  1. One reason for this is that oxygen is extremely damaging to the engine, seeing as it is an oxidizing agent
  2. I'm saying the patcher won't work because there is an issue with Squads server that deals with the patcher, but the store download is working fine
  3. KSP isn't other games, it's KSP, and if career was just a big tutorial we'd see complaints about that Most people like what they see o far.
  4. Try not to tab out, it can cause instability, also please try disabling any other running programs that may interfere.
  5. Hi kurja, we really do need logs, also info on your system, the "ldd KSP.x86" output and anything else you can gather that may help. Also please make sure your graphics driver is up to date and that your copy of KSP is not corrupted by testing a fresh copy.
  6. Not really sure why people feel they need the terrier to get to orbit or even to the Mun, sure it's a bit better on fuel and lighter but it's not strictly required.
  7. Nothing in the log so it's unlikely to be KSP directly, you could try whitelisting KSP in your antivirus in case it's that slowing KSP down (scanning every file)
  8. Make sure hyperedit is up to date, but it's known to cause issues even then
  9. Hi Ike, the patcher is down currently, but Squad are working on it ASAP, you'll have to get the installer or full zip from the store for the time being
  10. Hi TimVroomans, please see the support stickies, we'll need your logs for this one, as it seems to only be happening to you.
  11. LV-N engines will get hot by design, solutions include using other parts to absorb and disperse the heat (not feasible with a pre-made vessel) or to use full power sparingly, and lower throttle settings for long duration burns
  12. Please see the support stickies and provide your game logs ravaner
  13. This is actually by design, the "engine" is really the nozzle and to help with center of mass issues the aero engines have had their CoM moved forwards
  14. KSP uses the Unity3D shaders which work best with the proprietary driver, Gallium lags behind on shader support.
  15. Hi schelli, can you please see the support stickies and post your game logs. Also, please try disabling any unused network adapters including Hamachi, as those have been known to cause problems with KSP.
  16. Hi Captain Bluey, please see the support stickies as we need more information in order to help, but if you have made a scan the data will remain accessible, it only needs to be done once per planet
  17. Hi UntamedZer0, can you please see the support stickys, we'll need your game logs. Also, please unplug any controllers you may have to ensure this is not caused by a pad or joystick, and when this movement starts, press Alt+X to kill any trim that may have been applied during launch
  18. It is called Launcher in the task manager, that may be why you were unable to find it, also it should be killed when you reboot your PC anyway
  19. Hi Kaardvark, officially the Unity3D engine (and KSP) only really supports Ubuntu LTS and above, and while KSP can run on other distros it needs the libs that Ubuntu ships with. "ldd KSP.x86" will show if anything else is missing
  20. It'd help to know exactly when and where the probe got so hot as there's a lot of additional heating around mach2, also probes don't have a lot of thermal mass to spread heat around in, did you test any other probes?
  21. It'd be strange to be a graphics driver issue and be cross platform, but not everyone is getting this, only a handful, which suggests bad files in the download or an uncommon settings issue. Also, please just try the KSP.x86 and KSP.x86_64, not the launcher as the Squad patcher is not accessible at this time.
  22. Hi Felix, can you try rebinding the key, even if it's to the same key as previously, set the modes then click accept? I found it would only stick for me if the key was rebound
