I do like the idea of having the tanks look like decals on the balloon texture, whatever that texture winds up being.
-
These parts look absolutely amazing! It's awesome of you to make them.

Not sure if this is a known bug, but I anchored an airship about 13km above the launch pad. When I approached it from near-directly below, it would teleport as soon as I got within a few hundred meters, relocating to ~2500 meters above me, repeating as long as I flew up. This doesn't happen approaching from any other direction.

Nice! Been wanting something like this for over a year now, that's awesome to hear it's in the mod now.

Does Airpark work in the latest version? The last update I see is for 1.0.4

For some reason, this mod isn't showing up on CKAN. Any idea why? -
parts [1.2] USI Survivability Pack (Formerly DERP) [v0.6.0]
Exovian replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Bug to report: Sometimes, in rescue contracts, Kerbals will be put in these. When that happens, the DERP will be in it's uninflated state. The occupant can still EVA out, though. -
Ok, one suggestion, and a question: First, no matter how I assemble the PackRat, the controls are always mapped backwards (S-forward, W-backwards, D/A-left/right). Is there an easy way to fix this? Suggestion: Instead of having the floor mount points on the PackRat linked to the front section, would it be feasible to have them on the chassis parts themselves? It would make the PackRat a lot more modular than it currently is.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Very interested to see how this goes now - to Eeloo, or to home? Or neither? -
[AAR] The Grand Tour - Voyage To The Planets
Exovian replied to czokletmuss's topic in KSP Fan Works
BERTY is correct with regards to the future of Kerbalkind. However, I feel that his actions towards the crew betray a lack of understanding that can only be fixed with healthy communication. I think BERTY would have found the scientists on the mission willing, and with time even eager, to assist him in his chosen directive. He botched that, and badly. -

Long-term Laythe Mission (pic heavy) - ^_^ With Part 45 ^_^

If you want to take a look at it, or try sending it to Laythe yourself, here's a reliable little seaplane of mine that can hold 4 passengers on side panels: http://www./view/b7opo7s0uwd583u/Recovery%20Craft.craft Instructions should be simple: Take Kerbal from top pod and put it into the middle pilot EVA seat. (the top pod could potentially be replaced with fuel if you wanted to try that and send it unmanned). Throttle up; I rarely use more than 10% throttle, as the plane can take off at 20m/s. You are now airborne. Landing: come it at under 40m/s at a very shallow angle, maybe 1-2m/s descent rate, with the engine cut off (this thing glides just fine, believe me). I'd say keep the landing wheels retracted, but I've never tried with them down. When you hit the water, you should slow to a stop very quickly. Ladders on either side lead to the side seats, so Kerbals can swim up and climb on. It can taxi on the water easily, but it's not a speed demon. Takeoff from water: Apply 50% throttle, and keep the plane level. When you reach 20m/s, gently pull up. You should come easily out of the water. Enjoy; I hope this helps. -
[0.22.X] BobCat ind. Historical spacecraft thread
Exovian replied to BobCat's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It certainly has good flight handling, but whenever I try to hold position, the flaps start flailing around like crazy. -

Is anyone else having problems with the Buran and Kliper being very sensitive to controls? They also act like they still have the old ASAS system, shaking themselves to bits when it's applied. -

Excellent post! Now that I'm planning my own mission, what is your opinion on the two different jet engines on Laythe? What made you choose the basic jet? -

I'm loving this! I am definitely using the gear setup on the BirdDogs in my upcoming mission. -
It should be Strelka and Belka.

How do you locate the Easter Eggs now?
Exovian replied to lammatt's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
So I've been driving around where the Memorial was. I found a monolith floating a few meters off the ground, but nothing else. And I'm fairly certain there wasn't one before. -
How do you locate the Easter Eggs now?
Exovian replied to lammatt's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Can someone confirm that the Arches and the Memorial are still above the surface? I've had no luck finding them, and it used to be very easy. -
Any news on .20 support?

Bob. Like the balance there.
