  1. I knew about it. Suggestion: send crew up to fix it and make an overly dramatic movie about it. Both China and SpaceX should have operational crew capsules by 2017 (SpaceX is a bit iffy, but if it is late 2017...).
  2. One of them says "Avoid Krackin!" Yes, it is spelled that way.
  3. Haha! I wish I knew the ending. Also, was I the only one who was inspired by Eve: Order Zero to go and build my own dipperkraft? Because I did. And my Gilly Lander looked suspiciously similar to Kuzzter's... I'll see if I can dig out the screenshots.
  4. Hmm... Half way there! I'm coming for you, Rep Grand Group! Assuming a linear relationship, I should achieve 1000 rep on March 5, 2017. Exactly 11 months from when I joined. Although the relationship won't be linear. At all. It would be interesting to see some statistics on how long it takes people to reach 1k likes. How much do you want to bet that something will launch to orbit the day I hit 1k likes?
  5. CRS 7 - 2015. Amos 6 - 2016. About 1 failure a year. Red Dragon is supposed to launch in 2018, so that's a year and a half of potential to RUD. Yes, success rate should rise because the Falcon 9 is constantly being updated. However, there will be more frequent launches, and more chances to RUD. No rocket is 100% safe. Sure, there are ones that have flown three times flawlessly, but every rocket that flies more than that will experience a failure eventually. It would be AWESOME if no more Falcon 9's would fail between now and then, though. I'd put my money on something to do with the second stage. Also, yay! 500 rep!
  6. Darn! Out of likes! Excellent drawing!
  7. Predictions: Another Falcon 9 will explode (excluding landing failures) before Red Dragon is launched. SpaceX will do its best to launch Red Dragon in 2018. I think there is a 70% chance of launch by this date. SpaceX will carry crew to space in 2017. If not, the first quarter of 2018. The MCT/ITS will definitely be delayed beyond 2026. I appreciate Elon's goals, but I think that the MCT/ITS will definitely slip. Potentially to the 2030's. SpaceX will launch an MCT/ITS. SpaceX will land the first man on Mars, provided they don't go bankrupt. SpaceX has a low chance of going bankrupt - reasons. That being said, I am a major SpaceX fanboy and optimist.
  8. I love hearing that little ding. Every time I open this page I lift my headphones to my ear (if I'm not already wearing them). Depending on the day, I get between 0 and 10 notifications. I think 10 was the record for one day (excluding me going on vacation for 2 weeks). Today I've gotten three so far. 3 likes of the same post, 2 likes of a different post, and one person posting on subscribed to content. No infractions/restrictions yet... Hey, I'm close to 500 rep!
  9. Allright. It's been a week (School and stuff) but I've managed to get something done. Half of the most epic thing I've ever done (And half of which is still to come) in KSP. I present part 27, The Descent:
  10. Short answer: I don't know. Long answer: In every test before the actual landing, the lander landed above 1500 meters. The lander is currently at an altitude of 968 meters. I also used a bit more fuel than I wanted to. I de-orbited from a 1000 by 500 KM orbit rather than the 100KM test orbit. And the landing burn went a bit long. However, in the tests, the lander could make it from 1500 meters to a 250-500 KM orbit with fuel to spare. I can take my mothership and fly it to it if it runs out of fuel. All I have to do is get the lander to a 91KM orbit. This will be interesting
  11. I landed on Eve with a crew of five. My first steps on Eve! More on this coming soon in my mission report.
  12. What? I actually made it to third place? Yay! I volunteer as tribute. Can you name the second me "Ultimate Jeb?" Please? EDIT: Never mind. Name the second me "Average Steve" please. Thank you!
  13. I'm okay* with most of this. Just, PLEASE don't make the Vector 2.5m. EDIT: Oh, hey. The compact version is 1.25m.
  14. I don't have any pics of these available, but there was Titania I. I basically built it out of tons of fuel tanks and mammoths in hopes that I'd get an epic explosion. I was not disappointed. My largest PRACTICAL rocket was Titania II. It ended up transporting four full gigantic (the biggest 3.75m) fuel tanks to the surface of the Mun. Then I got bored and crashed it into the Mun arch. If we step into another save file, you will find larger. Just click the link in my sig that says "Project Intrepid." For a short summary, there is a bunch of gigantic interplanetary motherships. The lifters for those are pretty huge. But Phase One (No spoilers) was designed to get 1500 tons of "Supplies" to the surface of Minmus. It needed a refuel from an equally gigantic rocket to do that, but it did the job. Phase one: Phase One Refueler:
  15. Nope. @max_creative. Only 19 hours too late!
  16. If you land in water, they will almost always live. Terminal Velocity means they shouldn't die by ocean. Unless the craft was going REALLY fast.
  17. I'm on windows, but I went to the store, logged in, went into my account, then into KSP, then there should be a list of download options. Scroll all the way down and you should see 1.2 for Mac.
  18. All you need to do is go into the saves folder, copy the save you want, go into the new saves folder, and paste it.
  19. Anyone know what the "Part Upgrades" option is all about? I see the settings option, but I don't see its functionality in-game.
  20. *GASP* New loading hints! The only two I've seen are Coupling decouplers and reverting to Launch so far. EDIT: Swimming on Laythe, Charging batteries, and my favorite so far: Falling off Gilly! EDIT EDIT: Calculating Collision Course! Never Visiting Dres! Reverting to VAB! Doing Barrel Rolls! I'm just going to keep reloading the game because I don't have time for career and I've gotta go to bed soon. Edit 3: Terminating Debris, Reinventing Wheel, Negotiating Gravity, Tanning on Moho, and my second favorite, Specifying Impulse!
  21. ...But, but, I have a Spanish quiz tomorrow! *Fourteen hours later* *Falls asleep in Spanish class*
