  1. I have a rescue mission active, but the capsule the rescue target is in has no hatch. can someone help with editing the save file so that it is a capsule with a hatch? Also, how do I attach a file to the question? very new to the forums.
  2. I play a heavily modded install on a computer that was never designed for gaming, and it has a bad framerate and in the editor screens, it frequently stops running for up to around 50 sec. I get little extra lag in-flight, (due to basically exclusively part packs) but whenever I pick something up in an editor, it occasionally just stops doing anything for a bit, and its getting on my nerves. I play in 1.3.1 (on this install), so are there any mods that stop this? I know about ATC, but it's for 1.2 last time I checked...

  4. Just pics of the events. The learning curve of the orbital mechanics, rocketry, and just general realism.

I'm doing a project for school about the educational merits of KSP, and I was wondering: how do players usually expand their knowledge and expertise, and which missions do people usually do in sequence? I've already gone through this process, but I honestly don't remember what I did to get into actually playing the game instead of fooling around... Plus, I'm trying to link KSP player expansion to IRL rocket science history.

  7. I keep on seeing people moving parts across the ship their building, and whenever I try to do that, the pieces just stop moving, or start moving up when I pull the sideways arrow. How do I do unlimited moving?
  8. steam, and I'm using the beta (i think) because I was trying to downgrade KSP to 1.2.2 for RO, and now I cant get to 1.4.3.
  9. is there a version compatable with 1.3.1? when i installed this, it crashed my game, and I cant find it on CKAN.
  10. Those ideas could very well work. Also, I can't speak for anyone else, but I actually like this version of MP and would gladly play it. That said, I am still very much opposed to minecraft style MP (as in, playing real time and together instead of just having players work together and not really come into contact).
  11. I created my first successful SSTO with a Matt Lowne tutorial. It works reliably, is fully stock, can get to minmus pretty easily, and can easily swap the crew cabin for a large cargo bay. After that and I realized that they were actually quite easy and fun, plus they are great in a career mode play through, as, with a little practice, you can easily get 100% of it back from landing back at the runway. As for cargo capability, it's pretty hard to make a successful and reliable one, but definitely worth it, as you get 100% of the ship back other than the fuel. Plus, I find planes more fun to build and fly, but Rockets are easier, more reliable, and work faster. But that depends on the design.
  12. Made my first SSTO. worked beautifully, then made a smaller one designed to land on minmus and get back, crashed it, saved Jeb with an Apollo style probe lander, Then finaly landed it on minmus and got home with Val in it with minimal cheating. Then got KSP intersellar again.
  13. I think that multiplayer for KSP is a bad idea, since lots of people wold just sabotage launches and make the game suck (unless explosions is what your looking for). Plus, the game has many mods for multiplayer that work fine (I think, I have not used any of them). As for what is next, I seriously hope they make KER part of the stock game, or at least TWR and Dv stats, and also maybe KAC.

  15. I've been seeing conflicting things in regard to kerbal engineer redux and kerbal alarm clock. On spacedock, it says that kerbal alarm clock does not work in 1.4, but i have seen many people use it in 1.4, and the same goes for KER. do they work or not?
  16. does this work with 1.3.0? I cant find that version of this.
