The Airliner Showcase Thread
Sharkman Briton replied to ZodiaK's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Not the usual aircraft we see on this thread, but I thought my Dingo was worth showing. Release Thread -
Introducing... The KerbAir-101 "Dingo"! The KEAR-101 is a beautiful transport method, with room for a pilot and their co-pilot in the high visibility cockpit, and two passengers in the luxury yet comfortably compact cabin! With a burn time of seven and a half hours provided by twin "Hornet" prop engines, this craft is able to bring two infatuated Kerbs practically anywhere (On Kerbin) from the romantic town of Kenice to the glazed white beaches of Dachland's Crater Coast. This plane is sure to reliably bring you to whatever destination you so choose. With the safety of two operators, beautiful views from both the cabin windows and the high-visibility cockpit, reliable engines and a simple yet sweet wing design, with unique vertical stabilisers. Passenger cabin includes a ladder for easy loading/unloading of passengers. Enjoy! Purchase for your airport now! More info on this link. Requires Lacks Stock Extension (SXT) Disclaimer: Usage of the "mod" called "FAR" will probably stop this aircraft from functioning properly. Proceed with caution. Enjoy! Have a safe flight!

Sido, I keep seeing in your Urania posts and in your signature a parts pack with these black russian-like parts, can you tell me what mod it is?
-
I've made a channel for KSP Militar ships on IRC, it's #KSPMilitia
-
The oldest is definately SQUAD, as he is a deity existing since the creation of Kerbol. Hail SQUAD.
-
So I'm guessing you derailed the thread? Don't make the mods close the thread.
-
Spartwo I am HUGE fan of that carrier! How do you do it? The aesthetics.
-
Can you link me to where you get these badges? ... Go on, download it! XD

I have just launched my first interplanetary mission! INEX-1 is a space probe that has gone to Eve to orbit it, I am so proud of the cute lil' thing! ----------------------- Today, year 1 day 123, the INEX-1 beamed it's camera pictures of it's mission back to KSC Mission Control, after reviewing the files for any UFO's, the pictures were entered into the Public Archive Folder and released to all KerbalKind. Thanks for looking!

Okay. Why don't we call it the Rhea-Class?
-
Ahah! Alpha said the same with the wobbling and firepower, I will def reduce the reaction wheels (underbelly large RW or the two 1.25m RW) and replace the Jackhammer torps (the small ones) with PosterTorp HVHM's. Thanks for the input as well, Alexander! - - - Updated - - - I believe the Tethys is my best ship yet!
-
It's on Page 408. The Tethys-Class, thanks! If you make any changes, please send me the new download link.

What you should use is a stack seperator, and set the seperation force quite low, it's not accelerating because the engine will be blocked by the decoupler. Try using a spark engine instead of an Ant as well, as there are a few factors in making a good missile (that I know of.)1. Speed, obviously. But if you go too fast you will just glitch through the ship, this is good if you phase through the ARMOUR and get the inside, but bad if you phase through the whole thing and don't do anything. 2. Mass, if it's heavy it will be a bigger blow, like a hammer. 3. Crash Tolerance. You want something with a high crash tolerance at the front, like a truss segment, I-beam, structural panel or (if you are going for a massive cruiser that overkills everything) Ruggedized Vehicular Wheels. Anything with a suitable size that has a high crash tolerance is really good! With that, I hope you can better make your stuff, but I will warn you though, ships NEED reaction wheel units, especially if they are have a probe core, probe cores can barely even control tiny ships. I really like your fighter, though. I'll PM you.

Anyone wanna test my Light Destroyer?
-
I've made a breakthrough! Thanks to ScriptK1tteh, I've managed to create a low part count, deadly (hopefully), and awesome looking Light Destroyer! Weighing in at just 44 tons! Armed with two Jackhammer HVHM Torps and a single 1.25m "Thud" Torpedo (totally not copied from ScriptK1tteh) and a "Dual-Backbone" design, which should hopefully make it more structurally integral. Tests, anyone? download Tethys-Class Light Destroyer Testing is greatly appreciated! Thanks to ScriptK1tteh!

Won't

Thanks for the advice Scr1pt, What I'm happy about is that it actually works in t he essence of not wobbling like a wobbly thing. I never can figure out how people make such structurally integral ships, nevermind those badS wedge shapes, all I know is that you use truss segments for the "backbone" and thats about it... I just want to make something not useless for once.
