  1. Clearly it's based from Miku's Leek Meanwhile... So... I thought I'm gonna make an improved version of my Surveyor Truck by adding a passenger cabin, just in case the crew feels lonely during long driving (And Jeb seems approved it ) It still retains all the science experiment capabilities from previous version (With modified electrical source), making it a great vehicle for doing science across multiple biome in a compact package Press 1 and... Deploy! Let's do some science here... And here... WHAT THE HELL!!!?? I don't know if the failure is in my design, in whatever the experiment being conducted or the Kraken is passing by
  2. I built a small Surveyor Truck. Great for collecting science and doing experiments on different biome It's equipped with internal antenna, RTGs, solar panels, fuel cells, liquid fuel tank, and batteries. Also, deploying it... ... reveals all stock science instruments (Except the space telescope, but those doesn't work on land anyway). Solar panels and RTGs generates electricity for driving/ transmitting while science experiment is being conducted. Stabilizing anchors ensures that the platform stay still in an extremely unlikely scenario that the rover is rolling by itself across different biome during experiments (That'll affect the result). Science container provides a storage for science when you don't have enough electricity to transmit all of them. Since it only fits one crew, Bob is recommended since he's able to reset science instrumens, but Jeb always find a way to snuck in during the launching
  3. It should be: Heavier resource mass per unit: more points Lighter resource mass per unit: less points Also, there shouldn't be a point for electricity, since a dead batteries weighs same compared to live ones and batteries are very very very light compared to other parts. I suggest "maximum electricity generation per second", which is the sum of all energy generation capabilities of all solar panels/ RTG, since it makes more sense and challenging to get more points by sending heavier station with more solar panels (which adds considerable mass for launch)

    KSP + Cats = ?

Well, see @Geonovast profile pic and ask how it turns out like that
  5. Nooo! This isn't our doing. We just hanging on high orbit observing those living on earth that we prefer to call "They", "Subject", "Organism" or "Living things" But the title does makes us wonder... Treat Nonhumans Better! (or, I'M VERY MAD), a.k.a. the Animal Realization Society
  6. Is it possible to create a suppressor for tank gun? How practical is it?
  7. Terraforming Mars to habitable atmosphere still leaves a lower gravity that's barely enough to retain the atmosphere, and it isn't good for human body. I can only see that the practical colony in Mars is only composed of mining stations and robotic workers, with human supervisors living in orbital stations, occasionally coming down to check them. As a side note, terraforming the atmosphere alone takes A LOT of time. You can't finish it in decades, it takes at best hundreds of years for it, and I doubt any investors in space program (especially privately owned) would be interested in investing such a long term project where they won't see the result and profit @K^2, you might be interested in this
  8. I wanna ask. If plasma is basically hot gas, does it means (in theory) plasma gun's projectile should be far more affected by wind compared to normal bullets?
  9. True The user below me has landed on one of the Joolian moons
  10. Just done some test flight lately, with plenty of crashes, and I noticed something. Whenever a Kerbal is being subjected by powerful force, their neck is the weakest point (it's almost always the first body part to get krakenified), followed by arms/legs then body. Also, they can have their head being rotated 360 degree with no ill effects
  11. I'm building a new SSTO project...
  12. Agreed, and it's very hard to advance if there's no metals since it's a vital resource for developing civilization
  13. It's funny how the original question is "why cephalopods doesn't evolve smarter like us" turns into an analysis of bronze age and it's role in civilization This is why I love this forum
  14. Well, you can use any mod that provides rocket engine, open up the parts folder, search for engine's .cfg files and mess with it as you like, including the rate of fuel consumption
  15. Well, same for me. My plane is jumping and literally somersaults (probably because of it's center of lift) before exploding into tiny little pieces I remedy this by strapping my plane to launch clamp and angle it at 5 degrees, fire up the engine, wait until it's on full thrust, and release the clamp
  16. 9/10 I'm seeing you quite often in the forum lately
  17. Because they never lived as a colony in the first place
  18. I'm doing some engine fire test: The craft is named "Phoenix", it's a very low-profile SSTO The trail of vapor cone is amazing "I see you..." There's a reason... Why... It's named... THE PHOENIX! IT BURNS IN THE BLAZE OF GLORY!!!
  19. Individually, impeller cannot withstand the airspeed where the ramjet operates and ramjet cannot operate efficiently in impeller airspeed. Since impeller is designed mostly for subsonic flight, it'll be ripped apart in ramjet airspeed while ramjet is designed only for supersonic flight. A hybrid design such as SR-71 engine used the shock cone intake adjustment (pushing it forward or backward) to shift between subsonic (where low-speed air entering the turbine) and supersonic mode (where high-speed air directly enters combustion chamber)
