  1. Ehm, sorry about that, i got a bit excited. Anyway, thank you so much for this mod! The helicopter cockpits are really great, because i love copters, but i wanted to ask you - do you have sometime in the future in plan a two seat tandem heli cockptit? I know there's an Apache cockpit in Firespitter, but it's not exactly stockalike and frankly - i find it quite ugly. Mainly the texture.
  2. No, i don't need them and therefore i don't use them, it's just that i tried it once and failed miserably so i stopped using them, but i remebered about the problem, when i saw this Eskandare's helicopter and just figured i could ask, how others solve the problem: Anyway thanks, i guess i'll just continue not using them.
  3. I mean, i know why is that - as soon as the heli starts moving forward, the wing parts on the tail start generating lift and they lift the tail up, tilting the craft , the question is, how you guys cope with that.
  4. Guys, what about you and lift generating parts on helicopters? I swear to god, every time i added a horizontal stabilizer with elevators on the tail of a copter everything went south as the manouverability was far more worse. It's fine whilw hovering, but during forward flight it's just terrible.
  5. And today I've made some minor design changes and created a drone version for use on Eve. Because so far I haven't been able to get anything from surface of Eve to orbit...
  6. I've built a tilt-wing scientific plane for Duna. This way it should be much easier to get around the planet. Rotatrons are from IR of course, I've used foldable electric propellers from Firespitter and the craft is powered by one M-EXP KerboPower fission generator from Near Future Electrical. This ensures approximately 5 years of uninterrupted flight . I just hope the aerodynamic conditions aren't too different from my expectations and that it will be flight-capable on the planet... Sorry for the bad lighting conditions: So i took it for a ride. After some minor changes.
  7. Hi, is it just me, or does this mod make the floodlights much dimmer? I can't say I'm happy having to use 6 to 8 Illuminators to cast as much light as I would with just one stock Mk 1 Illuminator. Is there a way to revert it?
  8. I'm trying to keep it simple. Although sometimes i get lost anyway, since i play with Remote Tech. So my names usually consist of the celestial body the vessel is primarily destined to, the vessel type/purpose, and a number version. So i get names like Kercomm, Dunascan, Minbase, Munstation, Ikesat, Eveminer... In case of multiple commsat relay systems the version number is followed by an order number. So my four communication satellites around Kerbin are right now Kercomm III - I to Kercomm III - IV.
  9. I admired some distatnt mountains of Kerbin bathing in the rays of the morning sun while hunting for one of the monoliths. And i created and succesfully tested my first SSTO!
  10. Well in the end i solved it by making it a mid wing. In such way the COT always passes through the COM. Works like a charm. Only the craft doesn't resemble Osprey not even a little anymore.
  11. True. But O.K., i actually have one more question: how to cope with the uncontrollable dive into which the craft plunges when i change the position of the rotors from helicopter to airplane? And vice versa. So far two things quite worked: first - the rotors are balanced so, that the change of their position doesn't affect the COM and second - setting the speed and acceleration of the rotatrons as low as possible. But it still isn't quite enough.
  12. Great, I'll give it a try. And I promise I'll stop being an idiot and forgetting to engage limits before setting presets.
  13. KSP is 1.1.3, IR is the latest, legacy one. I'd give you a truck of cookies if i could. Thanks again. Btw is there a reason for the presets not to work, when the limits aren't engaded?
  14. Hi, sorry for being a bother again, but i've built another tilt rotor from scratch and this time the presets i set in SPH aren't there after launch. Have i done something wrong? What can i do about it? And why the hell do the rotatrons turn different ways in SPH and on the runway?
  15. Honestly, I don't remember. But it could be.
  16. Omg i got it working, thank you so very much. One has to understand, that the presets have to be in order, from smallest, negative values through zero to positive values. In other words that there is a certain logic in the sequence of presets. Then it's much easier too set it up. Still don't know, what caused the trouble with the 2 degrees though.
  17. It is indeed. What i'll do is that i'll make a clean, vanilla install of KSP and try it as the only mod and i'll see. No need to be sorry, i was just wondering if anyone had the same problem. Can you give me the values o presets for both the inverted and uninverted rotatrons, please? Just to be sure.
  18. I have. It's presets what's loveed up. The best i could get is the same travelling speed and direction, but a wrong point where one of the two rotatrons stops rotating and nothing i do can change the wrong stopping point. It keeps deliberately changing the value in the presets to either a negative value, or a value that doesn't make any sense, like 2° as i said earlier.
  19. I know about that, i did that and it doesn't work. Or better what it does correctly is that the rotors rotate in the same direction (forward), but don't stop in the same position. While one rotor rotates forward from 0° to 90°, the second one rotates in the same direction, but instead it doesn't do 1/4 of a circle, but 3/4. And the config is extremely stubborn in not saving the position of the second preset i input. It sounds buggy to me, i'll ask in the Infernal robotics thread.
  20. Exactly. My space agency is currently stagnating, because i keep building different planes and flying them around the KSC just for fun. Btw, can someone help with Infernal Robotics? Any idea, why two rotatrons placed in symmetry mode rotate in one direction in SPH and in another direction when actually flying? Why, when i'm trying to set presets it completely ignores my tries to set 90° and instead it keeps setting -90° or 2° with no apparent reason? And how the hell do i make it, if i want both rotatrons to rotate into the preset in the same direction and stop at the same position? I'm trying to make a tilt-rotor VTOL and i just can't get both parts working in the identical way, just mirrored. What puzzels me the most is, why it keeps setting the preset to 2°, there's no reason for that at all.

  22. Wow, what a monster! Nice job though. Yeah, i've been playing with the idea of using TCA myself for some time now. I guess i'll give it a try.
  23. Yeah, this is gonna be the problem, yesterday i tried to build an Osprey-like helicopter, and it flipped too, this time around the roll axis instead of pitch axis (although i had some pitch problems too). And the Osprey rotors seem very powerful too. Thanks very much, ill try to fine tune it.
