  1. I messed with Better Looking Oceans to make Eve's ocean actually purple, and did some joyriding with this OP little spaceplane. Since the replacement texture is very blue, it fights against the purple tint.
  2. It's about time I drop a bomb in GEP (since its full release). Suddenly... alien megastructure in Low Epona Orbit. Epona is described as a fountain of suspense over a potential cradle of life. Evidently, someone has long ago assumed the role of the hen watching its egg(s).
  3. Super modded. Oh boy... It's very safe to prune parts, if you know what you're doing/if you know how the models and textures are connected. A given texture file may be used by bunches of parts, not necessarily all in one place.
  4. @Stone Blue I don't feel too strongly about the frequent KSP updates, and it's a good thing when wise modders stand back and wait for Squad's dust storm of updates to die down...but the climate of the forum has changed...Or my eyes have opened to it in the short time since I became a mod-maker. And it's not a pretty sight that I see, especially when you add the chaos concerning Take Two and Making History, and a certain other factor... What I'm going to do... will not be shared here. It may draw attention I don't need. No, there hasn't been a patch greater than 5. But we will see. This time around.
  5. Some parts are duplicate yet with subtle differences, like cockpits. Don't worry about being spammed by them. OPT Legacy adds two Avatar Valkyrie style K cockpits which are nearly identical, and a short variant of a 2.5m one. It adds 2 Mk2 cockpits and copies of the aerodynamic RCS which use LFO whereas you only have the MonoPropellant option. However, and yo could consider this spam, the entire 'Stail' class was once the current J class, and the 'Humpback' and 'Chimera' classes resemble the current K class. You don't need OPT Legacy.... But OPT Legacy needs OPT Reconfig. If you do install OPT Legacy, you get more options for everything, really, and engines that work much better on planets other than Kerbin and Laythe. If you get problems, feel free to uninstall it. Yes. OPT Reconfig answers the players' cries for OPT to cease being wildly OP. If you don't use anything else that requires Firespitter, yes you can remove Firespitter.
  6. Problem? Also, the cargo bay part tends to need to have an animation, afaik. That's exactly how I interpret it, and I figure the unit of lookupRadius is meters. (I've never installed a ruler mod and trial&error'd it to confirm.) For whatever reason, OPT's cargo bays and hollow bays mostly tend to not work in spite of this and I've fought a losing battle with that code (namely, messing with DeployModuleIndex and closedPosition... notice that in @blowfish quote, both keys have 0 for their value. As for me I stopped caring and leave whatever value there is/was. I barely play anymore so I haven't had fresh cause to worry about it.), or there's a flaw in the part models that breaks the module regardless of its settings.
  7. // The cargo module needs to look like this, featuring the nodeInnerxxIDs MODULE { name = ModuleCargoBay DeployModuleIndex = 0 closedPosition = 1 lookupRadius = 3.5 nodeOuterForeID = top nodeOuterAftID = bottom nodeInnerAftID = bottom2 nodeInnerForeID = top2 } // The lines for attach nodes need to look like this. The suffix (after stack_) is the nodeID to use node_stack_top = 0.0, 2.995, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 5 node_stack_bottom = 0.0, -2.995, 0.0, 0.0, -1.0, 0.0, 5 node_stack_top2 = 0.0, 2.99, 0.0, 0.0, -1.0, 0.0, 2 node_stack_bottom2 = 0.0, -2.99, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 2 // When you add the inner attach nodes, be sure to offset them into the part just a little (the vector3, first set of 3-way coordinates) // This offset is so the player easier avoids accidentally attaching to another part via the inner node which breaks the shielding // Be sure to invert the orientation of the inner attach nodes (the second vector3) so that they can point to each other when KSP calculates the volume of the cargo shield // The 7th digit is the size of the green ball atach node indicator. Valid values (that we can see) go up to 5, I think
  8. It's possible. Sounds like a typical business practice. Delete MainEngines_DarkDrive.cfg. I use that engine sparingly enough that I share your sentiment entirely. Expect any craft in-flight with these changes to cause a problem or to quietly vanish afterward. The resource definitions are in this file and their absence will cause nulls.
  9. The talk of recompiling Kopernicus and breaking its version lock personally bothers me. KSP 1.4.4 is not worthy of the Kopernicus dev's time, from what I've seen. And with 1.4.5 so near, why bother testing now/anymore, right?
  10. It requires B9. And it replaces Firespitter only within OPT. It will not affect other mods.
  11. The GPU is largely irrelevant to KSP so bragging rights like that mean nothing. Due to being a physics sim, KSP is heavily CPU-biased and likely, the visual mods need to be rewritten by fresh modders who're up to the task of creating and maintaining shaders. There's your problem. Kopernicus is not available for this version. See above quote. Yes. MKS resources appear everywhere on their own.
  12. Do you both have my mod, OPT Reconfig? It makes adding fuel options to OPT far easier. Nertea's Cryogenic Engines is supported so LH2 and LH2O are already available, and you can study my configs to add your own fuel options. But if you use Pathfinder by Angel-125 with OPT Reconfig, you get to use its OmniStorage with OPT and will already have access to every installed resource to fill OPT tanks with.
  13. I finally (and very easily) did that thing that Mk2 Stockalike Expansion does, but using B9 Part Switch and to all of the stock tank parts (including the Big S wings). And especially, I did this. My Skylon plane needs this so badly... I should raise the heat cap on it too, maybe, actually.
  14. @AmpCat Whatever is going on inside Squad is showing pretty clearly with the string of frequent, half-baked KSP releases. 1.4.1 came 2 weeks after 1.4.0; 1.4.2 had a few major bugs of its own; 1.4.4 breaks Kerbal Konstructs and honestly has nothing in it that's worthwhile for players to grab it for; 1.4.5 is also coming very fast and contains features that were forgotten in, or couldn't be finished in time for 1.4.4, meaning 1.4.4 was also a serious rush job. I'd say the mod-makers are getting fed up with this and with unknowing players coming and harassing them for updates every single KSP release.
  15. MKS does physical lodes. Pathfinder does not spawn them, but instead, spawns a waypoint marker over the location and only if you get lucky while driving around with Pathfinder's companion, the Buffalo rover, and using the prospector.
  16. @123nick This mod is technically that 3rd party update. OPT is simply a parts pack, with no plugin inside so technically it will always work. But officially I use 1.4.3 and will not actually support 1.4.4, and possibly not 1.4.5 either. Also, I currently don't plan to fix/remake existing models. I have my reasons for not taking over OPT directly/completely.
  17. OPT Reconfig release 1.2.2 This release is actually intact unlike the others. I swear. WBI config Added Dark Goo generator to DocSci templates, available to any lab that uses WBI lab templates Added Dark Goo generator to OmniConverters Added Battery tank option to parallel the one provided by B9PS Added OmniStorage to all parts (add and balance all the resources you like in one part!) Fixed missing options in H + Humpback cabins Fixed plumes (again?) in J-92 Nebula engine Fixed bulkhead profile in HAE-02 Mk2 engine (Re)added Science Box storage for Dark Goo OPT Legacy release 1.1.1 Fixed RCS in Legacy K cockpits Renamed 2.5m ILS cockpit to fix repeat part name issue and part icon spam in the tech tree Fixed bulkhead profile in WarpJet SAGE engine Fixed 2.5m ISP cockpit problem (now there's a new/returning part: the ISP Cockpit Legacy) Added missing surface attach for Stail Fairing Monopropellant Tank :: DOWNLOAD RECONFIG :: :: DOWNLOAD LEGACY ::
  18. OPT Legacy release 1.1.1 Fixed RCS in Legacy K cockpits Renamed 2.5m ILS cockpit to fix repeat part name issue and part icon spam in the tech tree Fixed bulkhead profile in WarpJet SAGE engine Fixed 2.5m ISP cockpit problem (now there's a new/returning part: the ISP Cockpit Legacy) Added missing surface attach for Stail Fairing Monopropellant Tank :: DOWNLOAD ::
  19. @Chase842 I'll see about providing OmniStorage. That automatically provides tankage for all installed resources and lets you add all you want and balance them with intuitive sliders.
  20. @Apaseall I will test cargo drag stuff later this week maybe. Your wheel situation sounds like a kraken or a very weak joint between where your wheels are and the heaviest part. Right now I can agree with you that there's nothing that can be done by me about cargo bays and OPT's source. Sorry, man. I think I finally have enough, apart from that, for a small OPT Legacy release. Right now I'm working on getting the Dark Science production in OPT labs to persist under WBI. @Magnavox I'll get on that and include it in the update(s) I'll release in a while.
  21. What you're looking for is exactly why I made this other mod...
