerbin or be exposed to gravity similar to that of Kerbin's without many ill effects. Tylosian gravity of 0.8 g's. Kerbin, of course, has a gravity of 1 g. While Laythe also has 0.8 g's and Duna has just 0.3 g's. Now, as noted above, Laythe and Tylo both have the same gravity, so why go to Tylo instead of lush, comfortable Laythe? Good question. You see, the problem with Laythe is how little land there actually is, leaving little space for large-scale Laythean kolonization, so large farms, any huge resource-harvesting facilities or big cities, so maybe we're better off having Laythe as a place to collect water and oxygen to supplement our Tylosian surface kolonies? Exactly what I think, unless you can make boat cities, but that could end badly, because if something small like a match or a knife was dropped, that could burn a hole or pierce a hole in the balloon that is the most likely method of buoyancy and sink the whole kolony, killing most of not all of it's inhabitants, so floating Laythe cities are unsafe. Contrary to Laythe, Tylo is a huge world with no oceans, allowing for huge structures and cities, massive resource harvesting facilities and very importantly, large mines, as the lack of land on Laythe means that mining would quickly drain those scarce archipelago's of their money, or in other words, minerals. Now we bring Duna back into the competition, Duna has one thing that not Laythe nor Tylo exhibit; solar power. Yes, Duna is a lot closer to Kerbol than Tylo and Laythe, which or course, orbit Jool, a cold gas giant and one of the furthest planets in the Kerbol system, out around Jool solar power is miniscule, so it would be required to use fuel cells to transform those fuels made from the ore extracted into electricity to power the life support systems, or a more high risk high reward method; a nuclear reactor. Over on Duna we don't have to worry about our fuel cells failing, our mines having problems (e.g. landslides) or our nuclear power plants causing a nuclear fallout, not at all, we an rely rather well on good ol' solar power, a simple, reliable and effective way of power generation, so we don't have to worry about our massive metropolis with millions of inhabitants turning into an atomic wasteland and killing everyone. In conclusion, the best and most efficient celestial body to Kolonize would probably be Tylo, supplemented by a small oxygen and water harvesting operation on Laythe. Duna might be another option for closer promiximity to Kerbin and solar power but generally undesirable because of harsh conditions, dust storms, low gravity (requiring huge, expensive and hard to get centrifuges) but a cheaper and safer option. But all in all, I think the Tylo + Laythe resource harvesting duo is the most effective, and out there, you can set up a military base on the moon known as [REDACTED] to make sure the Kraken stays asleep!

What I wanna know is how the heck he even fit 800 parts in that ship.
-
Wow, Zamo, that is the coolest ship I think i've seen... I've never actually seen an 8 hull corner layout before, so I guess it's not very overrated. What planet pack adds that "colony planet"? - - - Updated - - - lol that thing has over 800 parts, how the hell did you get two in one place?
-
Strange... No offense but Zekes would've (D)rek'd you anyway, doesn't matter what skills he has his ships are OP XD

I'll probably get ANNO 2205 for X-mas, never even heard of ANNO before, can someone give me some info on it? (I couldn't find much on google.) Is it an MMO? Is there the whole "strategic troop war management" in it? Is there battles in it? How difficult is it? What is ANNO? Thanks.

Damnit Alpha, thought my Boar was gonna be in the series, you just stole my thunder Nvm though, I don't really have anything useful other than my beloved Boar, but the Raven may fare well in battle. SAPC is love, SAPC is life. Salute to the SAP!

I'd like to have an option to have AI vs AI, would be fun to watch, and a lazy idiot like me would love it

First of all, it's spelt 'Minmus' not 'Minimus' Now thats out of the way, heres my challenge. There are arches scattered around the Mun as little easter eggs, my challenge for you is to find one, and plant a flag ontop of it. Then fly a rocket under it like a plane. Good luck!

rip... - - - Updated - - - Welcome back, Zamovinar!

Any progress? -
So I decided to make flags for Kerbal Kountries based upon pds314's border map. I am using a flag making tool. Link I will NOT do a Ussari flag, as CatastrophicFailure already has an awesome one, and you can check it out on their Whispers of the Kraken writing piece! So yes, I decided to do all that and these are the results to far. ^Andacania ^ Dustland ^Autocratic People's Monarchy of Southwestern Southwest Cerima ^Gerin ^ Nusad What they mean: The gear on Andacania's flag represents the nation's famed clockwork and advanced technology, the yellow represents the warm heat there and the white represents the gouvernment, as in Andacania, white is a political colour. The anchor on Dustland's flag represents their heavy industry in ocean liners, ships and their shipyards, which are the reason the country is so rich. The light blue represents the waters that are never far away, wherever you are on the island, and the dark blue was added to mourn the loss of the D.L.L. Kitanic, which sank in deep, dark waters on it's way to Iangeu Island, a precarious journey spanning about a quarter of Kerbin's radius with no land at all on the route. The crown on APMSSC represents it's monarchy, the dark green represents it's tundra and the light blue represents it's clear skies. The yellow on Gerin's flag represents the blazing hot temperatures in it's huge desert, the orange represents the sands, the red represents the fires that stricken the gardens of it's inhabitants and the tower represents Gerin's many large castles, in which most of the countries inhabitants live. The star on Nusad's flag is shared with Bylia, as they used to be one country. The green represents Nusad's jungles and the blue streak represents it's huge river that goes through the entire country, with the larger blue area representing Sapphire beach, the point where the Sapphire river flows into the sea. The flags are free for anyone to use, don't worry about credit (though it would be nice ) and any contributions to the project are appreciated, as well as suggestions! The flags aren't quite optimized for KSP flags, as in the flag maker they are 240x160, while KSP flags are 256x160, but hopefully you won't mind. Enjoy!
