  1. I think I'll have to remove that installer script from my thread, it's pretty old and I never needed it, KSP just worked for me. Unity is already multi-cpu aware in a way, and can offload things like sounds and input to other cores, the big problem is that it can't split the physics across the cores. And the physics is the number one, big ticket item when it comes to KSP performance. Graphics are number two, but unless you are using the AMD drivers you should be okay
  2. It's a nose mounted droptank and spaceplane combination, launched vertically from the pad
  3. There's options in Windows to allow programs to be in front of the taskbar, and even to hide it I suggest a letter writing campaign to Microsoft to stop the taskbar from commandeering the screen real estate by default!
  4. If the engine is too powerful you can right click it and reduce the thrust limiter
  5. Nope, I don't suck. A lithic based life form?
  6. This is pretty misleading and I don't think Hatbat would appreciate it either. I'll fix it.
  7. But will it actually run on the ground so it can take off? The precooler seems to rely on having a large amount of air available to feed the saber engine, not a problem when it's in flight but at zero airspeed...
  8. Ffffppppffffpppfpfffppppfpfffppfffffpppffffpppt Well, that's what it sounds like to me anyway.
  9. Kerbals on EVA and flying will align to the camera Unless you turn it off in the settings.cfg that is.... Hidden features!
  10. Local police have had their toilet stolen. They have nothing to go on....
  11. A lot of what made old movies great was the suspense they engendered in the viewer, they couldn't rely on special effects and action scenes so they had to be clever. Take the original Alien, very tense, very scary, can you think of a modern movie that makes your skin crawl in quite that way? I can't.
  12. I have a few abandoned spaceplanes thanks to FAR, when I find that no, they cannot slow down in the atmosphere and land at a sensible non-lethal speed I move the crew over to other craft that (I hope) can
  13. Agreed, and where do you stop? 10m? 15m? Part of the fun is managing with what you've got, which is why I personally find most games get less interesting as you get further through them and better equipment becomes available. It's more fun to take on a Deadric ruin in iron armour than in ebony for example
  14. Oh dear those threads are really old, some date back to 2013, I think we can stand to have a new one on this subject by now
  15. Hi caba111, is that the full log? I don't see a crash. Can you try updating your graphics drivers, restarting the PC and trying KSP again please?
  16. You can delete the gamedata\squad folder then verify the game cache in the Steam launcher Properties\Local files\Verify integrity
  17. I think you need this, Keptins basic aircraft design, with pics! You can find a lot more info to help you here on the drawing board. Those and many more can be found in the tutorials section
  18. You should be able to share the dropbox link publicly.
  19. Filedropper works too, or mediafire, or Mega, lots of options if you look
  20. Linux user for many years here, I rarely need the terminal and that is usually only for the odd command line only program I use (like Toc2Cue), not going back to Windows, I cannot be dealing with virus and malware rubbish anymore or the endless pain of updating individual programs. Wine is good for nearly everything I play, anything else usually has a Linux build these days
  21. There's a 1000 word limit though, it might not fit.
  22. If you told us what went wrong and what trouble you had, we'd be able to help....
  23. Okay, the craft file will be in the "Kerbal Space Program\Saves\Yoursave\Ships\SPH" folder You can put the contents on most text paste sites, or the whole file on dropbox.
