  1. USS Intrepid, "The Fighting I" 1943 configuration

    Type: Essex Class Aircraft Carrier

    Commissioned: August 16th, 1943

    Decommissioned: March 15h, 1974

    Re-Commisoned/refitted to attack carrier: CVA-11 (October 1st, 1952)

    Struck: February 23rd, 1982

    Fate: Museum ship currently berthed on the Hudson River in the United States.
