  1. Wait, if it jump higher with only 1/6 gravity, should it fall slower than on earth? Meaning less force when crashing when compared if it jumps on earth?

  3. Add some reaction wheel. Turn in stability assist to stabilize the rocket. If using dummy payload didn't work, use structural beam as a frame and attach 2 rovers side by side by using symmetry mode. That way, 2 rovers on each side balances the rocket. The 2 side by side rocket/ payload is useful for asymmetrical payload Or, if the rover core is YOUR MAIN CORE, then that's the problem. My usual setup is, the rover core is the secondary core, while rocket core is the main core. Build the rocket first, with drone core as the first part, then attach the rover with the drone core as the payload. That way, your control reference is from the rocket, not the rover. As long as the rover has a drone core, it'll be controllable once it's separated from the rocket
  4. If we bring Maus tank, the heaviest tank ever built (weight 188 tons, maximum speed 20 km/h) into the moon (which has 1/6 earth's gravity), how much it's speed and performance increased?

  7. An artificial planet, an astroengineering megastructure, which is like a micro dyson sphere. On the outside, it's a barren world, a frozen planet, covered in miles thick ice blanketed in perpetual snowstorm. But, if you know where's the secret entrance on the ravine network, you can access the inner world. The inside of the planet is hollow, and this inner world is covered with lush tropical rainforest, a barren desert, a wide ocean, a variety of ecosystems warmed by the light of artificial fusion star in the center of this megastructure shell. A last place where life could exist, where the universe has gone dark a long time ago...
  8. After days of driving through the desert... We've finally reached the Tomb of Tut-Un Jeb-Ahn... Contact the central command... This is a priority report for RnD team

  10. ARS: Advanced Rocketry and Spaceships With the slogan of ARS: Absurd, Reliable and Spectacular Which consist of several departments such as: ARS: Advanced Rocket System (Launch Vehicle Department) ARS: All-terrain Rover and Surveyor (Rover and Land Vehicle Department) ARS: Aircraft and Rotorcraft Supplier (Atmospheric Craft Department) ARS: Aquatic Research and Science (Watercraft and Submarine Department) ARS: Absurdly Random and Surreal (Bizzare and Absurd Contraption Department) Etc. Etc. Etc... Makes you wonder how My Kerbals navigating the R&D Department when all buildings there are named ARS

  12. Launching several modules for new space station Core module: Rendezvous with relay module: Sending the crew module: Dock with core module: Launching the power module (I need to launch this twice): Rendezvous with station: Docking... Aaaand... it's done The built-in engine allows it to be relocated to Mun or Minmus
  13. So... I was launching a new station module, and I noticed that whenever I switched to map view, it focused on Kerbin by default. Tabbing to switch between object of focus does not list my craft, even if my craft is clearly in Kerbin orbit. All craft icon visibility menu on the upper screen is already turned on and my craft icon is still missing in map view (however, other existing craft has icon like normal, only currently controlled craft has no icon) mod installed: Stockalike stationparts extension redux (newest) Kerbal Planetary Base System (newest) Feline Utility Rover (newest) Near future Electrical, Solar, Construction, Propulsion (newest) Mechjeb (newest) Solaris Hypernautic (obsolete, but it's not the cause, I already confirmed it) can anyone help me?

  15. Or should I say, Explosive finale
  16. Nope, I don't jettison heatshield, since it's still worth some funds when recovered. Even if it isn't possible to get any benefit, it still provides some protection on landing due to being smashed first
  17. Well, there are 2 kinds of mecha genre actually, super robot (TTGL) and real robot genre (gundam)
  18. Who the hell do you think I am!? Sorry, can't resist it. TTGL is the first super robot genre that I watched
  19. Because I'm bored with recent triple A games with emphasis on graphic and system requirements, yet very little replay value. I love games with freedom and replayability, not constrained in a single corridor gameplay script. So for me, a game where I can build and fly anything I made, and doing whatever I want is obviously my go-to choice. If I'm getting bored? Well, there's always mod. If I'm bored because there's no friend to play with? Just go to the forum
  20. Older things, especially spacecraft computer, despite being slower and perform less than modern computer (Even regular cellphone is better) is still used since because they perform slower, they generate less heat, which means less chance of system overheat since in space, heat dissipation is extremely hard. Thus, they're far more reliable in the long run with long service life. Especially important for probes, since they often goes on a mission that can be measured in decades. Modern computer is good and can be used, but user interface beyond simple command line eats a lot of memories, and faster processor generates a lot of heat, which is not good in space. Simpler system also less prone to failure, since the chance of failure increases as the device gets more complex
