Yeah, he hasn't been on since mid-june.....
-
No, but it is preferred if the person doing the voice over is over 173 CM, has a size 8 shoe, wears a Men's Medium T-shirt, owns a pet rabbit named Mr. Flufflesnuffles, drives a red VW golf or Ford Sierra and is hailing from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

Actually ignore this.

Proposals for improvements in the physics system
qzgy replied to Azimech's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
It could be cool to have some form of temperature dependent operation. My main concern with this would be that this will make the already sheer learning wall even higher. On another note, does the current RTG produce any heat whatsoever? Or is it just a "free electricity box" at the moment, with no downsides except weight? -
During the Korean War, Tootsie rolls were used to help fix cracks in machinery that was breaking as a direct result of the cold. The tootsie rolls, sent accidentally through some screw up instead of mortar shells, actually helped patch the broken stuff. Video for a better explanation/source Also, there are many interesting ways the CIA tried to kill Fidel Castro that could make fro an interesting segment.

I played with a pure rocket based SSTO taking off from the water. Didn't really get it to work yet.
-
Here, NJ, is alot less interesting - There are restrictions on that kind of stuff. However, I do have a neighbor who does have a license for fireworks. I guess the bottle rockets are for premature celebration of the launch? All quiet on the eastern front.....
-
Snide commentary is the best commentary.
-
But.... but.... Fireworks are pretty. Also seasonal.
-
Especially when it knows it could have waited a little longer where he would see Earth again.
-
You know, it would be more interesting if there was a sudden explosion right about now....
-
Abort? Again? cmon.... Not space-x's day.
-
Queue epic music...
-
Webcast now has a person talking. I thought they wanted to launch about an hour ago, right?

Seaplane to Orbit Rebooted [1.3.x]
qzgy replied to Speeding Mullet's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Is it okay If I do this in 1.2.2? - It should still work in 1.3.... Also, what do you think about quantum fuel storage (read fuel clipping)? -
The one thing that strikes me as odd is why your Physics, Part database, and settings files are all "Crafty Files" They should be .cfg, or config files. Maybe someone like @bewing could help out here? Just try clicking the KSP application, and see what happens. I'm not sure if you have tried that already, but try anyways.

To add images here, you have to use an image hosting site. Most of us, including myself, use imgur. Its also free, and doesn't need an account (but its also nice to have). Upload your screenshot there (of your KSP folder) and maybe that could help. Are you sure there isn't anything along the lines of Gamedata, resources, etc? I'll post my current ksp folder here for reference. Ignore the parts labeled PartMapper. That's a thing from another website, KerbalX and is not relevant to the actual game. The folder at the top is a crash report. Ignore that too.

That big tail fin looks so out of place. Nice job though. These curvy things are especially hard to model.

I would certainly be interested. (also interested in pushing the definitions of "wing suits") -
Figured out a better launch LF/Oxidizer ratio for that SSTO. Also, really loving that rhino engine on the back. Mercifully shorter burn times, and gives an extra 150 m/s delta-v!

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
qzgy replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
The answer to this, AFAIK, is "not much, if at all" Also, I can't remember, but are all flavors of the Super Hornet twin seaters? Edit: Should have just looked it up. F/A-18E is not, F/A-18F is (a twin seater). -
Ok. Weather prediction is annoying. Looking at the NOAA reflectivity radar, there's a band of rain/storms, kinda headed in the direction of Cape Canaveral, but currently located slightly northward, more Orlando area. I guess you might be actually able to figure this out already by being there though, but link if you'd like.

Out of curiosity, how do you semi-guess the appearance of a t-storm from the wind pattern? Is there some rule of thumb that exists in Florida I haven't heard of?

I would have to guess Scaterrer. -
1.2.2 I'm too lazy to update my mods.
