Exoplanets: Conditions, Appearances, and Names
Spaceception replied to ProtoJeb21's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Links? I searched on google, and all that came up was Kepler 452b. -
Just for clarification, I didn't do this, I don't even have the full game of KSP yet.

@Just Jim Don't think big, think small, what's the minimum size you need for a grand tour? For inspiration, watch this:

I wonder if he knows about Universe Sandbox... -

Possibly, that's why I like the system, and it's definitely big enough to have a moon the size of Mars -
The Void UPDATE I'm done with this 1/4/17

I'm three fifths of the way done, and the second chapter should be up before the 10th of April -
Blue Origin could fly you to the Moon in 2 years. Wat.

Wait, seriously? I didn't look around, just skimmed the article, but seriously, the freedoms the media have are going out of control. -
Nice, Also, for the Paradium joke, you should've had 69 before the 42

What are your planet plans?

So, I was screwing around in Universe Sandbox 2, after a couple of people were discussing the stability of habitable zones around planets around Alpha Centauri, so I placed down Alpha Centauri A/B, and separated them at a distance of 11.2 AU )I couldn't get the 11.2 by 35 something AU thing), and over the course of almost 2,000 years I stimulated Alpha Centauri Bb around both stars, around Alpha Cen B, the planet was flung out, but around Alpha Cen A, it was pretty stable, then I decided to put a planet 4 AU from both stars, Alpha Cen B had its planet slung out, but around Alpha Cen A, again, it was stable. Now, I would've simulated it longer, but I need to go somewhere soon, so I can't, anyway, about binary's in general, how stable would various binary systems be? Also, here's an example of a real life Tatoonie )The view would be much cooler as there's not only 2 stars, but there's also a gas giant in the sky!)

It's cloudy today.

Here's a pretty bad photo taken last year )I'm a boy scout), I don't smile much because I don't like it, so I either give a small smile, or don't smile at all, even though it makes me look like I hate life )Although, I probably could've done a bit better with it)

I've also done NYLT, 27 merit badges, 100 nights of camping, 173 backpacking miles, and 63.5 hiking miles, over the 4 in a half years I was with the troop )In Washington state) They were REALLY active! Check out the website to see for yourself: http://troop-1539.org/

@fredinno Alright, I think this has gone on long enough, take it to a new topic please, this is talking about finding planets around Proxima Centauri, not talking about the stability of the habitable zones around Alpha Centauri A//B, I don't want this thread closed for going off topic, especially since we're probably 2 to 4 months away from potentially talking about a solar system ESO Astronomers have found, Okay? Okay.

That would've broken the rules.

Actually, 2 planets were detected around Alpha Cen b, 1 likely doesn't exist, but another one likely does, unfortunately, both are WAY to close to Alpha Cen b, and would be in the HZ if they orbited Proxima.
