  1. I wouldn't know. About the most interesting thing I live near to is a factory that still manufactures cassette tapes. (In that regard, anyway. I am also near Edwin Hubble's birthplace.) TUBM could engage in a worthwhile conversation using nothing but Parks & Rec quotes.
  2. Not i Not in the slightest. TUBM has 100% of the achievements in at least one video game.
  3. Uh, duh. Stuffed crust is the best. Had it yesterday and leftovers today. TUBM has binged an entire TV show in a weekend.
  4. Nope. I have five. TUBM grew up with an NES.
  5. Care to tell how? I've been wanting this for years and it seems to be one of the few VAB/SPH functions missing from the in-flight construction mode.
  6. I'm waiting for a nice model of SN15, which I'm sure will show up eventually, but this one's not bad. https://www.thingiverse.com/make:934094 You can get printers for under $200 USD, and decent filament for ~$15 a kg. I don't know what kind of budget you have, so I suppose that could still be too much, but if it's been quite awhile since you've looked, they're not nearly as pricey as they used to be. Yes, there are still super expensive ones out there, but I think everyone should start with a cheap one. There's quite a learning curve and it's definitely not for everyone. There are literally thousands of slicer settings and the machines need constant tweaking to keep going, especially if you switch material types often.
  7. I didn't get near that high, although it probably would have eventually. However, I definitely had you beat on speed. Only took me a couple seconds to get to that altitude... without time warp. Roughly 12,000,000,000c will do that.
  8. Overlapping threads have been merged. Please try to remember that if you post something in the wrong place, just report your own post and ask us to move it for you. Cross posting just creates confusion and can send the wrong message. Also, some content has been removed. Everyone is free to disagree, but putting people down and being rude is not something we like to see here. If you see something you don't like, please just use the aformentioned report function and let us handle it.
  9. They are really tiny, especially when you consider that a lot of the times when we see a rocket engine, it stands taller than a person. Or in the case of an F1, could actually be classified as a small apartment. The first time I got a reason sense of scale for the Rutherford was with this picture:
  10. You should probably check and make sure the Daleks aren't planning anything...nefarious.
  11. Some content has been removed for being both off-topic and for backseat moderating. If you see something on the forum that you believe is against the rules, please just report it and let us take care of it, don't call it out in the thread yourself. Thank you.
  12. I've thought about it. I'm sure someone out there's put together a piece list.
  13. Isn't that more of a safety/testing thing and not as a limitation of the launch profile? Just because it's not doing RTLS doesn't mean it can't, right? It could just be doing a short boostback so they can test landing without destroying... everything.
  14. Daughter and I built the Lego shuttle this past weekend, which allowed for this to happen.. The top one is an official Lego set I picked up at Walmart awhile back. Middle one is a Lego knockoff brand that the Smithsonian sells.
  15. Given that this isn't exclusive to KSP and the direction the thread's gone, I'm popping it over to The Lounge.
  16. Moved to Kerbal Network since it's about the store and not the game. I have no idea, since I don't have a store account. You might be best off emailing support@kerbalspaceprogram.com and asking them there.
  17. I got my daughter her own Saturn V for Christmas... and it is, amazingly, still intact.
  18. The best part of growing up is being able to buy your own Legos.
