  1. What's your language set to Psykikk? If it's not US or UK English you could have a mangled settings.cfg, with , and . transposed. This can cause the giant parts issue you mentioned. Delete the settings.cfg and start KSP with "LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86_64" and see what happens
  2. The old thread. I used to call this daisy chaining, never knew the term asparagus when I started playing KSP, but yeah the term pre-dates the game by a fair bit.
  3. You want Ed Keith's Innovative Asparagus Stalk Booster concept, the oldest source of which that we know of is Tom Logsdons Orbital Mechanics, Theory and Applications.
  4. Can't find any binaries via googling, I think we need to build from source.
  5. Simple, you check the age of the thread first, then either post or newthread and link, it's not rocket science I better close this now, it's been necro'ed enough.
  6. We have a Curse thread iDan122, where your previous posts were moved, we don't need another sorry.
  7. I'm sorry but you need to take a look at the challenge submission guide apex-prey, this challenge is not really within the capabilities of the game, let alone player skill :/ I better close this.
  8. paulkoan, simplescreenrecorder is about the easiest but yeah, you'll have to mess with Pulse, or try the open broadcaster system, it's also free and open source, and can record as well as stream
  9. Yes, that's it, it's a set of memory offsets that make the 64bit version of KSP for Linux handle lots of addons better, the installer script by voidi does this for you though
  10. Must be due to excessive textures, there's a memory fix for the 64bit Linux version, have you tried that yet? If not then back up your binary and give it a go
  11. You have a ton of addons though, it's not going to be easy figuring out which one is doing this, a stock install works though right?
  12. Welcome to the community NightStriker70 Try using left shift to throttle up your craft, also check your staging, the engine should be in the bottom stage. Have fun and fly safe!
  13. Another one of these? Guys, these go in Games, moving!
  14. It may be something to do with this as it's just before the nullrefs:
  15. Just tried "./KSP.x86 -popupwindow" in Linux and it works, borderless windows are a go, but I can't move the thing, dragging it fails :/
  16. Guys please try to keep it civil, Flyfunner has two posts to his name so can be given a bit of leeway as he's new here, Starwaster please keep that in mind. Oh and Flyfunner, thanks for this: But do please take a little more care with your posts so as to avoid any problems
  17. I'd start a new community base somewhere, we'd all be able to add to it with no concern for lag as it grew, the only limit will be room on the ground for all our craft
  18. You do know you can just uninstall kde-plasma-desktop, kde-workspace and kde-baseapps in future yeah?
  19. Maybe this will help with borderless windows in KDE? Or if you don't mind getting your hands dirty running KSP through another X window you could modify the stuff here, I think X has a borderless flag.
  20. It should be fine as long as it can export in a format that Unity can load, more info here
  21. This is more of a gameplay question I think :/
  22. The number shows what version that craft was made in, KSP does a basic check as if it loads an old craft there can be issues with parts, if a craft can load though then all is good A suggestion like this is something so minor though that I can honestly say you should not expect to see it implemented, there's just not enough to be gained and the change could render ALL previous craft files unusable. That'd be bad.
  23. Everyone's gotta wait for news of updates, that's just the way it is.
  24. Oh, yeah I better close this as a duplicate.
