  1. Yeah, but the Earth is not a big ball. A ball is not flatter around the poles.
  2. That doesn't matter much. If you don't have an nVidia GPU, PhysX will do all the calculations on your CPU. Plus, the fact that your engine is multithreaded doesn't make your game multithreaded. PhysX was never meant to take advantage of multiple CPUs/cores, since it's nVidia's marketing ploy to make you use their cards instead.
  3. I personally don't see the appeal of the current Career mode or the one that came before it. They way it plays and feels with weird mechanics (Artificial difficulty introduced by having different types of Kerbals, leveling up that doesn't anything other than asthetic purposes and another stat for you to micromanage, missions without rhyme or reason that feel like a bunch of Forum challenges slapped together, Illogical tech tree order, repetitive missions that seem to reward grinding, unnecessary achievements, etc.), makes it feel and look more like an afterthought than an actual feature that was planned for the game. Much like the lackluster single player campaigns they make for games that were intended to be multiplayer only.
  4. Also called 'Anaglyph 3D'. I remember that too. I don't remember how to activate or if still can be activated.
  5. Windows 10 'Home' x64. Google Chrome. I'm using Disconnect + uBlock Origin. Well, now it's working. Weird. It wasn't working yesterday.
  6. Isn't this essentially the entirety of the Internet?
  7. Clicked on the plus sign on each quote and clicked on the 'Add quotes' blurb on the bottom right of the screen. If it's multiple quotes, I can't enter any text. For single quotes, if I click on the quote's text without having typed anything, I can't enter any text either.
  8. The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Somehow, manages to be more entertaining than Skyrim.
  9. The mystery goo is a goo that is mysterious. Why people even ask about these things?
  10. I fail to see the relation between the OPs thread and the Topic's title.
  11. "Well...At least we finally got rid of third wave feminism for good!"
  12. "SQUAD is a small company" "Using Mechjeb is cheating." "We introduced this feature (that completely breaks other stuff and keeps you from doing things you used to do before) to keep players from making mistakes." "Why don't [insert name of part here] doesn't behave more like in real life?" "We did an overhaul (that changes asthetic and mechanics) of [insert name of part] in this new update." "[Insert feature here] is not possible because there's only a small number of people working in the game."
  13. And....Aparently, it's not multiquote only. Clicking on the quote's text by accident does that as well.
  14. -Where are these dev notes? Are they marked as such? I don't have time to watch livestreams. -I was talking about 'bare metal' and stability optimizations, mainly. The game still is loaded all into RAM and its performance varies greatly depending on the number of assets that are present. Or some mods can break the game. Or some mods introduce arbitrary behavior, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when reporting a bug, I was told that it spanned across several versions without being fixed.
  15. I tried to reply to two answers that quoted mine in a single post. After I was done putting both quotes in my reply, I couldn't type any text at all, except for editing the quotes that I inserted using multiquote. Reloading the page or trying to redo my reply didn't solve anything, I had to post the message with the quotes, then I could type a new answer.
  16. Well, apparently, I can't multiquote and post at the same time...Oh well. What I expected? Optimization is a big one. Maybe Unicode support or compliance, so people can translate the game to other languages, since not everyone speaks English? Maybe consider that...asset loading may be a bigger issue than multithreading support? Other optimizations? Cause, I checked a few things and...a good portion of things that come in new versions are either more assets or more features. And...not really into baiting mr. regex. I'll pass.
  17. Well, it's plain and simple. If I multiquote, I can't reply or quickly reply to a thread.
  18. So...It seems the usual 'the cake looks weird and kind of wobbles so more icing should fix it.'. My hopes are not high for 1.5.
  19. Yes. There's DRM on the Steam version of KSP. That DRM is called Steam.
  20. On Windows, that cap is 3.5 GB, because Windows reserves the upper 512 MB for some addresses. On Linux, the cap is 4 GB. Linux maps addresses differently. Since OSX is essentially Unix, the cap is also 4 GB.
  21. In my tests, the Kerbals have to land on their feet, then they bounce every single time, up to about as high as you can make them. In theory, they could survive a drop from an orbit if they reenter slow enough, but I have no idea how you'd rig a vessel to test that.
  22. While the engine has Unicode support, doesn't mean the game's source code has said Unicode support. Hopefully someone with some sense and...marketing vision pushes full Unicode support. The hability to translate games to different languages will mean more KSP players. Not everyone speaks English.
  23. Well, I predict 'reasons' being something along the lines of "Too much code to make Unicode compatible, so we can't touch it." to not implement it. Any sane developer already makes their code Unicode compliant nowadays.
  24. They should be optional, indeed. I'm not sure why procedural parts aren't a thing yet, as well as scalable tanks and engines.
