  1. I did not know this. Haven't gotten around to playing KSP after updating. Thank you so much! Orbital Science is a lifesaver
  2. The license is CC, so as long as you attribute the mod author you can redistribute.
  3. Well, first you have to see if the tweak will work. From there, the patch would look something like the one I wrote to turn some of @DMagic's antenna parts into massive relays (DMagic, it'd be great if you threw this patch in with the install as an optional for OPM users.) Here's the patch: @PART[dmSIGINT.End]:NEEDS[DMagic] { @MODULE[ModuleDataTransmitter] { @antennaType = RELAY @antennaCombinable = True } } You'd change the @PART category to an OPT part and repeat the whole thing for each part you want, or perhaps to something from a @HAS call; maybe ModuleLiftingSurface. Then you'd plop in the electric ablator module. From the looks of it the config would be pretty easy. This should work. MODULE { name = ModuleAblator ablativeResource = ElectricCharge lossExp = -7500 lossConst = 0.1 pyrolysisLossFactor = 6000 reentryConductivity = 0.01 ablationTempThresh = 500 useChar = True charModuleName = shieldChar } Hell, since this was so easy I might publish it myself. Tell me if this works, and I'll acknowledge you as testing/inspiration I'd first add the modified ablator code to a specific part and test it, then see if it works.
  4. It's worth taking a look at the code for the heat shield and first seeing if you could change the .cfg so they consume electricity instead of ablator, and then applying that via MM patch to the OPT parts. @K.Yeon might also want to consider making this an unlockable feature for the set.
  5. I do like the idea of offering two options. Faster download times, less bandwidth, etc. Maybe the guys at CKAN can eventually add a command line utility for decompressing .7z as part of the CKAN build.
  6. Nertea's Mark IV Expansion has two kinds of 2.5m RAPIER engines, an aerospike and a standard engine. Those should be useful.
  7. Most Windows users will go "huh" at a .7z. It's not really a platform issue so much as a user-level issue. .zip and .tar.gz are baked-in formats for Windows and Un*x systems, so it makes sense that those are more familiar.
  8. There's a setting that changes when they'll deploy when staged: Deploy when Safe, Deploy when Risky, Deploy on Stage. Should be in the right-click menu for the part
  9. Hey all, since I'm a Japanese major I'm planning on starting a Japanese language patch. So, if you speak Japanese (at least at an intermediate level) please send me a message.
  10. This same thing happened to me. Sometime this weekend I'll whip together a NFE and stock save and get a log for you @Nertea
  11. Working on 1.2.1 modded career and figured I'd show off @Nertea's awesome custom plume. Reason to download alone.
  12. Hey Sigma, any plans to update to 1.2.1?
  13. I can try again sometime today just to make sure it's still not working, but otherwise I'm on the latest.
  14. Yeah, that's basically it. From greatest dV to least in the Nertea/stock system it goes: electric engines -> nukes -> oxidizer-booster nukes -> cryo -> regular chemical engines. Thrust is this in reverse.
  15. Is there a patch for 1.2.1? That might be it. I'm using the latest version but did update to 1.2.1 last night.
  16. I think i saw this issue in the other thread a long time ago but I'm not digging through it at midnight, so my apologies if this is asked and answered. I'm getting an error where when trying to activate a beacon the in-game text says something along the lines of "Activation Failed! - No Electric Charge" but there is f***loads of electric charge on the beacon vessel and another s***load being generated by a NFE reactor. Is there a stupid solution that I'm missing or?
  17. 1. KER 2. MechJeb 3. Filter Extensions 4. Near Future Tech (counting Cryo Engines and Kerbal Atomics) 5. AmpYear 6. SpaceY 7. Rastor Prop Monitor 8. Docking Port Alignment Indicator 9. Hyperedit 10. Mk2 expansion
  18. CKAN takes a day or so to update. Give it a few days and then if there's a problem let one of the CKAN guys know, they're very friendly. Nertea doesn't deal with CKAN issues anyway.
  19. Could you possibly add some additional Big-S control surfaces? I always get frustrated trying to use the stock ones with your wing segments.
  20. No, it's pretty much a stereotype of rural America.
  21. Win, Linux, or OS X? My OS X build that i just downloaded isn't 64 bit
  22. I agree with this. AMRAAMs are deadly SoBs and are the thing you need. I haven't entered yet, wanting to perfect my design, but I've found that spamming AMRAAMs against the Stealth Weasel is the best way to go. Now to take on the Phantom...
