  1. Would you be willing to try a clean boot to see if it's related to installed software?
  2. Can you try turning off your antivirus? Also try windowed mode and have your task manager open, look for any spikes in memory used by your programs.
  3. Can you please see the support stickies and post your logs no2ironman1100.
  4. It may not run KSP at all, another member has had trouble with his Aspire, KSP would not run using the Intel graphics, and while he has an Nvidia card as well, KSP and Dxdiag refused to use it. Other than that the specs look okay.
  5. Hey I only had your opening post to go on, and craft do overheat and explode, checking your logs now. Update: Your station 2 isn't in the save anymore :/
  6. What about ambient noise? There's some background wind noise that may be causing this.
  7. This doesn't look like anything we can fix, and should be reported to the public bug tracker, please see the stickies for information and the link to the tracker.
  8. Most likely it's overheating, you can enable heat in the action menu and as an overlay in the debug menu, alt+F12, physics tab Heat can also be controlled there. If it's not this then please see the support stickies, we'll need your game logs.
  9. I'm glad it's finally working for you Oh and yeah it'll work on other Linux distros, it's only supposed to work on Ubuntu but if there's one thing Linux users like to do it's tweak stuff and figure it out
  10. Hi Reluk5, please see the support stickies, as this is not normal.
  11. KSP.exe? That is the Windows executable file, it should work in Wine but won't work in Linux. KSP on Linux is started with KSP.x86 for 32bit systems or KSP.x86_64 for 64bit. They may need to be set as executable though, this can be done in the right-click properties for each file. KSP, because of Unity3D, is only really designed to work on Ubuntu and derivatives, each flavor is really just a front-end or skin. I don't know what else to say to help here, KSP should start on an Ubuntu system even with the open source drivers, though it'd be sluggish, so why you are having so much trouble is really baffling.
  12. Bit pointless having an overheat mechanic if no engines can overheat...
  13. "We're working on 1.0.1" announcement. There is a way to get around it for the time being, open the debug menu with Alt+F12 and click the "Physics" tab. In that tab you can reduce or disable conductive heating, which will prevent the pod from exploding.
  14. That suggests KSP may be having issues writing to the file system, some anti-virus programs can cause that, and some security software. To rule out other applications interfering I suggest you try a clean boot of Windows.
  15. Known issue, there is a patch in development, please see the Announcements section
  16. It's just an intake/fuel tank combination, it is the old radial engine body with a new model and texture. The only cooling effect is that it provides somewhere for engine heat to pass to.
  17. Well, if you use that many airbrakes then yes, you will slow down a lot :/ If you find them too effective you could use fewer of them.
  18. Are the four arrows green or yellow? If they are yellow you're entering physics-warp for some reason. Please see the support stickies, we'll need more info on this.
  19. Probably a bug, terrain clipping has never been 100%, I'd try different terrain detail settings.
  20. If the saves aren't in the game folder try C:\Users\username\application data, there should be a folder for Steam and KSP, oh and application data is hidden, so enable viewing of hidden files.
  21. We,, the resolution thing I think we can fix, you'll find a registry key called "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Squad/Kerbal SPace Program" containing "Screenmanager Resolution Height" and Screenmanager Resolution Width" as well as "Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode" Toggle them to decimal mode and you can manually set the default resolution, unless you're good with hexadecimal, that should solve the screen issue. As for the controls, does clearing the binding first have any effect?
  22. Entering then leaving the SoI should do it, the contract description is usually pretty clear, can you post a pic?
