New question: What time is undocking and is anybody streaming it? I already checked NASATV. -

I've seen it there several times, it's plenty bright. Stellarium says it's Progress MS-06, which launched in June. I think they will be/are undocking it in preparation for the new vehicle arriving in the next few days. -

PTPTPPTPTPTPTPTPTP *pops a megaminx* I will be outside playing sax in the pep band tonight for the homecoming game. So, I decided to check if there will be any ISS passes while I'm out there. I checked Satflare, and ISS will pass almost directly overhead! I decided to look at it in more detail in Stellarium, just for a little extra info on where and when to look. I zoom in, and see...a Progress resupply vehicle! I will tell the whole band and the director about it! They should both be visible! Anybody know the approximate magnitude of a Progress/Soyuz at altitude? -

I think it involves floating point numbers. See this video for a pretty good explanation of what floats do.

I don't think they'll be reusing those grid fins. Also the landing legs look a little more bent upwards than usual.
-
In 100 years, I predict there will be a rocket with grid fins with integrated waffle irons.
-
It's easy to forget the size of the rocket, even after watching so many launches...
-
Fixed that for you.

You can't stop us! The spook is too strong! And I have JPEG powers!

There's a magnitude 11 comet in Perseus right now, if you can get objects that dim.

That's really slow, I think. c ~ 3x10^8 m/s Cancel out 8 zeroes from your number 0.000000000000000000000000198 m/s Let's split that up 0.000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 198 A ten thousandth of a yoctometer every second. That's really slow. Carry on.

The change I've noticed is that tags are a very light color today. I think they're going to fall off in preparation for winter.

The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread

The color of the flame is unique. Hydrolox, for instance, makes a clear blue plume. Methalox is purple, I think. -

I mean...there's actually nothing wrong with the meme. You do actually have to go sideways to get into orbit.

Granted, but the US President can switch it on and off at will. I wish coronation had to do with the sun's corona.

A very nice shot of S1 dropping through the clouds onto JRTI, too bad the video cut out.

I think I dreamt I was the Doctor last night. It got pretty crazy, although I hardly remember any details.
