Ton: a documentary on the history of the imperial unit (Tron) Snakes on a Plan: these snakes are fat, they go on a diet to lose weight. The Little Price: Black Hat opens a store where everything is ridiculously cheap, but a total scam. He puts tiny cameras in the boxes so he can watch people's reactions and frustration when they open their "product".

Granted, but it keeps spewing tea until Earth is engulfed in a tea ocean, which expands until it achieves fusion, and the whole solar system is engulfed. It keeps expanding and becomes a black hole eventually, and proceeds to expand until it consumes the universe. I wish to live for a thousand years.

Ask a stupid question, Get a stupid answer back.

Probably one of these: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 Do I have to have questions? -
In KSP, they are. So, technically, the gravity scan is incorrect. But if KSP had our physics, then gravity would indeed be slightly less at the bottom of a deep canyon than at the top of a mountain.

Hey! Look! That's me! I'm in the process of testing a new version of the cube that will be faster and lock up less. When it's done, I'm thinking I'll post a challenge for people to solve it! Unfortunately, it doesn't comply with World Cubing Association regulations, as the stickers are not similar in size, shape, or texture.

True, and mission control doesn't really talk much. I think I'll switch back to the "talky" webcast for the next launches. Or maybe I can have both running so I can look at the rocket feed even when they're not showing it on the narrated one.

How To REALLY Get Angry At Space Science Deniers
cubinator replied to NeoMorph's topic in The Lounge
Don't worry, it was just a joke. I use metric whenever I can IRL. I'm even trying to convert to Celsius, but it's hard to do so when everything tries to tell you the temperature in Fahrenheit... ^seconded. -
Do you have a screenshot that makes you laugh every time?
cubinator replied to Randazzo's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'd like to read a technical paper written by a Kerbal. Where in real life we have warnings like this one: Kerbals would write: "WARNING: Icky Boom Goop. NOT FOOD!" -
How did you get the Mun looking all rocky like that? It looks really cool!

The Mystery Star: HAT-P-22B/ISC 50750
cubinator replied to ProtoJeb21's topic in Science & Spaceflight
If it's a gas giant orbiting really close, chances are the solar wind will be stripping away its atmosphere and giving it a huge, comet-like tail which would glow very brightly. Can you measure the movement of the star and potential companion to estimate its mass? -
It definitely came down a lot slower than CRS 8. The ship slowed down to landing speed really high up then remained constant, but it took so long to descend that it ran out of LOX a few meters up. You can sort of see it go "thunk" right at the end before the smoke cloud engulfs it.

Those actually crashed into Ike.

I would answer polls more often if they didn't have those weird invisible mountains...makes it really hard to get to the buttons without blowing up.

Hey, this isn't the thread for banning! This is the thread for calling out cheaters, and parachutes are definitely cheating!

I think they don't actually need to eat anything, they just do it for fun.

Speedcubing (duh) Stargazing Thinking about everything (occasionally just a few things in particular, but often I'm literally thinking about everything) Trying to decide whether time goes too slowly or too fast, failing Xevious (I'm up to 226000 as of today! Beat the second mothership, but not much further, damn bombs everywhere!) Learning about space, physics, engineering, biology, etc. via the internet VR games, like Minecraft Being a nerd by knowing a bunch of random stuff about space and insects Actually, I think I can sum up this whole list in one item: Being a nerd. Nerds are awesome, and get the coolest jobs ever! Also, I play a few instruments; saxophone, vibraphone, congas, coffee cans.

How To REALLY Get Angry At Space Science Deniers

But...but relativity...and c...and orbits...at least that one seems to accept that there are masses getting pulled towards each other... -
Dang, I keep reading the thread title as "Should I get a sandwich?" to which I think "Yes!" then remember to read both halves of a word before responding. This is at least the third time now... I agree with previous posters, a smartwatch doesn't really do anything new. I'll get one when it has a built-in hologram, but until then I'm sticking to regular watches and regular phones.

I think NASA needs to do a sample return from Earth. It's the largest rocky planet, and it is clearly in the Sun's habitable zone. I think it's a great candidate for life, especially since it appears to have liquid water on it's surface and a thick atmosphere with oxygen.
