  1. @eloquentJane I know exactly where I want to go with this tank mod and the roadmap includes Mk3 tanks too. Visible texture switching would be very nice to have but I can do without it. I'll reveal that they are not meant to carry propellants.
  2. Today I did like any beginner modder should and I started modding tanks! I've learned to apply FS and IFS fuel switch as I want, but since I don't know Unity it will be some time before I can do IFS texture switching. (Ignore that the custom resource selections are not in these ones as shown by KER.)

  4. @astroheiko Tellumo 6, eh? Very interesting....But it's almost like Goliath knows all about Thalia, wanting you to land at its moon but not to land at Thalia itself.
  5. @eddiew Make sure to set the Min slider under Terrain Options to 0m. It's still a little high at 1600m. There are other planets naughty in that way like Gratian so watch out for more of this issue.
  6. This morning I taught myself to apply both Firespitter fuel switch and Interstellar Texture Switch to stock parts (Mk2 fuel tanks) copied out to another folder. I have what I believe is a lovely idea which will ultimately and fashionably integrate with (all of) the life support mods. I've developed some custom textures for them following the format of the stock parts' associated DDS so I can have 2 or 3 tanks referencing the same texture file, keeping down the number of texture files, but my altered parts only recognize the stock texture and I would like to have a Mk2 quarter size among them for the "simpler" of LS mods like Snacks! and Closed Loop Life Support. I have not learned Unity yet so I have no power to even hack at the mu files myself. If it's as simple as fixing how I use the model node let me know since everything else works, or do I need to ask someone to make copies of the models that will natively recognize an array of textures?   7. @docthaspok That's a serious piece of work you got there. With all those Mk2 RCS parts I think this craft was inspired by another game, namely Elite: Dangerous. You forgot to mention Quiztech Aerospace. I recognize that Mk2 linear aerospike. I'm so tempted to reinstall that mod for just that engine and the air RCS since Mk2 Expansion really has your/my back for parts.
  8. A lot... Quite a lot. The "unit of measurement" is in boats. For all 27 worlds and the star, the Karbonite.cfg is 13KB tall.
  9. Okay. Very cool. On a similar note I've done boatloads with Karbonite and Karborundum for Galileo's planets. And I've tweaked a few engines as well for it and for personal fun.
  10. Helium. Why not Metallic Hydrogen? ;D Sounds epic. I always thought Helium was rather inert. Then again, so is Xenon and that's a fuel too...

  12. Hey @StarCrusher96. I happened to peek at the current download and thought about your Antimatter config. You may want to check it over (unless you've done so already) as it may conflict with similar in KSPI-E. Loving the progress and pics of course, btw.
  13. @Motokid600 I could have mentioned that here, yes. The series is great. I particularly like when the poster came up with in-story lore for how Gael and her moons got their names, like from an actual Gael Kerman among the KSC's roster, someone couldn't be bothered to give an iota about something, and someone went overboard and wanted to name Ceti, Tau Ceti V.
  14. Howdy @Perringo. I've been tempted only recently to put Karborundum somewhere within Gael's SOI, but no, you won't find any in your back yard. Rest assured, it is present. There are four bodies to check at for it, but I won't spoil.
  15. The Alternate Ciro cfg applies the tiniest of changes and cannot break anyone's game. It did not for me. Perhaps something interfered with Kopernicus or ModularFlightIntegrator within GameData.
  16. @Drew Kerman There's a patch but it only applies an antenna condition to one command pod in NF Spacecraft. Maybe something can be done with Nertea's Radioactive Decay mod (whose thread may also have been deleted).
  17. I'd advise against setting up a binary system while anything is in orbit of the main body or its partner. I've met with a few... @CatastrophicFailure 's Not to mention, the binaries' mass ratio (forget their gravity ratio) needs to be 5:1 / 1:5 or better or there's no real point to it. @DarkFighter Depending on the kind of game you want: Just want to have more fun within Gael' SOI, put Rald in Mun's orbit. Want to make it more practical to do a lot of stuff around but not on Tellumo, put Rald there. The latter is surely at least a good part of why @eddiew did so...that and Tellumo sings a siren's song in his general direction. There's no point putting that tiny world in its own orbit far from any of the already many and various parent worlds in GPP.
  18. [ mode ] Did my Ceti probe right (actually captured around Ceti). I got a good deal of science points, taking a page out of @Norcalplanner's book with this and the identical Iota probe but I wasted some on a node that had no parts in it and wasn't vital. Now I'm < 1 point short of unlocking another node with a lot of parts I want. Such include the klaw so I could retrieve and recover the probes (and the lander that I have sitting in Gael's volcano).

  21. Well as @Galileo said, something else was at work in your install. If you can, make a list of the mods you removed. This would be useful to both Galileo and @blackrack who makes Scatterer.
  22. @quarrion @Luovahulluus That's a fact of life, like the Kraken. Once the ocean shader is on you'll eventually find yourself under a Kickback's height in water. Switching scenes is more convenient that a reload. Enter and exit the Tracking Station, or anywhere. Good thing Tarsiss isn't the homeworld, though. That moment when I think I posted on time then I refresh and surprise! @Galileo ninja'd me/otherwise already responded.
