1.1 64bit always crashing
Calvin_Maclure replied to eroglu994's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
You may have stated this before but, what issue exactly were you having that you believe this fix may correct? CM -
I actually did not have Kopernicus in 1.0.5, but I did have EVE and did get that split thingy. Now, in order to have OPM, I have Kopernicus (up to date version) along with OPM, EVE and SVE and Scatterer. So, still getting the same issue with that in 1.1 as I did in 1.0.5, Kopernicus or not. Cheers, CM So what ended up being the issue? Glad you were able to get it fixed! Looks good! CM

So when you removed that mod (handrails continued), the crashing stopped? CM

I had tried removing FAR, but no luck. I'll have to try it again... CM

@Poodmund, does SVE affect any of the planets from OPM? My guess is, well... no. Else, why would you have bothered with your mod! Just want to double check: SVE/EVE affects all stock planets only. OPM needs your OPM-Visual Overhaul. Correct? (Im 99% sure that this is correct, just double checking). Thanks! CM

Kerbal Space Program patch 1.1.2 is now live!
Calvin_Maclure commented on KasperVld's article in Developer Articles
This may or may not have already been reported, or this may or may not be the place to report it, not sure. Forgive me for any mistakes on my behalf: I'm running a fairly modded version of KSP 1.1. All mods are the respective latest KSP 1.1 compatible versions. What works ok: - VAB/SPH (I can load, modify, create new ships, see all modded components that were added, all mod functionality is nominal...) - Tracking Station (I can see all ships ok, new planets from ESO are good, I can go to and fly all ships, new KSP functionality is nominal...) - I can access all buildings at the KSC without any issues - I can load any saved files ok This is the problem I am encountering. Once I load a ship to go to the launch pad, the initial loading screen is as its always been. But once the ship gets loaded onto the launch pad at KSC, the screen goes dark and I only have very limited functionality. The game then proceeds to hard crash to desktop if I try to do anything from returning to launch, to VAB or to KSC. Screenshot of the issue: http://imgur.com/Z0usdh2 http://imgur.com/vW7ygH1 Here is the complete list of mods I was running (minus TAC Life Support for 1.1, Axial Aerospace and FASA. Those were NOT there when the issue occurred): http://imgur.com/b6RC884 http://imgur.com/w558a3S The game is launching from its 64 bit version, so I know that is not the issue. I'm using Windows 10 64bit OS. The really weird thing that I did notice when trying to debunk this is that the ship seems to get instawarped into a solar orbit into deep space or something weird like that. I was able to (somehow) recover one ship and I got science for having retrieved a ship from solar orbit, or something like that... Here's the screenshot for it (this happens when I reload the game and try to launch another ship, at which point I have to clear the launch pad, and it gives me this): http://imgur.com/CyWSTe3 Really unsure what is causing this but, as you can imagine, this is a pretty bad issue. I cant launch anything at the moment. I can only play with what has already been launched. Ive tried removing several mods that I know where potentially problematic, only to still have the same issues. Im posting this here with the hopes to shed some light on this problem for myself and for any other players who are experiencing this. Thanks for any help! I really need it! CM -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]

Thanks, mate. Grand of you to do so. I did read that thread, though. Funny I didnt see if... I'll have to try again. CM -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]
Calvin_Maclure replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Man, that's what Im hoping to find out. Ive already tried removing several potentially problematic mods from what I could gather in other forum threads, but so far, no such luck... Would you happen to recall where you read this? URL, perhaps? This would be a great help! Thanks, CM -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]
Calvin_Maclure replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ah... I see. Probably read too fast, there. But yes, you're right. TAC LS hacked is working well, as far as I can see. Problem is, any ship I try to launch crashes the game on the Launchpad! :S CM -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]
Calvin_Maclure replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Cool stuff. Are these two files that need to be added the same as they were two weeks ago (or so)? I ask because that's roughly how long Ive downloaded the hacked version. Just wanna know if I have to re-install these (maybe) updated files. Thanks for this! HUGE mod save! CM -
So, I uninstalled the following mods: - EVE - SVE - PlanetShine - Distant Object Rendering - Real Plume - Real Plume Stock - Smoke Screen - Scatterer and still crashed... so, visual mods are not to blame. CM

Well, I had this problem prior to installing Scatterer. So I doubt that its the issue. But, I suppose its worth trying without ANY visual mods. CM

1.1 64bit always crashing
Calvin_Maclure replied to eroglu994's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
So I removed PlanetShine, and when I tried to launch, I got this: http://imgur.com/Vz1XdZ9 If I hit ''M'', I get this: http://imgur.com/2zYGpvZ I can rotate the camera and all but... yeah... CM -

Just to be sure, was your issue the game crashing as your were trying to load/launch a ship from the launch pad?? And removing PlanetShine allowed the game to work? i.e.: you were able succesfully launch? Cheers, and thanks for this! CM

Ok, good to know. Its just that its getting somewhat confusing with all of the updates and stuff, what with KSP going from 1.0.5 to 1.1.2... I do have 64 mods installed... CM Holy freaking crap... HOW!? HOW have I only now discovered this mod????!!! GAAA! Its so sweeeeeeet! CM
-
Right, I got that part of it. Guess my question was not clear enough. When you download that bundle version, you still end up having two seperate folders in your GameData: EVE and SVE. So was THAT EVE folder modified vs the one you would get on its own? My guess is yes... CM
-
Wait what?? Dont download EVE seperately?? How will installing everything from that zip do anything differently than downloading EVE seperately?? Sorry for the confusion... CM
