[1.3.1 - 1.12.x] Outer Planets Mod [v2.2.11] [31st Aug 2024]
scottadges replied to Poodmund's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The only thing I was using was OPM. Otherwise, I use Realistic Atmospheres along with Astronomer's Visual Pack. And PlanetShine, Scatterer, TextureReplacer. Trying to think of any other graphics-related mods that I have in my modlist. (I honestly don't know if any of those other ones interact with Kopernicus.) Let me know if there's anything else I can help with the troubleshooting! Thanks for all your awesome work on the mod! -

Hi @Lisias great work on Tweakscale and it seems you're really responsive to questions/issues, so thanks for that! I've upgraded to 1.7.3 and the latest version of Tweakscale from CKAN. I've gotten a few of these "support removed for X parts" notices, so I thought I'd provide (what I hope is) some of those errors for potential diagnosis. It looks like several of these are from SXT but a number seem to be Squad parts as well. You're probably aware of most of these (or maybe some of are new?) Anyway, here are some selected errors: Here is my latest log also with the full info: KSP Log 092719 T1230 Also, here is my full modlist: Thanks for any input you have on these!

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
scottadges replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Awesome, thanks for the on-point and super-fast fix! Thanks also to @DeltaDizzy per his comments on GitHub. If I could like posts right now, you'd be getting a whole lotta likes. -
And we have awesome help! I posted this as an issue in the Kopernicus GitHub: https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/issues/382 And within just a few minutes, @DeltaDizzy replied back with a suggested fix. You can read his explanation at GitHub (about the OnDemandBiomes), but the fix was adding a custom config in GameData: @Kopernicus:FINAL { %useOnDemandBiomes = false } I've tested this on my main savegame and it eliminated the freezing when switching between Flight and Map view! Thanks so much!

Thanks, so far I haven't see that BG surface feature issue. But I haven't landed on any planets since I updated to KSP 1.7.3 so... I guess I have that to look forward to LOL It seems other people are having the Map view / Flight freezing issue over in the Kopernicus thread. I posted there as well.

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
scottadges replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm also getting this freezing when switching between Flight and Map view using Outer Planets Mod / Kopernicus. I primarily use Astronomer's Visual Pack/EVE, plus Distant Object Enhancement & PlanetShine as my main graphic mods along with OPM/Kopernicus. This is on a regular sized solar system running KSP 1.7.3. I've been doing some testing swapping out of these different graphics mods and it seems OPM/Kopernicus is where it's occurring: Any help to resolve would be super-fantastic! Note that recent log & mod list are included in the question thread I started. -
Yeah, switching crafts definitely causes some loading/lagging. But this is more specifically when you are in one craft, then switching out to Map View (m) from Flight view, it freezes for a good 5 sec before loading the map (with planets, orbits, etc.). I've been doing some baseline testing, and selectively pulling out graphics mods (my first thought to start) to see how it responds. This is with the same craft in a clean save vs. my main save (obvs without other concurrent flights). It doesn't appear that the # of flights makes a difference, with those graphics mods removed. I'll keep testing... 'cause I really don't want to play KSP without EVE or OPM... UPDATES: Test #1: Removing AVP/EVE, PlanetShine, Distant Object Enhancement, Kopernicus/OPM. Result: Load into Map view was acceptable (<1 sec) Test #2: Adding back Kopernicus/OPM but leaving out AVP/EVE. Result: Same lag switching into Map view. Test #3: Removing Kopernicus/OPM but including AVP/EVE. Result: Bingo! No lag switching into Map view. So... I guess I'll have to investigate Kopernicus/OPM and see what's going on with that mod.

0/10 I personally haven't see you 'round these here KSP Forum parts. But with 1918 rep / 1921 posts... you've clearly been around, so I'm basically the 0/10 in this matchup!

I've noticed in my updated 1.7.3 install, that it takes much longer to switch from Flight mode into Map view. Is this a known thing with any specific mods? I've tested a stock 1.7.3 install (only mod is Hyperedit) versus my fully modded install, and the stock install is practically instantaneous. Modded install takes approx. 5 secs, which doesn't seem like a lot... but it's painfully obvious. So most likely something is going on with my mod interactions and the Map View loading... Thanks for any input, advice, or troubleshooting direction! Here's my list from CKAN for reference: Most recent log also provided for reference: KSP Log 092619 T1016.log

I've done the same, but using EL 6.4 when running on KSP 1.7.0 - it was working flawlessly. Now I've upgraded to KSP 1.7.3 and the main problem I'm seeing is "Productivity: 0" in this version of KSP, whereas in 1.7.0 on the same craft it was be "Productivity: 23" So I think I need to update the EL DLL to the 6.6.x version which is supposed to run against KSP 1.7.3, but I can't see if there would be any issues. UPDATE: Yup, that did it. I downloaded the updated DL "Launchpad.dll" and swapped it out for the previous 6.4 version. Checked my craft, and now back to "Productivity: 23". I'll report back if I run into any actual construction problems! UPDATE 2: After posting this, I see @nubeees did the same thing I did, several posts above mine (didn’t see it originally)

I've been using Simple Construction for years. I have a jerry-rigged version now on my updated 1.7.3 install and I'm seeing "Productivity: 0" on a craft that under KSP 1.7.0 using the same file had "Productivity: 23". I actually came to this thread wondering if I should upgrade the EL.dll to the latest 6.6.1 version of EL (rather than the 6.4 version I have in there now) and I'm hoping this is a quick fix when using the Simple Construction mod. Anyone using SC with the newer release of EL? UPDATE: After checking a couple things, I downloaded the updated DL "Launchpad.dll" and swapped it out for the previous 6.4 version in the Simple Construction mod folder. Checked on my craft, and now it's back to "Productivity: 23". I'll report back if I run into any actual construction problems using Simple Construction with EL's core DLL.

I had this same concern, the city lights looked a little... off. Sorry, not trying to offend, but it just didn't look right. I pulled the city lights textures into PS and played with the levels and contrast. They ended up much better IMO. (Of course, I wouldn't want to share those files or infringe on the mod maker in any way, but my preference were subtle changes).

Confirming that I had the same issue. Updated my current install from 1.7.1 to 1.7.3, then went ahead and installed KCT 1.4.6.8 (GitHub), but couldn't see any KCT menus when clicking on the button or anything. Testing now with KCT 1.4.6.6 (Spacedock), will update this thread if I can see the windows. Here's a copy of my log using KCT 1.4.6.8 for reference & future testing: KSP Log 092419 T1027.log

[Forum Question] My "like" button disappeared. Is this a setting?
scottadges replied to Chilkoot's topic in Welcome Aboard
Ah, I just discovered this issue myself. Glad to hear it wasn't me losing my mind?! -
Long time user of this mod. Love it! Here's an official "second" for someone/anyone who knows how to make stuff to go ahead and make ReStock textures work with this. Please?! Hopefully someone can follow these directions more closely that myself (barely-technically-literate-KSP-user as I am)
