2 easy ways to make money 1. a first stage that can land back at the space center so you can collect 99% of the money back 2. space stations.......build them so they can land back at the space center, complete the contract, then land it and collect all your money back. and if you are cheap like me you build every mission with the least amount of parts

PFFT Eve can keep that pile of junk plus i have over 90 mil in funds i think i can take the loss but its not really a loss because i made a profit on the mission. i usually throw away all probe missions when done

Mission to Eve we will test out our fancy launch system ( AKA 2 boosters) our boosters basically throw us into space at epic speeds side rockets decoupled orbit set we finally arrive engine and tank decouple we barely make it burning down almost all the fuel to make orbit coming in we blow up 2 of the science gears and of course with all that land we land in the water

the ultimate kerblin 3 challenge mission control must have been impressed with my recent work and have trusted me with it, i must deliver them a space craft only worthy of such a mission. all the best engineers were contacted, all the dumpsters were searched, and we designed and built a craft mission control would indeed be proud of. The Kerbal SP-1............S for space.....P for plane.....and since it only has room for 1 the kerbals felt this name was perfect. and away we go fuel tank de-coupled and our 4 mini nuclear engines pollute space but give us great gas milage first stop minus 2nd stop the mun will we make it? the parachutes go out just before the launch pad and we land right back where we started \o/

i use 1.2.2 and its just so stable with mods i dont want to mess with it

messing around i found something that could be useful. lets say you build a rocket using any 4 engines on its mainstage, those engines work great in atmosphere but not really any high gains once in space. our goal is to make this rocket get to full orbit, its just shy of doing this at 2000 m/s so it makes about 3/4 of the orbit or so. we could add another small tank of fuel but with 4 engines its going to eat it up and maybe give us small gain and hit orbit. but then i thought "what if i decoupled 2 of the engines mid flight?" when gravity and wind resistance its no longer an issue so i did that at 500 m/s and now with the lost weight of the engines and vacuum taking over we exceeded that 2000 m/s from last time and hit 2875m/s just from ditching 2 engines.

contract to Hale which looks like an asteroid, its a moon of Sarnus. LETS GO! even under max time warp it took 10min......coffee time we finally arrive and get a good look what we have. we got a slate moon encounter coming in so we will take a peek and get some science lots of dips,mountains,and craters/ finally an encounter, that took way longer than expected. its SOI was soooooo small. and we have arrived. a nice view of Sarnus and we get that delicious science we have been after. fun fact - i moved the probe to take a few more screen shots and i blew it up LOL go me!

got a mission to Dres, i never heard of that place this sounds like a job the eggsplorer can handle apparently i didnt take a screen shot of the launch......go me! decouple and orbit set MOAR SCIENCE! we visit the surface and unlock its mysteries with our fuel too low to do much else we visit an asteroid and land on it.

decided to take a mission and test the space plane i made, only flew it around low orbit a bunch of times tweaking it so this should be fun. moon mission only i dont think it could make minmus too as ill be burning fuel to alter orbit. just pile drive through the atmosphere we aint got time to waste kick off main tank and burn for glory FOR SCIENCE! time to go home but there is a problem.......we are out of fuel and our orbit is going off course....dis gunna be gud! Val - "we got this" Me - "OMFG PLZ TURN" NOOOOOO its right there it cant end like this wait...wait.....its coming back....we are coming home awww yeah boy landed like a boss, that was super fun.

point the ship upwards towards the 45 degree angle so the bottom of the ship is dragging more than the cockpit and the result should be a lot better

it took about 10 tries after realizing how crappy it flies, but after some trial and errors i managed to barely make it there with no hope of returning lol

most gpu cores can hit 90c before they start having issues

career mission to duna ( surface science ) science probe with all the goodies, notice its very advanced first stage? going up.....kinda off course but will fix once up in orbit orbit fixed side rockets decoupled we go behind kerblin and burn towards AP and sit back and sip our coffee intercept reached and we find tune it while still behind kerblin orbit reached and set to bring us in nice and easy now we keep the craft as horizontal as possible and glide to glory at this point i realize i didnt use lander legs wonderful thankfully the reaction wheel in the probe core keeps us from falling over

so apparently the key to making a great space craft is 6 shots of whiskey and drunk flying. this thing is super speedy and glides forever, one of the best space planes i ever made. (re-size mod used for booster tips, wings, and plane nose) feeling those G's tank de-coupled

got a mission to expand the party station and forgot how bad it cripples my fps i use this to send retired kerbals to after they perform years long science trips for me
