  1. Haven't they always been surface attach false ? I know you can attach struts to parts that don't permit surface attach, but we can't put the first node of struts or fuel lines on them.
  2. Turning off the heat gauges "solved" it for me, tap F10 Updating this in case a new reader finds it, the memory leak is being caused by the PPFX edge highlighting plugin from the Unity3D asset store, disabling PPFX prevents the leak.

Now, most people are busy playing 1.0 right about now and with good reason, it's the biggest and best update to KSP Squad has made to date, so this month we'll look at some threads that are about 1.0 in some way. ---------- GoSlash27 is as helpful as ever with his Helpful 1.0 observations, so if you're finding 1.0 a little overwhelming drop by his thread, it's very helpful ---------- Also helpful is this gem by our very own AmpsterMan, where he details many of the physics changes in 1.0 ---------- Many things have changed in 1.0 that have affected how SSTO spaceplanes are designed, why not take a look at planes past, present (if you add your own) and maybe even the future in KissSh0t's SSTO showcase. ---------- 1.0 is great, but to really put all the changes into perspective we need to look back to simpler times, in this thread Hotblack Desiato challenges you to fly as high as you can, sounds easy? Take a look, it's harder than it seems ---------- In a small break from tradition we're looking at an addon this month, blackrack's Scatterer addon can really make KSP look good, especially when flying your 1.0 aero spaceplane into the sunset ---------- KSP has bugs, there's no denying, and Valentina (with the help of ShadowZone) shows us one of the older bugs in action ---------- That's it for this month, and don't forget, any landing you can crawl away from is a good one
  12. Guys, do not use -popupwindow or -force-opengl, they are unreliable and will break KSP. Also delete your settings.cfg, 0.90.0 settings can break 1.0 Some craft can be bugged and cause this, try a new craft and a new save.
  13. Some of the most fun flight games I've played have been far from realistic, (Crimson Skies anyone?) while sims like X-plane are also fun but in a different way.
  14. The two do not exclude each other, realistic games can be just as much fun as non-realistic.
  15. As a gamer who enjoys the game that is KSP, he has every right. KSP treads a line between simulator and game, with gameplay being more important, more drag is more forgiving and the transonic barrier is passable quite easily if you modify your expectations. Though of course, KSP is extensively modifiable by design as well, and drag values can be set to the players preferences in the Physics.cfg
  16. Heh, the resolution is fixable at lest. Open your Windows registry and do a back-up (always do a back-up) Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Squad/KSPLauncher" Edit the Screenmanager entries, use decimal and don't set fullscreen to 1 (the launcher doesn't have its own close button) A lot of people are having trouble updating via the launcher/patcher due to a bad DNS and certificate, so if it doesn't work just get the game from the Squad store.

  18. There is more gimbal now, this is deliberate, as more control authority is required due to the aero changes, gimbal range is tweakable though. SAS is known to be poorly tuned, and should be fixed for 1.1

  21. Guys we need your logs, it's no joke, KSP should not be doing this and the cause of your issue is unknown, in fact for most players KSP starts faster so it's not even a common KSP issue. Without more info there's no way we can solve this.
  22. There's no hit at all that I can see that might explain this, can you try remapping the screenshot key, you can find it in the settings.cfg TAKE_SCREENSHOT { primary = F1 secondary = None group = 0 modeMask = -1 modeMaskSec = -1 }
