  1. I'm exploring the sunflare settings right now. Once I figure how and if the settings work I'll explain.
  2. You're missing the Community Resource Pack (CRP). GPP has configs for the distributions of many resources but CRP is the library for them. Without it, the distributions are of nothing, therefore there are errors. I will add tis to the documentation(s).
  3. Sunflares don't respond to Sigma Dimensions so they'll vanish into an upsized Sun/Ciro.
  4. Indeed, GPP's Scatterer comes with a none-too-amazing aftermarket sunflare........ but if you check out @Galileo's signature... You'll get to a rainbow of epic alternatives like my assortment of skyboxes.
  5. I'm only a beginner at planet creation but I can say that you'll need to learn some PQSMods. Those add fine details of all sorts and cure the pixelation problem. Here are some tutorials with which to get your feet wet.
  6. Try this. SETI is a collection of parts and utility mods, including a greenhouse.
  7. Never think that. Especially when CKAN is involved. There's always one more in the wild, hiding like top game from even the best trained predator. There is always one that refuses to appear on CKAN.
  8. Oh, okay. I already encountered a case of downloads from the wrong place so I'm very wary. As you were, then.
  9. But... but... why??? D: This should not still be happening. If you are downloading through a green Clone or Download button, please don't. That's only to be used if you are a developer looking to contribute or improve on some aspect of a developer skill, or if you are on the dev team and want an offline copy and don't have GitHub installed. It's not the "Download and have fun" button. Please only download from https://github.com/Galileo88/Galileos-Planet-Pack/releases
  10. @New Horizons I can't give tips for playing in an upscaled system but I can tell you that the high gravity of Gael's immediate neighbors are intentional. GPP does not try to be very familiar with Stock and Stockalike otherwise it would be just another solar system mod and wouldn't appeal as much to players who are tired of Kerbin and the stock planets at any scale. Niven is Venus-like (yellow, very warm, bone-dry) but also Mars-like (very thin, very calm atmosphere, has flats, craters and fissures and only 0.5g). The other Mars-like planet is Gratian (after Tellumo). It's actually red, has sandstorms and ice caps but in its stats it highly compares to Laythe. The best fit (although it's rather far away) is Augustus, moon of Otho and another yellow body but which compares better with Duna than Niven does). If you can't handle upscaled GPP then you may not know your mods very well. Other forum members are happily playing 10x GPP right now, such as @MaxL_1023 and @RocketPCGaming
  11. @CaptKordite Your answer might be here: That said, it'd be painful to imagine that overlay staying, even with the texts erased. Where is that skybox from/which one is it? I don't recognize that part of it.
  12. Waypoint's update is tiny. It should be no concern at all.
  13. @Galileo GPP's setup only adds or changes icons. It's no problem to update then reapply our stuff on top of it. @DarkFighter I'm thinking of making a mission report thread as well. I'm sure some folks would like to kerbalize for my sci-fi quest.
  14. @DarkFighter Check my signature. There's a fair number to choose from as well as that one.
  15. The Science Van grew, coming to have 4 Juno engines for forward and reverse drive. That old kerb Bob drove it across the sea and onto the mainland to explore and do science but it was discovered upon leaving the water that 1/3 of the total dV that was thought to be there is not; the tanks having returned to containing LFO and not LF alone. At the end of the day... the Leapfrog family of flying science farmer vessels emerged, starting with 0, a probe that failed to make high altitude, then Leapfrog 1, a taller, manned version able to make 85km going straight up. Bob flew it once simply for his ability to reset the materials bay and the goo. Jebediah piloted for him from within KSC... But then he got his turn to escape the confines of the sky again. His bones creaked with glee at the opportunity to step outside drift around the ship. Both fellows were captivated by the familiar thrill of going way up and coming back down. The two of them also forgot to activate the magnetometer in space and get that science...... * GPP with Texture Replacer makes the orange-suits into (un)retired seniors.
  16. @Mycroft I have no clear need for KIS and KAS unfortunately, except only for some of the fashionable KIS parts for kerbals to wear. I do see potential for use of its EVA struts for strengthening station module connections and the pipes for moving fuel between crafts that can't be docked together. But I haven't used those in a long time so I'm on the fence about installing them. I might need them for my new OPT station and flagship.
  17. @Tyko The interface style for the planet info pictures is from Elite: Dangerous. You won't find it in KSP. We're getting to something like that actually. It will come very soon. @The-Doctor That skybox is from EVE Online. You can get it and others through my signature.
  18. You have a serious point. I got carried away with my idea and have already threatened this mod's concept. Please disregard my suggestion(s) about Ore @-MM-
  19. @Mycroft I wondered why you stopped posting screenshots of OPT spaceplanes. I just started a science game and I intend to grow a fleet of OPT vehicles.
  20. @Tyko I had surface bases in mind, indeed. It sounds good to me alright to use Ore to dampen the normal EC demand when you're just starting out colonizing Mun or Minmus and then you end up on their night sides. In orbit Ore can still be useful. It's a matter of how low-tech your station is and how long it's on the dark side of whatever it's orbiting. Yea, Ore catalysis in orbit would be virtually useless beyond Duna and mass-efficiency does take a nose dive. It ultimately depends on how efficient the OP decides to make it.
  21. I'm about to try out this mod for myself. It goes well towards my tendency for nuclear reactors and high EC handling, and also provides a gameplay feature that I've hoped for. @doktorstick Does fuel priority work with these LS parts then? Have you tried it? Otherwise, try locking the command pod's supply and have a radial tank attached to use as buffer when you stage, then unlock the command pod's supply. @-MM- @MatterBeam @Tyko I think I have an idea to share with you lot. For the request of giving Ore a purpose here how about a recycler part that catalyzes Ore to generate LS; For a middleground between loads of batteries and loads of 2.5m converters for tankage: add LS capacity to stock Ore tanks, inline batteries or certain small or medium fuel tanks, or make parts like them with the CLLS symbol. Maybe the large fuel cell array part can be the small(est) recycler... but to keep some challenge don't add recycler functionality to crew parts. Leave the option open for players to forget or decline to install a recycler.
  22. @String Witch I see them! Thanks for noticing. They shall be dealt with.
  23. @Steven Mading That exact phrase is not in the documentation but you will find plenty information on the GitHub wiki. Thalia's page there does mention a far-reaching "environmental hazard" which is exactly what you're facing. We're also working on a Kopernicus wiki which will be far more detailed and have more and improved imagery.
  24. My science-mode game has finally begun. After using KSP so long just to design or develop things I'm finally getting to play as just another player. I gave myself 500 out the gate and built the Science Van.
