  1. Two things I notice: I'm not the only one who uses windows movie maker (or the effects are generic and shared between programs). I recognize that saucer from Alice 3. But then again, it might be a generic asset shared between programs. AWESOME Chapter!
  2. That is an interesting question. I'm not at my KSP computer right now, so this is purely from memory (And I don't want to go and check every chapter right now). 6 on the Duna Mission, counting Val. Between five and eight (?) on the Jool mission. Four around Moho. Four en route to Dres. Five (ish) en route to Eeloo. Four on the Mun (Including Robo-Bill and Robo-Bob, although they aren't there in-game). Nine in the two Eve ships. Between 38 and 45+ Kerbals. (Also, the game managed to eat my Wernher Von Kerman I coded in). Quite a lot, although you haven't seen anything yet!
  3. It's on its way and it will be a long time until it arrives. I'm not sure when. I might have forgotten to set the KAC alarm, but it's still probably en route. The Jool ship, though, is still a year away, and I really want to play with the ships I have in space right now for a while before I launch anything else. I've got something going to (or at) each planet right now, so I'll be covered for awhile. I just needed a storyline reason not to launch anything. (Blowing up KSC was WAAAAY more fun than it should have been.)
  4. Just so you know, I don't use nearly all of the screenshots I upload. Only some of them. I'm too lazy to delete the ones I don't need. 8 separate imgur uploads later: Part 26, Eve or and bust! Prepare for an incredibly long chapter! Also, some bloopers:
  5. ...! Note to self: Imgur doesn't like it when you try to upload 300 screenshots at once. Yep, the next chapter is going to be a bit lengthy. Currently uploading the first batch of 100. EDIT: Seriously? The limit is fifty images at a time? Welp, I'll be doing this for a while. EDIT EDIT: Wow, Imgur is deleting half of the images I upload.
  6. So, basically a dorm room, right? I just launched a mothership with 6 Kerbals in it, and there is room for 65.
  7. A lot of people feel slightly guilty when they send Kerbals on long interplanetary missions, because you see the MET at 4 years and assume they've been in space for four years. HOWEVER, although this is the case in Kerbal time, it is not the case in real time. Kerbal years are 426 days long, which may lead you to think their years are longer, but the main factor in this is the length of the day. Days on Kerbin are only 6 hours long. Doing some calculations reveals that Earth years are about 3.427 times longer than a Kerbin year. So, next time you feel guilty about sending your Kerbals on a 12 year mission to Jool, just remember that it's really only a 3 and a half year mission.
  8. Exactly what I'm working on right now. Although mine is only 280 tons... small compared to a lot of other stuff. ...Which is why I have to fly mine 500m away every time I want to test the ladders. There's a bunch of stuff above it as well as below it. Last ladder test (Hooray! They work now!) I managed to land about 2 centimeters from the runway. Oof. Don't give me any ideas. Too late. I'm going to try to land it on the VAB now. Different from that rover always parked by the runway? Wow, I need to catch up. My KSC is (mostly) clean. Okay, then. Not asking. And I though my 6 vector 1 poodle EAV was big enough!
  9. In case anyone's wondering why everything is taking so long, I'll give you three words: Eve Ascent Vehicle. Luckily, I've finally (After a month of on-and-off work) managed to get something workable. I just did a full mission "simulation" and although it is very hard to keep straight in the lower atmosphere, and doesn't like slopes, and a bunch of other minor (compared to previous tests) problems, the only major problem I have remaining is that the ladder is not long enough. Other than that, it lands near sea level with 5* kerbals and can reach a 150km orbit with plenty of fuel to spare. (Also, never done an Eve Ascent mission. This is a bit of a first for me.) So you can expect part 26 definitely within a week. It will be fairly lengthy. Also, there's school eating up my time...
  10. I once docked something to a giant mothership. I can't remember if I had 2 or 0.2 m/s of DV left afterwards.
  11. Yeah. The seafloor goes invisible below 1000m (Which is a problem when Laythe's average is pretty deep) but I can't recall physics glitching out. Hmm, that's weird. The spellchecker doesn't recognize "glitching" as a word.
  12. That information is classified. ^^^Not mine. Someone built it, though... On a more relevant note, Wow. The whole twitter thing. When you're at school for the first half of the day, you tend to miss stuff. Maybe something happened to the telemetry recorders, which is why they are looking to the public. (Did someone run RM*?) Or maybe they aren't turned on at that point.
  13. Aww yeah. It's a shame they won't be doing a 2016 season.
  14. SpaceX: 60 million dollar rocket and 200 million dollar sat exploded during Falcon 9 Rocket propellant load operation. Me: Right pant leg covered in gasoline during Rider Lawnmower propellant load operation. Let's just hope the mower will RTF soon... EDIT: AAAAnd, the mower's broken now. What next, will it explode?
  15. Oh my. I was just browsing Twitter, and I found this:
  16. T-7m! Tab 2: Webcast. Tab 3: The Final Countdown! And 2 more tabs of KSP forum threads. The other ones don't matter. Ooh, launch polling!
  17. In 7 minutes for me. I'm not studying for Spanish tonight! And English. And Biology. And everything else I have quizzes on tomorrow. One minute until launch!
  18. Excellent work as usual! Great job! (As an artist(ish) my second biggest enemy is shadows. Granted, you use the computer and I use paper, but they'd be equally hard either way. Good job on doing it so well!)
  19. Hey, I'm somehow still alive! And questioning my sanity... Yep. Totally no problems here.
  20. I tried to draw a Hype Train. It looked pretty good in person. My scanner ruined it. Then I tried to edit it in Imgur. Imgur ruined it again. I guess if anyone wants to see it, I'll post it... Anyway, HYPE!!!!!! Yay, 1.2! KerbNet! Fixed* Wheels! I've got a ticket that I totally didn't steal off of Google!
  21. I live in a small town in Iowa. Very small, surrounded by fields of corn. Once, we had a storm that produced winds that could have gusted into triple digits (!). Small town, surrounded by fields of corn. Over 300 trees were blown down. Yet my model rocket that was stuck in a tree stayed in the tree. One of the trees had a root system the size of a house. Which was completely torn out of the ground. Making a hole in the ground the size of a house. A car happened to be parked above the root system and fell into the hole. And the tree crushed a travel trailer that happened to be parked in the wrong spot. I went to South Dakota for a week and there was warnings for baseball sized hail. While we were on the road in a borrowed car. Fun times
  22. Everyone look! There are pirates battling cowboys in space while being attacked by Michael Jordan! On the MOON!
  23. KSP and Minecraft are two completely different games in two completely different genres, and cannot be compared. That being said, KSP and Minecraft are my top two games ever. I enjoy both. A lot.
