I tend to have the main interplanetary ship orbit Kerbin, never for atmosphere unless I am decommissioning it. I tend to launch a smaller craft like Gemini, Apollo or Fuji and sock them with the bigger ship and when I'm done onuse the smaller ones to reenter after orbiting Kerbin. I only directly reenter if returning from Mun or Minmus.

To be fair its all I go for I am using Skyhawk's tree, I don't have Titan III and not even close for Saturn parts. I need the money and science and my closes launch window for another planet wont be around for over a year. So I am gonna risk my kerbalnauts in the name of science. Find out tomorrow, my real life schedule is too busy for tonight.

I am gonna name you Wick. Also I got a rocket prepped for a Manned Flyby of Scar. For once not too cursed. I read one proposal for a Lunar Gemini mission was to slap a Centaur on the back of the spacecraft and launch with a Titan with SRBs.

Did they also make an all orange color like the SLS? I know some parts for the Saturn have it already but I do know the S-IC stage does not have it? or only the all white?

I don't think decals would be an issue given 90% of the people here tend to make cursed rockets all of the time lol. But in all seriousness the Atlas rockets are coming along nicely.

About the orbital Mercury mission....I lied. Mission: First Manned Orbit of Frontier. Payload: Mercury Capsule Orbit variation named "Circle 7" Crew: Valentina Kerman VIII. Launch Vehicle: Titan I ICBM. Atleast we did not land on a mountain.

I finally got all the parts for Mercury and after a few unmanned suborbital test I launched my first Kerbal. Spacecraft: Mercury Space Capsule named "Frontier 7" Launch Vehicle: Redstone Rocket. Pilot: Jedediah Kerman VII (No I did not kill him 6 times lol) Before you ask. No, Mercury Capsules do not make great bobsleds. Overall the mission was successful, after 2-3 more suborbital flights we will get the Ti....Atlas Ready for orbital flights.

Due to not being able to send Kerbals to space yet in my career and I need more science and funding I decided to build a Surveyor and land it on Scar. I honestly wanted to use a Atlas Centaur but i do not have Centaur unlocked. That and the Surveyor would throw a Blackstone rocket off balanced. Third reason is I don't have enough funding for the VAB so I am stuck with the 30 part limit. So Welcome the Atlas-Arrow. Bonus Cookie for those who get the tongue in cheek joke with the insignia. I actually removed the SRB from the Surveyor mainly to cut back on part limits but also with the Precursor planet pack, you don't need it to land on Scar. Good news is we safely landed on Scar. Bad News is we landed on the side a mountain. Do I recommend slapping the Black Arrow onto an Atlas and then slap a Surveyor to.....HELL NO! That thing was highly unstable and I barely had enough Delta V to leave Frontier.

Challenge accepted.

Will we have a Navaho or something similar to launch it, or is that something for us to kitbash lol.

How to get a satellite into a high orbit around Frontier and don't have powerful rockets. Mix and match a Redstone with a Black Arrow and slap two Castor Booster, Does Red Arrow or Blackstone sound better? I am sorry for the shape but while Frontier is smaller than Kerbin, its gravity and pressure is bigger and I had to reach a very high orbit. Test to see how TUFX works. After a long absence due to various personal reasons. I am back and playing on a new career. The probe Zira became the first Kerbal made object to flyby Scar. Aslo got a Frontier rise. Yes, I am still sending Juno Guidance units as probes, No TUFX right now due to the planet and Moon being dark.
