  1. Sometimes I'll click on the stars if I remember, but they usually go forgotten :/
  2. Don't close your eyes... Don't go to sleep... Don't turn your back... Also, hi guys I guess Vexx.
  3. Always worked for me, as long as you install Ubuntu or any version of Linux second, as Windows does not play nice.
  4. Try moving the mouse to the top of the screen so the map filters drop down, click them to turn them on and off, your craft is likely in one of those filters
  5. AA is broken in Unity for both AMD and Nvidia, I think it's working on Intel chipsets though. AA can still be forced system wide or on a per-game basis via the graphics cards own settings however
  6. Yep, as they are in essence drifting downhill, if the runway was dead on the equator they'd drift East. That's why rovers on the pad drift towards the VAB, of course it's a slight slope in that direction as far as gravity is concerned
  7. Another one of these? Blimey, maybe I should merge it with the last ten. Nah I'll move it to the Space Lounge for now
  8. This is going onto conspiracy theory territory, while no longer expressly forbidden if anyone does start to seriously claim the Moon landings were faked this thread will be closed. As it is it's also getting close to 2.2B: Discussions of a political, ideological or religious nature; so try to keep away from that, thanks
  9. Hi DatZimbie, don't minimise KSP while it loads, use Alt+enter to go to window mode instead so you don't break it
  10. It really has to be that cone shape, it allows for a wide and flat base which provides a lot of drag, essential when slowing down from orbital speeds, and that base actually helps prevent overheating as some of the air acts like a buffer. The tapering cone shape is also necessary to prevent overheating of the much more vulnerable walls of he capsule, as the hot gas is deflected out far enough that it can't get back in to the pods angled walls, straight walls would be hit by the superheated air and require a lot of thermal shielding to protect. Having that cone saves a lot of mass on heat tiles.
  11. Happy birthday SlenderFan
  12. The drift is because there's no real friction and the KSC is a flat surface on a sphere, any point away from the exact center will feel a gravitational pull towards the center, simple
  13. Okay so this is deeper, and I may have found it... This is what's in your settings.cfg, it should say Space, can you try deleting your settings.cfg to reset any changes that were made to it please?
  14. If this was a Wikipedia page it'd be locked by now, I suggest you try again, and please read the challenge guidelines Closing!
  15. Hi Kubaf16, just hold the modifier key, Alt on Windows, and click the parts you want to duplicate
  16. Actually this is quite important and not harmless, and can cause a wide range of strange problems when playing KSP, though it cannot damage the game or your system. If KSP is minimised during load it will lose the lock on the graphics card, once this occurs it cannot get it back. To avoid this you can allow KSP to finish loading or use Alt+Enter to switch to Windowed mode where this problem does not occur, allowing you to then use other programs with KSP in the background. It's a common issue with DirectX and fullscreen games, but most people don't notice it and it varies from game to game.
  17. It's hard to keep politics out of discussions like this, I understand that guys, but try to talk about the technology rather than the people who don't know any better, thanks
  18. This is just really strange Cybindis, if you press alt and F2 you can open the debug log to see if there are any errors, alt and F12 will open the options, and one of those shows any input locks that are in effect. There will be one lock from having clicked the "show input locks" button, and maybe another from what ever is causing this. Can you also post your settings.cfg and your most recent output_log.txt please
  19. Urgh, it'd just cause arguments over how they should work in a game opposed to how they really work, and trigger countless bug reports. For a simulator fine, you want this, for a game where players don't want to be punished by some little known effect that leaves their craft spinning uncontrollably, no, you don't want this. Also, serious necro guys, not cool.
  20. Hmm, no one answered? Can't have that! I don't see the cause in the pics and the log wont show for me, can you make a really basic craft (pod, SRB, nothing else) and try that please? Make sure your mouse pointer isn't over the stage list just in case
