Guys, the open source drivers are total garbage when it comes to KSP, you have to use the proprietary drivers not only for reasonable performance but also just to get the game to work in most cases. Also, Wine is fine, KSP in Wine runs a bit faster than native KSP, on a par with Windows 7, so if Wine is what you want to use that's perfectly okay, but do be aware that Squad and Unity do not support Wine.

Oh yeah, if you run KSP in Wine it won't see the system fonts as it'll look in .wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts instead, this is where winetricks puts the fonts as well.

To be a meme, the image needs to be in wide circulation, most so-called meme's are one-off images with no real meaning or recognition by the wider internet community. In other words, a pic with some text just doesn't cut it, it has to spread and be widely known for it to really be a meme. Also meme's are horrible little things, moving to a more suitable forum......

Hmm, well maybe you need to reboot? They should work, try .fonts instead. As for performance, yeah, KSP for Linux is a bit slower, nothing we can do about that yet sorry.

Try quicksaving and quickloading, it sometimes solves it for me, but when i have a bad craft I usually undock it and trash it.

I don't suppose a joystick or gamepad is preventing you from steering is it? What happens when you delete your settings.cfg and then start KSP?

You should have the Gamedata folder in the OSX version if your copy is up to date and not the demo. All the Squad parts are in there.

These threads never last long simply because they are so frequently posted, I think it's best that this thread is closed and Petumies is allowed to continue working on his addon without the negativity.

You will AustralianFries, as it's by original purchase date which is still held by Squad on the store account, not transfer date to Steam. Expansions are a possibility but we'll have to wait and see if they really do happen, Squad might just keep working on the main game. Either way we win, we'll get more KSP to enjoy

Yes it would work but you would have to watch it the whole way down or it will be removed as debris. And you would want a probe so it is easier to locate. You could not just drop it though, you would have to fire it behind you with enough force that it would have a low enough periapsis, or fit it with it's own engines

Yes I know, and the devs are very unlikely to go this route, so I apologize to everyone who wants career to be stock only as it's unlikely to be. It's a single player game, you only cheat yourself, if you can even call it cheating, the idea behind all games is to have fun and if you want to go to Moho with a modded craft then great, have fun flying there. If you want to later try it stock then also great, it's a challenge either way
