  1. "Isn't that basically rigging the system?" Only if you choose to see it that way, you can draw your own lines. I don't think its 'rigging' if the settings give the opportunity to set your own borders. Why torment yourself with having to do the hated Science to progress, when you can alleviate exactly that part of a career game you might mislike. Aren't you only fooling yourself a bit by depriving yourself from the career game you want when you can unfocus yourself from the Science bit. As for the comm network, I personally use it mostly to control my unmanned vessels, and not really for transmitting science.
  2. Doesn't the difficulty settings help to somewhat balance the game you want to play? If you feel forced to hunt for Science within a career, you could set the Science reward slider to 1000% and/or give yourself 5000 Science to start out with.
  3. Wow, I thought I had it bad, but this, jeeze... I couldn't mute it fast enough, its invoking my tinnitus
  4. I Guess you need to be a @Physics Student to do it with a Retrogade orbit
  5. I'm not even gonna try So both claiming Mun there? They don't look happy
  6. If you scroll back 2 pages, you'll find the setup there. That looks like certain death, any survivors?
  7. Installed Let's see if i can make better rockets now Nice! So it's already implemented (haven't used the console menu yet, trying not to because there might be some uses in there I would be to tempted to use )
  8. That's a good tip Dafni, thanks! I will look into that mod
  9. Although I have not been further then Minmus yet, I would love to see an Lithobraking airbag like the one they used on Pathfinder
  10. I have not uses autostruts that often, but I do tend to forget which parts I've autostruted if I do. I would appreciate to see something like an overlay toggle so I don't have to click on every part to see if it's struted.
  11. I frequently have troubles with wrong 'staging' sequence control as well, trying to lift a rocket from the pad with deployed parachutes is not uncommon.
  12. Great topic! I would say I'm an engineer in KSP, although falling a bit short on the 'capable' bit IRL I would say that I'm more of a flight director
  13. You are comparing your I5-2410M(obile!) CPU to an AMD Phenom Desktop CPU. Most Intel Mobile CPU's are indeed dual core, the desktop variants like linked by Harry Rhodan are quadcores. here is the comparison between the two, it's not really a wonder that the AMD Desktop cpu beats Intels Mobile 2410M http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-2410M-vs-AMD-Phenom-II-X4-965
  14. When I wanted to upgrade for KSP I looked thoroughly into the thread below, a Ryzen 7 has recently been benchmarked there. And it's doing great compared to earlier AMD's processors
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGNjboDtIeg Please help me get it out of my head! ahhhhhhh, this helpes, thank you...
  16. Me in my space rocket suit
  17. Giving my broken down Spacebus (UHJK docking incident ) a push back home
  18. *Make coffee, the NSA will be at the front door in a few minutes... *Ask them why on Earth they selected my Biome to land crash on... *Ask them to move over there rocket, I can't get to my bike... *Tell them that if they wanted to plant a flag, I'd charge em for it... *Call Scott Manley to fix their rocket... *Drive em to all Biomes... *Ask them If they'd rather have Porkjet Parts... *Tell them there basically is not much to do on this planet... *Undock their Rover and take it for a spin...
  19. "docking ludicrous amounts of mods" followed by "get snacks, this will take a few orbits"
  20. Before I bought KSP I was strolling the forum and saw some real cool looking rovers, I would have loved to have the old cockpits
  21. Just one word comes to my mind, WOW! I really enjoyed watching your Saga. Thank you so much for sharing this, I haven't been playing KSP for long and I've learned so much from watching this. Mission planning, Orbital manouvres, planetary encounters. modular building. It has it all! Amazing I've docked without RCS before, but you've made it look easy enough for me to replicate!
