Speaking of Skyhawk's techtree I finally did a Mun landing with it. Mission: Apollo 4. Payload: CSM named Amadeus and LEM named Falco. Crew: Valentina as Commander and LM pilot, Jebediah as CSM pilot and Bill as Engineer. Unfortunately Falco's name decal did not load. CTV camera footage of Valentina steeping onto the surface. Now Bill, thanks Val for holding the camera. Thankfully I did not unlock the ALSEP because where I landed parallax lagged my computer to no end.

I'm back from my vacation and decided for today to see if I can send a unmanned Mercury Lab into Orbit of the Mun with a Super Jupiter. Most of the time I do night launches is so I can do a Direct Ascent to the Mun because something tells me it might do a death tumble if I did not just go straight. It has enough Delta V in stock scale to orbit the Mun and head back to Kerbin. After orbiting Kerbin its just a standard Mercury return. Since I need science for the CSM and the LM's engines I can safely say Mun Pie 7 is a go for later this week.

I finally did a manned Munar Flyby mission with Skyhawk's tree and we one upped the Koviets. This time it was in the day and not at night. I just love the Gemini docking camera. Val steps out to do a spacewalk and check out her new suit. It is not a waste of money. Why arent you waving Val? Final picture taken by Lovell of Kerbin. Unlike the Chaffee Capsule, Lovell actually splashed down. Bonus funny science result. It does further support that Big Gemini can reach the Mun and flyby. An orbit might be possible but no way of returning and a landing is out of the question so we are still forgoing with Apollo for a Mun landing.

Bad news for Apollo on my end. A fire onboard the capsule during training killing three new kerbalnauts. Until we can determine what caused it and how to prevent more fires we are suspending development on Apollo. So what are we gonna test the Saturn I and V on and flyby the Mub before the Koviets you may ask? BIG GEMINI!!!! So far we did 2 Saturn I launches (They were also my first success using the Saturn Is) A unmanned then a Manned. We only were able to afford 1 Saturn V Launch so we decided to do the original goal of Apollo 6 by sending a unmanned spacecraft to the Mun and demonstrate the S-IVb's potential. Now we just need enough budget to do a manned munar flyby. By no means Big G is gonna replace Apollo while a munar flyby is possible, the Main tank and Fuel Cells run on the same fuel and what not a munar landing with Big Gemini is far fetched. So Big G would more than likely be used as a ferry for space stations and tourism.

Everyone else: ..... Me: I wonder if I can strap a Delta upperstage onto a Titan and send them to other planets. So I did that and sent a probe to Ike and a lander to Moho since I had contracts for both. Due to previous failed attempts at launching I did not screencap the Ike probe launch until the end but I did screencaps on the Moho lander launch. Now the actual missions. No Ranger cam photos on the Ike orbiter the Antenna blocked it. Next one the Moho lander. No joke even with the the help of the Delta stage I ran out of fuel 3 seconds before impact and hoped the RCS thrusters would land it. It did but if this was a manned mission the crew would've gotten severe whiplash.

I did two interplanetary orbits which after completion gave me enough fundings to upgrade R&D to build Saturn rockets and Apollo. First mission: Baxter, Destination Duna. We also had some leftover Nimbus instruments to detect possible weather on Duna which in surprise it may have indicate there might be rain or snow on Duna, we might have to do a landing to see if that is true. Second Mission: Elvira 2. A interesting photo of Eve's Northern Hemisphere had the Kerbal States in panic thinking the camera took what looked like an alien spaceship. The KSC immediately had to tell them that it was really the kitbashed booster used for Elvira. Same case as Baxter we used leftover Nimbus Instruments to study the atmosphere though we also had a ultraviolet instrument and found out that it does rain on Eve. It doesn't touch the ground and we are debating whether that the liquid falling is grape juice, soda or Wine. As fun as those missions were I am still far away from being able to build Saturn and Apollo. However I have been debating whether to do Apollo or pull a N9 and instead use Gemini for Lunar Mission.

A bunch of random pictures I took during missions today including a Minmus Sample Return, Moho flyby and the first Docking. In your face Koviet Union you commie sons of a REDACTED we docked first. The LV for Softee 2 and Momo. I think it would be a Titan Delta. Softee 2 on Minmus. Momo enters Moho's SOI. (spoiler due to space saving.) My attempt to launch an Atlas-Able for a satellite contract. (Unfortunately I forgot Skyhawk's tree makes it you have to select fuel for each tank and I forgot to do it for the Able Stage.) Gemini 6 aka Susan B. Kerman has successfully docked with an Agena Targeting vehicle.

The Kerbal States one upped the Koviets by sending the first probe to another planet unfortunately due to budget restrictions we could not afford the powerful antenna and had to wait for the probe to get close to Kerbin to get science. Elvira 1: A modified Juno Guidance system is sent to Eve. Again Bill the cameras? Doen't matter what career I do, I still love using the Ranger TV camera lol.

After many setbacks and the lost of Debussy 4 we were finally able to send a probe to the Mun and return with a surface sample. Taken the day before launch, Debussy 5 was rolled out on a Titan III. Liftoff! After a couple of hours Debussy 5 touched down barely missing rocks and went to dig up or in this case break a Mun Rock. This is a modified Debussy lander with a heatshield, more tanks and a Vanguard engine. Now for reentry Debussy detaches from the lower tank. We have splashed down, though next time we might add beacons just incase we land at night (Write that down Bill.) While we have successfully brought home a Munar sample before the Koviets, a Minmus sample might be feasible but we're still on the fence since Debussy 5 barely had enough Detla V to take off from the Mun and return to Kerbin.

While still working on a sample return vessel we decided to extend the Mercury Lab's life support system capable to last months. The LS tanks are different color to distinguish the supplies and waste. Nothing lab related but I still love the Waterfall effects of the Retro motors. Overall Erly Kerman has lasted a total of 90 days in orbit and currently holds the record for longest stay in space. As for cabin fever thank the Kraken that Erly is a Introvert. On a technical note I did have decals on the vessel and rocket but for some reason Conform Decals keep going invisible during launch.
