Why are people happy and celebrating across the galaxy? The majority of the empire's fleet still exists, and presumably at least some of the population were pro-empire, so the galaxy should have been total chaos and anarchy after the battle of Endor. With the emperor dead, local leaders would try to seize power, and the galaxy would fall into civil war. No wonder the New Republic was useless. Also, all of the Ewoks die a few hours later due to the death star's debris. Critiquing star wars with real world physics is not a good idea, but it has to obey logic and internal consistency in order to be considered good. As another example, 50 dinosaurs escaping is not a global or even local threat. They'll get shot, run over, or eaten by wolves.

Space Race - RO/RSS/RP-0 (April 1956)
DAL59 replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Hiatus? -
Eragon is a bit closer to Star Wars than just what you'd get via hero's journey stuff. The last battle is fought with small fury creatures.

As long as you don't actually call it the BFR, its not copyrighted. SpaceX isn't going to sue you for promoting their rocket.
-
Why didn't ancient China discover Alaska if they had such massive navies?
-
Wait, its not even pretending to not be buyable propaganda? And it literally says who their helping making narratives for? Good job website designer

KSP inspired me to design a liquid-fueled rocket engine

This is proof scientifically accurate space battles aren't boring. -
Plus the whole "forcing NASA to delay CC because they don't want SpaceX to beat them" thing.
-
WAsn't it already delayed to 2023? So now EUS isn't until 2024 or 2025? SpaceX could make 2-5 BFRs in the time it takes NASA to make just one EUS.
-
There are some chemicals on Mars, and there is plenty of metal in Mars' moons.
-
The lunar BFR will be in use by the time the Boeing moon lander is used.
-
The point is, it could take several days for the teleport- who knows?

Running List: Simple Suggestions
DAL59 replied to Wcmille's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Why haven't any of these been done? Squad has largely ignored very basic problems with the game, and its really falling behind in terms of years old bugs and basic quality of life improvements. -
Let Hollow Parts Protect Contents from Drag
DAL59 replied to OHara's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Why wouldn't they? It would be trivially easy and its basically a bug. -
At least add wheel tracks.

Antartica is much easier than Mars to reach, but is very different. While Mars is cold, the thin air does not wisp away heat very fast, and the wind blowing stuff is not an issue. There is also actual rocks and solid ground with building materials, not just ground buried under miles of ice. Also, antartica goes dark for 6 months a year, making agriculture in antartica harder than on Mars, which has Earth length days (most plants can easily survive 40% light, or can be bred to, otherwise they wouldn't survive cloudy days(some plants would even be fine at the orbit of Saturn)). A better analogy would be colonizing a mongolian mounaintop where you can't breath.

Contact isn't a very good movie. 1. Why where people willing to believe in aliens and metal rings that glow blue, but not time dilation, when there was direct the "18 hours of static"? Its completely unreasonable that people would dismiss time travel after aliens were discovered. Surely as an astronaut she would be considered mentally sound and reliable? 2. Why did they not send a dummy through the second machine? Did they just forget about it? 3. At a price of "only" 350 billion, China would have build one too. 4. Wait a few decades and build it on the moon in case its a bomb. 5. The aliens are perhaps the stupidest aliens ever. Apparently, they test civs by having one person hallucinate for a few hours, and seeing if anyone believes them. Its a great sign of any civilization if they just immediately believe hallucinations! Luckily in her case she had a camera. 6. WHY ISNT SHE WEARING HER HELMET AND WHY IS THERE NO FOOD OR WATER IT COULD JUST TELEPORT HER TO INTERSTELLAR SPACE arghh What I don't get is, asteroid impacts are dramatic. They wouldn't lose anything with realism!

Usually there are interdictors though. The real question is why there were no interdictors in TLJ's fleet.
-
Why is the meteor just cruising along like a plane? Why does it look like a ballistic missile at 0:05? Also, according to online calculators, the heat and air blasts would hit long before the tsunami.
