1. I'm afraid I'm going to have to stop you and this thread there, before this thread goes any further off-topic than it already has. People need to understand there is a difference between sexuality and gender. We already know there will be at least one named female crew member, there will likely be female randomly named crew and ground crew as well
2. Can you please try reinstalling your graphics drivers and rebooting the computer
3. If you're in any way unsure about editing the Windows registry it's best to leave it alone to be honest, so try deleting the settings.cfg in the KP folder and see if it starts
4. This looks like KSP is having trouble with the graphics: "D3D device reset failed" is unusual, if you're alt+tabbing during load I'd use Windowed mode or alt+enter instead, maybe reinstall the graphics drivers if it continues. "Switching to resolution 154x0 failed, trying lower one" this could mean your registry entry for KSP's screen size got corrupted, you can find it in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Squad/Kerbal Space Program If you set both values to decimal and set width to 1024 and height to 768 it should work.
5. I already use "Crewed" personally, not due to gender but due to it being a more appropriate word as capsules contain crew and Kerbals aren't human. I'll be honest, this suggestion is beyond the scope of a mere computer game, I'd not expect to see it implemented.
6. Hi Kibble, usually yes, threads are closed, though on occasion threads on topics that could cause argument or have done in the past are moved to the fault vault instead. While the intent behind the suggestion was admirable, sometimes things just end up causing more trouble than it's worth. I'll be glad when 1.0 brings female Kerbals, and I use words like "crewed" personally, and It'd be nice if such threads as amorymeltzer's were not so polarizing of opinion in this community. Maybe later...
7. The only real difference is how Kerbals orient themselves to the plane of the camera, while docking mode is absolute in space
8. The few past attempts to coax vBulletin into displaying a theme or style ended in tears and lost Kerbals, some things are best left alone in the "do not touch" corner. But, the forums are mean to be migrated to better software some time after 1.0, which should also mean sane theme support
9. Some of us can't run the Unity editor, not very well anyway as it doesn't like Wine, so if it were possible to use Blender to do those things it'd be very handy.
10. This usually occurs because there is a zero length craft or save file in the folder, or the VAB or SPH folders are missing. Please look inside your faulty save folder and make sure there is a persistent.sfs, a SPH folder containing craft files, and a VAB folder containing craft files, and that none of these files are empty. If your persistent.sfs is empty you can copy your quicksave (if any) and rename it persistent.sfs If a craft file is zero length it will need to be removed, if none of the files are zero length then one may be corrupted, by removing the files one at a time and trying to load the save you should be able to find it.
11. Just how quickly can a real rocket engine be gimballed anyway? I bet it's pretty fast.
12. Gets blasted into space. Inserts (eventually) world peace.
13. Hmm, I wonder who that may be? How about we get a shout out from The Jedi Master now he's back?
14. I don't know actually, but the persistent.sfs has a line near the top "Mode = SCIENCE", if you change that to "Mode = CAREER" it may turn your install inside out, so back up your saves first
15. If you're using the Steam install, you'll likely find your saves in a hidden folder in C:\username\application data\Kerbal Space Program\ or similar, though they should be accessible from within the game. If they are gone you may be able to recover them with an undelete program, but as it's been some time your chances are slim. As to why your saves were deleted to begin with I have no idea, Steam should leave savegames alone when games are uninstalled or updated, though if they were incompatible with an update of KSP you would have been notified and given the option to delete them or leave them, but you'd still not be able to load them.
16. This is really simple...

Is it cheating if...?

I exploit x to win against others. Anything else.

Yes No

If you're playing for yourself, nothing that you do differently to other players is cheating, doesn't matter if it's using addons, the debug menu, your own part.cfg's or anything else, you should be enjoying your game your way and if you aren't then you need to re-evaluate what you're doing. If you're in competition with other players and you exploit gaps in the rules, deliberately misinterpret the rules, ignore the rules and compete contrary to the spirit of the rules which the other players are operating under, you're a cheater. /thread
17. There doesn't look to be anything obvious in your logs, just this line: This may be due to an older save that became corrupted, and as Steam installs on Windows place their saves in C\:users\application data\... this won't be effected by a reinstall. I suggest finding the saves and checking for missing folders and zero length files, or just move the lot out and use Steam to replace the Scenario and Tutorial folders. I also suggest not using -force-opengl or -force-d3d11 as neither of these are particularly well supported even by Unity3D.
18. Yes, a Unity3D update broke anti-aliasing on the proprietary Linux and OSX graphics drivers, though it's fine with the open source Linux driver that's no help for Mac owners. Also, the new PPFX edge highlighting doesn't work properly on non Nvidia hardware, this is a fault or oversight by the Unity3D plugin developer. Please disable anti-aliasing and PPFX in your Settings and restart KSP, if a Unity3D update fixes these issues before 1.0 it'll likely be used, otherwise both anti-aliasing and edge highlighting will be of by default on these platforms with the note that here be dragons. Anti-aliasing should already be off by default when AMD drivers are detected, as it's been a problem for some time.
19. I buy a discounted PC game. The next poster has £50
20. We'll still need the logs to be able to tell any more, there's a KSP.log in the main game folder and an output_log.txt in the KSP_Data folder, you can upload their contents to pastebin.com. Do you get any flame effects on an unmodded install?
21. (Looks at site) Oh dear... That looks very pie-in-the-sky, I expect it's really just a few people (or maybe only one) with big ideas but completely detached from reality in regards to realising those ideas. Probably not a deliberate scam per se, but if you never wanted to see your money again or any results from actually donating it's just the ticket. It's also too idealogical for the KSP forums, sorry guys, you need to tune up your cattle excrement detectors. I have to close this one. Had some more time to think on this one (sleep is good), it wasn't causing a problem so I'm reopening it, the rules on politics are meant to prevent the flamewars we used to get, not to stifle speech.
22. Welcome back Jedi Master, I wondered what had happened to you, I'm looking forwards to seeing new posts from you
23. That tutorial is broken, sorry, the fuel lines are missing because fuel lines were changed for .90, the tutorials are being fixed up for 1.0 though
