But none of that was within Kerbfleet science. This ship has to be Kerbfleet built and operated, which means they either have amazing tech we never heard of, or they're breaking the fourth wall. I guess the latter.

Um... I don't mean to put a damper on the hype... but @Kuzzter, until the Enterprise took off, everything done in Kerbfleet has been physically plausible. Although you make concessions for narrative concerns, game limitations have always been an integral part of the comics, from the science farming at the beginning of Duna: Ore Bust to the emergency landing in Eve: Order Zero to the "plot moving at the speed of ship" a few chapters back. There's a stable physics framework beneath all the story, and that's the KSP rules. But you openly admitted to using physics cheats on Enterprise... basically jumped the Tsiolkovsky shark in order to get a cool reference and a few cool scenes. To explain this in-universe would be assuming technology far beyond anything Kerbfleet is known to have. I mean, literally infinite fuel! How does the story continue once that bit of sufficiently advanced technology is out there? What do the characters say about engine science suddenly leaping a century into the future? Some discussion might follow.

I know @Angel-125 has thrown in a few references in Pathfinder and such.

Hm, cannons... would fire at shorter ranges because momentum is different in higher inertia, but the speed of the projectile will still carry the same momentum after multiplying by effective mass. Yes, cannons work. I did not take possession of the hill, I just changed physics. Mind if I join you? Our hill.
-
I tick inertia up a couple orders of magnitude in order to stop this nonsense.

I discard his reality in favor of one in the KSP verse. He can have his own solar system... @StupidAndy and co's Canonical Duna @ThaZeus's Universe 27.a

To tell you the truth, I'd rather cats rule it than any of you. I support the feline regime. My somewhat allied cats.
-
Alright, I'll fight on your terms: I call in an army of cats. My rice fields. (Cats are supplied with synthetic meat and vaccines to every disease and toxin I can think of. And I can think of A LOT!) I'm not sure what your other two fighters were, but I just bomb them to pieces and give the cats flame retardant.

...which I proceed to cook and eat. I then draw the attention of @RandomGuy1824's security force; they recognize all of us as intruders and blast you all to bits (I leave) I reconstruct @The Raging Sandwich, give @RandomGuy1824 his hill back, and ask for alliance with both.

General order Aleph-One: Completely and totally disregard any transient scanning contact or apparent sensor glitch if and only if it makes more narrative sense to do so... (then) Maybe the Kraken teleports to Kerbin orbit to deflect it! Maybe the Kraken dies doing so! I'm not sure if @Kuzzter is going to write Kerbin being destroyed. Then again, he might, and we might get a Duna Attacks style "Speaking from the smoldering remains of KSC" episode.

Was considering San Francisco, but I have google you know. Sauðárkrókur, Iceland. I will fight to say it's a city...

I again reassert Kerbal Space Program as the dominant default realityset for this universe, thus deleting time lords, moments, wimey balls, and such. I claim Mt. Whoopstooshort, which seems to be the name of the mountain range immediately to the West of Kerbal Space Center. My mountain... and somewhat repaired Universe#27.

So, @Cydonian Monk... thirty hours and six minutes, I'll round down the difference. You win. (plus) So what... exactly went on, there? So there was the original save, with the rockets named after elements, discovering relics from past 'verses? Then the first Crash happened, deleted all the people on the surface, and leaving the Jumble of Parts alone... I remember we got a communist world and a cockroach apocalypse. But the Boss and a bit of her team survived, as did the monks and blueprints... so we are now again starting to name probes after chemical elements and launchers after musical elements? It's called Continuum Space Program now, I can live with that... but how did the Boss survive? Does the deletion shielding extend to anyone that has ever been in orbit? I remember the Boss was shot into space against her will by the Party Boss after the Communism crash, but how did she even survive that deletion? Shouldn't a black hole wipe everything from the surface? Or only her name survived, and another Kerbal was born on the new universe, the original Boss came to an end... After that they had the Boss and Party Boss working together on Balie, but then they evacuated it... did they land and found a new program or something? And how did the monks survive? Can anyone give me a recap?

I will hold you to that by the minute! Time and date calculation courtesy of http://www.timeanddate.com. (also) With better formatting Huh. Overanalyzers, get ready to overanalyze!
-
I destroy the pacman by telling it that it's just an optical illusion. I then betray @The Raging Sandwich, nuke him into pieces, and bury him in the center of Mimas. Finally, I reassert KSP as the dominant realityset for this game, deleting Mimas, the nukes, the bits of sandwich, Saturn, and all other non-ksp artifacts. My Kerbal Space Center.

Really Really Really Tall Building
greenTurtle1134 replied to The Jedi Master's topic in Forum Games!
1472: Set up as a courtroom to get ownership of the floor back. The floor was taken from King of the Hill thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/10022-king-of-the-hill/&do=findComment&comment=2871218. Court proceedings, anyone? -
I dispute this claim of ownership in Floor 1472 in the court case Turtle and Sandwich v. Tanovar (gee, was that a weird name) http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/34911-really-really-really-tall-building/&do=findComment&comment=2871222. My court proceedings. Also I start selling lemonade again.

Impressive knowledge of chemistry. Did you look those stats up, or do you just know em off the top of the head? Either way - yes, the stuff's useless as rocket fuel.
-
And I thought I was overanalyzing this too much... Now, the next thing to do is to mod a KSP engine to run on Acen/LOX. Anyone want to produce numbers for the exhaust velocity, chamber pressure, flame temp, and such?
-
You forgot a nitrogen! Nitrous oxide (N2O) would provide the necessary nitrogen, and has been known to be usable as a rocket oxidizer. We need carbon, so I'll just throw in some methane (CH4). There will be excess molecular hydrogen, as in your example. We will have to accept this, or burn it with atmospheric oxygen to add thrust. Hey, they did say it was a jet engine, right? Now to balance the equation! (rolls up sleeves) We need a oxygen/nitrogen ratio of one oxygen to two nitrogen because nitrous oxide is our only source of these elements. This means two HCN to each CO because HCN has one nitrogen and CO has one oxygen. 2HCN + CO... 2 hydrogen 3 carbon 1 oxygen 2 nitrogen. One oxygen two nitrogen is nitrous oxide, three carbon means three methane... It's probably more plausible with propane (C3H8) because that's already enough carbon. Then we have 6 hydrogen left... that's it! So we are left with: N2O + C3H8 = 2HCN + CO + 3H2 ...sure, that's plausible.

Can anyone think of a combustion reaction that produces such products?

I defuse the nuke midair (I have experience in this field) and turn said hill into a thermonuclear missile launch silo. Gah. I'm sure I have a biological reconstructor somewhere in here...
