  1. @Spartwo Ah. Maybe if enough people want to do it I'll start a dedicated thread.
  2. @ShadowGoat Wow! A black rectangle next to a black sphere set against a black sky! I turned up my brightness to max, and is that a shade with a makeover I see? It looks good. I just had an idea, sort of expanding on your tournament idea a few pages back. I could set up a save that is more than a battle, more like a systemwide war with more than 2 people. It would be like everyone's who joined in faction/company and you could ally with people. It could have a rota for turns, and I'm thinking on way to big a scale. Must. Stop.
  3. Cross your fingers... if you have, once you've finished, would you mind showing screenshots? We might be able give tips and things if you want.
  4. Did you save at any point? If not, then... R.I.P.
  5. No, nothing except hyperedit for getting your ships there initially, though graphic mods are okay.
  6. @DarkOwl57 Good luck building! @ShadowGoat Just like you destroyed the F-Tech Task force for scrap? I'm sorry, that was mean of me. As I've been pretty stingy with my craft files lately, I have decided to release my latest ship, the EX-12 Ares. Weirdly, I'm slightly sad to say that unless I change my mind (which I easily might ) that it is the last ship in the EX line. Im not retiring them from active service, just not naming anymore ships with the EX heading. If you didn't know or haven't figured it out yet, I named the EX line after Gaia's twelve titan children, and well... I appear to have ran out of titans. After I've built a few more ships, I might make an gen 2 EX line, probably the EXG2 line or something, but for now, I must say goodbye to the classification of ships that taught me how to build. (melodramatics, whoo! ) But anyway, onto the Ares: EX-12 Ares The Ares is the smallest non-fighter ship in the EX line, weighing only 14.3 tons and 120 parts unloaded. Even so, it is fully armoured with capital ship grade plating. The key feature is its extreme versatility, it can fulfil the roles of anything from a Luxury Space yacht to a light freighter to a gunship, and swap between functions instantly. It accomplishes this by means of a centralised 1.25m docking port and a range of six stock modules. Due to the simplicity of the design, it is simple to create custom modules for extremely specific purposes, just start it of with a 1.25m docking port and make sure the profile isn't wider than a 1.25 part. Out of the box it comes weaponless, but I reccomend attaching two G5L Torpedoes to the radial docking ports for protection. They won't stop anything bigger than a fighter, but you don't want to be engaging anything bigger than a fighter without the weapons modules. It features a targeting sight for lining up shots with the M3 9 I-Beams attachment, and any sort of precision heading adjustments. Specialist Modules The files for these are in the "Payload Subassemblies" folder. To download them, highlight everything in that folder and paste them into your Subassemblies folder in the save of your choice. (This includes the G5L Torpedoes to optionally be attached to the side mounted Jr. Docking Ports) Dropship Configuration Passenger Transport Configuration Deep Space Configuration Light Freighter Configuration Patrol Configuration "Warmonger" Configuration Downloading The file in the download is different in that it contains two subfolders. Download both. The folder entitled "Craft" contains the craft file, which should be pasted into your save as normal, and for the folder called "Payload Subassemblies," you should paste all its contents into the "subassemblies" folder in your save as normal. 7. have you started building your battleship yet?
  8. Damn 2nd rate cheap knockoff top grade military hardware!
  9. Features the latest in architectural techniques, including hexagonal mutual reinforcements and a retractable roof for those sunny days. This skyscraper...
  10. Being a fish, I swim through the ocean, climb the hill, and finish the job, flooding the entire area under several hundreds of metres of water, (think wind waker) you drown, and I claim your house and eat your soggy cookie. My Water Temple Underwater hill.
  11. Known for not having a capital letter in their name.
  12. Oh, I can... Edit: I can't do videos... can I just screenshot Spam all its functions along with the download? it says 1940, does it have to be propeller? Because I can do a stock propeller but getting it 150m/s will be nearly impossible with one engine.
  13. @DarkOwl57 No your not. I'm sueing! Also, @ShadowGoat, anything will absorb a G3 Torpedo from 200m, it was designed to be fired from over 7 times farther away! For the engines, your armour plating is probably blocking the thrust, but I would try checking A: If they have any fuel connections, as ksp was not designed to work with the radically different hulls of warships, or B: If there is only a tiny slit, or no slit at all, from which the engines are visible through the armour. Screenshots and possible craft files would make diagnosing it a lot. Easier. As for the I-beam, if it is offset inside your ship then yes, because it's a structual part. If it is hovering several metres away from you ship though, I think that would be frowned upon.
  14. @ShadowGoat Looks good, But I wouldn't reccomend firing ALL your weapons in one go. Partly because you might destroy your target with one, and partly because you are instantly making yourself incapable of one of the three criteria. Most people use groups of 1 or 2, which would give you 7 shots, enough to at least minor damage to any ship. Apart from that looks great, small, fully armoured with no gaps, and the weapons spread out over the ship making it hard to disable. I could test it if you want if you gave me the craft file? In other news, I just did a battle test of an EX-9 Eos vs An STV Thiar, and the results were very good for the Eos. Giving the Eos the first turn as it is over 3 times lighter, I fire one G3 Torpedo from 1.5 km away. It impacts the armour near the front, (for fairness, during tests I turn the enemy vessel a random direction) and neatly removes exactly half the Thiar's weapons and the armour protecting it, but otherwise leaving it intact. For the Thiars turn, I launch one of the it's 1.25m missiles from 1.7km away, which impacted the Eos straight down the front. By a combination of tight building and sheer luck, the missile hit one of the I-Beams and destroyed only that, leaving the Eos completely intact apart from that. In retaliation I closed in to optimal firing range and launched another G3 Torpedo. It impacted and completely gutted the Thiar, leaving it a shell with no control, engines, power or weapons. With the battle over, The Eos returned to an orbital dry dock for rearming.
  15. thinking about it, I probaly should have figured that out myself... What are your thoughts on these rules i made up for balanced figher squadron use? Fighter Squadrons 1. In a fleet, in place of normal ships, you can instead use a squadron of three identical fighters. They count as one ship, and you can have as many as you want within the specific battles ship limit. 2. When attacking or being attacked, the squadron effectively count as one ship, you can attack all three in one turn and all three can attack in the same turn. 3. Each fighter must be of the same class (though you could possibly use different loadouts) and under 15 tons each, to bring them in line with carriers. Their tonnage is added to your fleet combined. Example: My fleet consists of one battleship at 75 tons, 2 pickets at 40 tons each, and a squadron of fighters at 45 tons. Total mass: 200 tons.
  16. turn it sideways. There is no sentence at the top or bottom, loop ended, paradox over. Next.
  17. Yeah, @Orion Kerman I would ask the mods to move this to forums games, and maybe rename to "paradox solving game" Ignore this
  18. Thats why its called your SUBconsicous. You are not aware of your subconscious making up everything. Edit: same thing @Findthepin1 said.
  19. or "can you prove that you are not in a coma and everything not is a production of your subconsicous?"
  20. I dont think he is trying to make a claim, he never said he believed it himself, I think he is just trying to pose an interesting question and see our responses. If i'm right I think this should be in forum games.
  21. 1604: You see a potato battery being pecked by a bird.
